World of Warcraft: Shadowlands may not be in Beta yet but that release date gets closer and closer. For it to be a success, there are some lessons that Blizzard have to learn from Battle For Azeroth (and WoW Classic) – good and bad. We talk content schedules and 9.0 patches, what Covenants and Soulbinds need to learn from the Azerite and the AP grind, mini-raids, mage tower, Mythic+, time-gating content in the War Campaign, the pain of Dazar Alor and how Oribos can avoid the same mistakes. IThe Maw, Torghast and more. Join us!

  1. becuz I think that theres a lot of debate on if shadowlands is going to sell well . well I think that its going to sell really well, but a lot of people are gonna play for only like 20 minutes and then their going to just quit, not becuz their scared of the shadow realm, but becuz they don't like all the elements that require the player to be versatile. tell me if u agree with this:D

  2. What’s wrong with flying? Why you put it here? Actually flying is the worst thing that has been added in BC. And since they legion/WoD they did the right thing to make available only for those, who completed all necessary quests.
    I don’t understand your idea

  3. Possible solution to M+ loot = Tokens / increasing the amount of tokens per boss as you go higher key (Similar to HC badges in TBC but with more / less reward according to what key you complete) therefore changing gear at vendor once every season which can be a recolor of raid set maybe? Ofc they can make all new gear but shooting for the easiest less effort way to give something new every season.

  4. What is if utmost importance is to stop
making each individual player the single hero of Azeroth!! Back in TBC, we were one soldier among many and all the achievements we made were just a small individual contribution to the greater cause. Now it’s like, hey, everyone’s special, everyone’s the chosen one. Boring as f…

  5. Actually I hate the pathfinder thing to be able to fly. Especially the reputation part, some of them are a pain in the ass… like suramar or mechagon… so fuck it. Just give the fuckin ability to fly, because we already earned it about 4-5 times. I don't want to visit every fuckin cave, road, crap pile village with never ending swarms of mobs and NPCs, I don't want to get again exalted with mana addict night elves or braindead turtles/rusty terminators to be able to fly. I just hate when I got overrun by a fuckin legion of mobs, while trying to find the fuckin plant I have to pee on for the 10000x time, because I have to do the WQ…Oh… about WQs… fuck them, fuckin repetitive and 90% make no fuckin sense. Like the guiding a turtle trough a labirynth or whatever, or playing "match the same piece of garbage I collected", etc etc. Please, just don't add again WQs, or at least make them give some useful things, and somehow make them less repetitive.
Don't misunderstand me, I like WoW, one of the games of my life, I have lots and lots of memories, but since Cataclysm it's becoming more and more repetitive, grindier, boring and last but not least more casual. Like some more expansions and the game will play itself, you don't even need to push a button. Classes becoming so simple, so boring etc.

  6. You will be very disappointed, there is a huge chance the shadowlands story will include titans; especially Argus and Azeroth. 😕 Argus is the titan aspect of Death

  7. Dear Blizzard, I've tried to be polite. Your disgraceful handling of flying in the last three expansions has to be rectified. Open up flying on ALL FORMER EXPANSIONS to EVERYONE. And don't pull the rubbish "play every bit of our content" trick to open it in Shadowlands. You are ASSHOLES. You are wrecking the game for casual players. 15 years in this game and you are still at war with casuals. Whoever came up with the pathfinder bullshit needs a radical attitude adjustment.

  8. How to fix mythic + loot feeling bad. Make each season contain 5 or more dungeons from one or two expansions as mythic + dungeons per season on a rotation. It'll mean each season contains different content to do as well as a whole slew of new loot added onto the loot tables allowing for greater customization of characters and brings old content back into relevancy. Plus who doesn't want to suffer through Cata dungeons now back with added affixes XD.

  9. I still probably won't do Pathfinder. The rep grind isn't bad but they always require a certain rep level with a faction that's in an abysmal map like Suramar or Nazjatar. Those maps are so bad the ability to fly isn't enough to convince me to go to them.

