The demonic army was never actually defeated. We just imprisoned Sargeras and broke the Burning Legion structure he himself placed upon the demons but the demons still remain in insane numbers. Even more importantly the Legion itself was created by the dreadlords that manipulated Sargeras and until a few years back the dreadlords were really the main brains behind the Legion aside from the eredar.

Now everyone is coming to Azeroth in the world soul saga, the void, the light, the titans and as you may remember the main dreadlord Denathrius left us with a huge cliffhanger. He already has a life agent, he has a big agent in the Light with all the evil light invasion hints but his main invasion force when he comes is going to be the demonic army he had nurtured for thousands of years. So the demons are coming back but this time without Sargeras, without the Burning Crusade and with a NEW goal.

  1. The Dreadlords behind legion Shadowlands retcon takes so much away from the old story that it actually makes me feel like shit. Totally pointless to compliment a dogshit lore narrative. Hopefully they will make some changes with the chronicles p4

  2. It is worth noting, that both the nathrezim and Denathrius and his minions are known for their immense arrogance, making anything penned by any of them likely to be highly biased. The ingame book [ Enemy Infiltration Preface] is also seemingly written prior to any of their number joining the Light, which may not have gone as well as expected. Another thing is in the process of becoming a Lightbound they seemingly have their negative emotions and feelings purged….and lets not forget Xe'ra's ability to apparently easily gaze into and search the soul of others (As we have seen in Ten Thousand Year War) also implies it would at least be very difficult to hide their intentions and maintain their free will against beings such as the naaru for thousands of years.

  3. cinematic after defeating Jailer – Zoval sees Denathrius, because these are his memories, when he was enslaved by all four and imprisoned in Maw, Primus imprisoned him by convincing the others, it was obvious that he wanted to warn about the danger, but they did not listen, Primus was already guarding it, that's why we have the words "A cosmos divided will not survive what is to come.”

  4. Can demons still be reborn if they weren't killed in the twisting nether? If so, it would be hilarious if Xavius comes back, was actually a dread lord this whole time, and was also disguised as Malfurion when Tyrande and Mal reunited. It would be the biggest slap in the face that Tyrande has experienced so far in the lore, having to kiss Xavius after their drama in Legion, and it could open the door for Xavius as dread lord appearing as Malfurion and imbued with life energy to be the actual "life agent". It would definitely be slick for him to play his hand, reveal that Tyrande was deceived yet again, and then make us question how many of the interactions we have had with Mal have been genuine or if he's still a prisoner/dead and it has instead been a returned Xavius this whole time. Of course, burning or corrupting the new Night Elf tree would be overused, but he could be creating his own tree and trying to warp the Emerald Dream in a different way than he did with the Emerald Nightmare. In some way that Life could become corrupted and turned evil, it could be a similar way that they are allegedly doing with the Light. I think Life could get out of control, kinda like what we saw with the genesaurs in WoD. I remember it being feared in the questlines that an army of genesaurs would upset all kinds of balance. Watch a corrupted/imposter Malfurion/Xavius lead the "living crusade" as he makes a power play yet again.

  5. So I don't know if this was ever explained but the Void tank pet for locks. I don't get it. That wouldn't really be considered a demon would it? It looks like pure void energy and that's not the same as fel. And if so then how can a lock summon a void creature? Shouldn't it be green fel? A fel lord? If it IS supposed to be void then how is it no one has ever questioned it in any story line in game that I can think of?

  6. So the new legion is doing exactly what the old legion did expect with a new writing team? 🤦🏻 Did we forget that like three expansions ago the legion attacked and everyone was a target? They literally had invasion point events all throughout the different zones so what’s different this time? It’s not like we’re gunna lose

  7. Denathrius leading a new Legion as a part time foe, part time friend would be a great way to reintegrate him into the lore (ignoring the Jailer’s storyline entirely lol) AND show a new, more interesting Fel. How cool would it be to skirmish with his forces, but still have demons assist in fights against the Void, bad Titans, or fanatical light?

