  1. I will say, I am not as upset about the “power of Elune” aspect as most people. I think I actually did the opposite of most and always assumed Elune was a very minor power, as a goddess, and that Titans outranked her. That seems to…maybe be the case now? Doesn’t even matter, because if Tyrande was a vessel for Elune this whole time, she should’ve known about The Maw. I don’t know, I’m open to almost any conclusive answer at this point.

  2. The more and more I think about it, the more I think Blizzard needs to explain how Elune mechanically grants the Night Warriors' the power they need. Because if she was seeing everything Tyrande was seeing, then yes she should have known about the maw by now. I can see her not knowing what was wrong at the time of Teldrassil's burning however.
What is clear from this cinematic, however, is that Elune is not omnipotent. She has to be invoked.

  3. The choice of renewal or vengeance is ridiculous. Tyrande already chose vengeance and Elune said nope I’m making the choice here. And now suddenly it’s Tyrande’s choice?! Fuck out of here.

  4. Elune gladly sacrificed her chosen people and let them die… Ohh she put them to sleep but they felt everything . Yeah she's the Goddess i want to follow not.. Her chosen people are naive and Tyrande for accepting the excuse she did it to help save the Shadowlands and who cares what happens to you on Azeroth…

  5. I suspect this storyline has been worked on by a lot of people and at least some of them wish it weren't so. The initial metaphor at the start of your video is probably not ideal right now though.

  6. Argh! So the moment she was going to claim her vengeance, she abandons tyrande, only to later give her the choice of vengeance (the reason why she invoked the night warrior) or renewal (return to normal before becoming the night warrior.
AND SHE CHOOSES RENEWAL?! Oh come on!

  7. Imagine a race that ruled ¾ of the continent of Azeroth for thousands of years, defeated a corrupted matriarch and an army of demons, we're given imortality, and was forced to destroy one of their world tree (Nordrassil), then have to share their lands to outlanders. Has 2 demigod leaders only to be written to forgive someone who killed ½ of their population. Not to mention that the being they serve was debut to have cluelessness. That's what I call a god tier story writing.

  8. No offense but to much people are jumping on the negative news train, yes we all get it. Things are not great to say the least but we are at a point where people are purposely looking for the bad/not optimal things to then make it a bigger problem than it is. I for that matter am going to acknowledge the negative shit, I am not going to deny it but for god's sake don't go with all the other bad news show people and other games are beter bullshit… Other games are something new that's all, most of them are never gonna get even close to wow's quality.
The grass is always greener on the other side… It is like that in gaming as it is in life. There are always going to be things you like and things you don't like. I'm so fucking done with these shortsighted statements and the fact that so much people are joining that bullshit movement. I'm not saying you can't tell them they are doing a bad job but I'm saying not everything is suddenly bad. There is only a handfull of content creators that stay neutral, stay to the facts and I hope most of them will keep doing so… I love your show it's not personal but this is like the over onemillionth video popping up that is so negative that I'm going to throw up.

  9. I wonder if the internal drama going on at Blizz has something to do with this. On top of the lawsuits, they are also definitely going through something. WoD, Legion and BFA had Alex Afrasiabi as a creative director. And I'd say BFA's story was pretty good up until the end of 8.2.5. 8.3 was pretty bad. Now, Shadowlands does not have a credited creative director. In the beginning it was probably Alex Afrasiabi, who was later removed and someone else had to come and pick up the creative direction from there. Steve Danuser is a narrative designer, but even he has to exist within the framework of the game's creative direction and general gameplay direction – as you know, most of the time, story is told with the intention of setting up gameplay. Torghast isn't a part of a long-developed lore. It was invented for the game, and then the lore was developed around its gameplay. I'm not saying that Alex Afrasiabi was amazing and WoW is doomed without him. But I am saying yeeting a project's creative director at the middle into a project's life will cause problems.

  10. Odyn couldn’t peer into the Shadowlands without sacrificing his eye. Perhaps there’s some kind of shield around the Shadowlands that prevents looking in, even by Elune herself. Perhaps an Avatar, like Tyrande, is a true avatar, just a puppet. Elune probably doesn’t know that the flow of souls is broken because all she is doing is controlling Tyrande like a puppet, and doesn’t know what Tyrande knows.