  10. just a little correction: mop had no big bad guy we aimed the whole addon – garrosh and siege of orgrimmar was a big surprise.. we knew that it should something like an old sha god but never had a plan that it would be garrosh until it got offical

  11. The problem with flying in BFA – I have maxed my gear, but yet to complete flying. i don't have any reason to travel there anymore… It should be open by ZONE. so that it feels like there is some progression.

  12. Earning flying was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO damn grindy. It was way too painful to unlock. I was late to the show and I preferred dungeon leveling. This made earning flying ABSOLUTELY MISERABLE! I had to go back after reaching max level to go and do quests that gave me nothing but achievements. BUT as soon as I finished that the new patch came out and I went from grinding quests…… to grinding MORE quests. This completely killed the whole game for my wife and myself.

  13. God I absolutely hate Pathfinder to fly if you want to make it interesting🙄 make it a guest like the pally or warlocks mount quest not to long not to short and not annoying like Pathfinder

  14. With all the levels being squished, what happens if I level a character to lvl 60 and then shadowlands hits? will It stay on lvl 60 or will it be proportionally squished to lvl 30 for example?

  15. I want arenas that rent just a themed area with the same pillars over and over. Make things a little more creative, platforms that move, things that drop. Something…anything!

  16. Flying is always going to be a thing, I love flying mounts and the ability to fly makes life so much better.

Also pathfinder happens as you play, I came back and all my reps for the first month or so of BFA were revered, and this mean to just needed to focus on the last two reputations.

  17. hey BC sort a had illidan twirling his thumbs playing with a skull till we went and snuck up on him and killed him!
hahah, i kid because i really enjoyed Burning crusade with the wild new world.

  18. honestly i think we also need more patches per expansion because the expansion lifetime just feels too low to me just like an extra half a year or maybe even a year would be really cool to me

  19. The story and feel of bfa sucked, hope they make it like wrath or burning crusade where it focused on an actual enemy instead of stupid worms and titan bullshit

  20. If zones were much larger, interesting and densely packed with activities… Then there wouldn't BE a need to lock flying behind a time-gated, two-part achievement with frankly absurd requirements. Nobody enjoyed grinding rep for Tortollans, and those that did are lying. If NOT zipping around on a mount is more interesting, then less people are going to zip around on said mounts.

The truth is that removing the ability to fly is a means to artificially slow progression. It takes you longer to grind mats, it takes you longer to reach a quest hub, it takes you longer to deliver those quests, it takes you longer to do your WQ's. EVERYTHING takes longer. You will be dazed, dismounted and probably die of fall damage constantly. As a result that means Blizzard can skimp on all aspects of development because it takes MORE time to do LESS content. THAT is why they time gate flying, and WE need to stop pretending otherwise.

    My list for Shadowlands;

Grant flying. Make zones more interesting instead.

Meaningful and impactful progression. Doing the same Mythic+ for the same item that is now 10 ilvl higher and has 30-40 more Crit is absurd, and expecting players to do that is insanity.

Remove Allied Races entirely, fit additional races into the expansion's narrative in a way that makes sense. A Void Elf joining the Alliance during the assault on Argus, then expected to go level in Westfall? Not only are you deprived of something you're hyped for until you've grinded every day for 2-3 weeks… The result is inescapably stupid. If you're not going to give them the Death Knight, Demon Hunter and Pandaren treatment with a whole sequence of quests culminating in joining their respective factions, then just add them as a race and be done with it.

  21. I mean Bfa is a shit expansion, but I really loved how in the beginning, I thought we were fighting the other faction for the control over Azeroth, but ended up fighting to save Azeroth itself

  22. Also, seasonal M+ tier sets would be so coooooool, like pvp season sets, but with tier set bonuses that make m+ a bit more interesting, like take 0 dmg from necrotic or something I dunno