  8. Come to think about it, Denathrius is kind of the most dangerous force out in the cosmos. He can destabalize the force of light, and command the remainder of the legion and the scourge. The void is terrified of the cosmological force of death, and seeing as how the nathraziem are fanatically loyal to Denathrius and are also capable of taking on any of the 6 forces powers for their own, there really isnt any way to corrupt a nathraziem or denathrius. He's kind of the Tywin Lannister of the WoW cosmos right now.

  9. So, given how it was Sargeras (a Titan) who started the Burning Legion, technically in collabouration with the Dreadlords (from Death), then who or what are the OG Disorder gang and what were they doing while their cosmological force was taken over?

  10. So we've seen the benevolent Fel manifest in Illidan and the demon hunters. It would be interesting if their story continued with them dominating all of Fel as a cosmic force, lending Fel's strength to… "us" I guess. We've also seen a benevolent form of void in Alleria Windrunner and the void elves. The evil side of Death has been completely dominated and now works in our favor–and it has reverted back to its proper function according to the First Ones' design. Maybe in The Last Titan we will release Azeroth from prison and she'll be the Titan that dominates the pantheon, kicks Aman'Thul off his silly throne and brings Order back to its original First Ones design. Similarly, we could also see Anduin live up to his former Light affinity and become the benevolent force that takes 'The Light' as we know it back from the fanatical armies and Naaru who all seem to be trying to dominate over the entire cosmos (Anduin has been REALLY pissed off and conflicted over being dominated in Shadowlands). I don't know what will happen with "Life" as a cosmological force. I haven't really seen it build up to anything in a similar pattern. I've always had a suspicion that Life is not a cosmological force at all, but some kind of byproduct or end result of the First Ones' design. We do have a "Zereth Vitae" though. So maybe that theory doesn't work and Life genuinely is its own cosmological force. If that's the case then there's likely a future plot line that will give us an form of 'evil' life force that is vying for domination over Life and there will be a character who overthrows them and represents 'balance.' Or maybe we already represent it. Either way, the 'Life' plot arc is all too underdeveloped and open-ended to know where it's going. But with all the repetition of this "stop the tide of cosmological domination in favor of balance" theme going on, it makes sense to theorize that we're going there eventually.

  11. bro i would literally save denathrius for one of the last Bosses. Build his character and how he has a hand in all the forces playing chest while they play checkers besides the void. i wouldnt be surprise that he let us win so he could leave the spot light and continue his plan to take over the other forces or take from them what he need to get what he wants

  12. If every cosmic faction has its own Pantheon, I would be interested in seeing what the Disorder/Demon Pantheon was like and where they've been.

Maybe Sargeras locked them up in Tarratus.

  13. Seeing that at legions peak sargeras alone was more powerful than the entire legion.

So them having suffered this much casualties and denathrius overall being pretty weak like we couldn't beay sylvanas in SoD while we defeated denathrius in nathria without any help.

And against razageth who is around empowered aspect level we needed help placing denathrius around wild god level as such bellow archimonde or KJ and if archimonde is alive which is a possibility denathrius would fall into pretty low threat level with weakened legion and no insta ress for them.

  14. Okay so, hear me out. Because I've made this argument since Legion.

Kil'jaeden was killed in the Nether, so he's out. But Archimonde was killed on Draenor, the logic behind his "death" is an assumption the area was tainted with enough fel to count. But whose to say it wasn't? If Blizzard say it wasn't enough who could argue? They could EASILY bring Archimonde back to lead the legion to freeing Sargeras again.

  15. Don't forget, Archimonde is still out there somewhere. He didn't die in the Twisting Nether nor did he die on Argus, so it's entirely possible that he comes back or is brought back (along with so many named demons we didn't fully kill in Legion and WoD, like Fel Lord Zakuun) to lead a new iteration of the Legion and possibly break Sargeras out. That would be easy motivation for Illidan to rejoin us and the fight.

  16. Amazing video! Respect to your analysis and to Blizz for not just destroying the Legion and robbing us of these possible developments.

I also really like you pointing out how the demons were a planetary level threat at the time when Sargeras still served the Pantheon and might be a bigger one if free due to all the things they learned.
