  1. Well fuck that shit, so now they're retrospectively trying to make Arthas a homewrecker and Tiffin an adulterer? Fuck this shit I'm out. ARTHAS AND VARIAN ARE BROS. YOU DO NOT SLEEP WITH UR BRO'S WIFE WTF. ESP OUT OF NOFUCKINGWHERE.

(I think this is one of the few instances where I'm like "thank FUCK this was written out BY GOD.")

  2. I really like the Anduin storyline this talks about. Would’ve added more depth. Would’ve honestly worked better with the Anduin LK storyline if they wanted to merge the two.

  3. Mendel's Laws of Inheritance makes the hypothesis of Arthas being Anduin's father if Varian had brown hair instead of black. Brown hair is a phenomenological expression of a dominant gene for black hair and a recessive gene for light hair. Tiffen had to have had at least one recessive gene for light hair and then Anduin would have been able to have been born from both of them and have had light hair even though theirs was brown.

  4. if this was there plan all along i not coming back to WOW in any shape or form till they fix all the mistakes in the game they did that frankly i didn't like what so ever, Like not fixing WOD by not adding new raids or dungeons they had planned for it that may have saved it. fixing BFA mess of a story, Which quite frank was the weakest and sloppiest story of all it made WOD look like there nothing wrong it made dragon souls raid look good in my case. if they really want there player base back start listening to us players not shoves to the side to do what you think is good for us when in fact it hurting us. if wow 2 is in the works i hope they dont make the same mistakes again. I hope they make our character more meaningful in the story like i think 50/50 or 30/70 of mmorpgs does. i played a mmorpg that my character was remembered and honored also gave us player choice that could effect the game for that character do i remember what the game called no it been years since i last played it.

  5. Tbh I don't find the sub numbers that surprising, problem with the external metric gatherings is its not get the number of players who just push through to finish the raid and then quit. Which when I played made up most of the people who left (Inc my self) it was "right ill stick about till we finish the raid so I'm not letting people down but just so you know once that last boss is dead I'm out"

  6. Anyone thinking the sub numbers are above 400k is huffing unadulterated pure copium. I'm absolutely convinced its below that threshold – one look at most servers is enough of an indicator that there's basically no one left except copium andies and boosters. So yeah, while the leak itself may not be fully legit, I think its fairly spot on about what's going on. Just too much lines up with what we're seeing to discount it as "its fake, can't rely on it."

10.0 will probably see a small increase, but it'll also fail hard due to existing problems. This game is already dead – Blizzard just don't know it yet, or know and are in denial.

  7. I think you need to look at other boards if you only find dicks.

That said, it certainly sound plausible as a dropped content kind of leak. Especially the Jailer one if you look back to the very first Shadowlands trailer where the Jailer is shadowed and have a completely different visual shape.

  8. One thing that's never sat right with me is Bolvar. They can't have all of this talk about who deserves to be redeemed and who doesn't, and not even address all of the evil shit Bolvar did while wearing the helm of domination. When Death Knights meet up with him in Legion, he is not a good guy. To the point he flat out is antagonistic towards us when we first visit him in ICC. When we do finally start working with him, he gets us to do some really morally reprehensible things like siphon the soul of Jaina's father and try to steal Tirion's body. Speaking of siphoning those souls, he thinks its a good idea to imbue his new Horsemen with essence from Warcraft villains. That sounds like a perfect plan that isn't evil in any way. In We Ride On, The Four Horsemen were even considering having to put him down if he won the fight against Sylvanas.

If Sylvanas having a split soul and being raised as a Banshee isn't an excuse for her actions, than being the Lich King isn't either. He chose to be the Lich King. He had to have known he wasn't going to be running a charity for homeless unicorns & puppies with leprosy. Yet now he's treated like grand hero of this expansion even though before Sylvanas whooped his ass his own men were about to END HIM out of necessity. The same way the Horde marched on Sylvanas to try and take her out as Warchief.

  9. If this leak is real, we can only mourn what might have been. I can readily imagine that all the content we have seen was written in 6 months after the good ideas were all flushed down the toilet – I have spent most of this expansion complaining that I could write better plot and better dialogue than any of this on an average Tuesday.
I guess all I can hope is that if and when the Microsoft takeover happens, the WoW dev team can get back to making things that players want to play rather than having something to show the executives at the next progress meeting.
I would caution any executive who thinks that just jumping to the next expansion is a good idea, because the launch numbers of games sequels (much like the opening days box office for movie sequels) is largely based on how good the last one was. Right now, Blizzard is looking at a flop for 10.0, no matter how good it is or how good the marketing is… and that may be it. It’s sad, because if this leak is real they had the writing and the content set up to make Shadowlands special and they pissed it away.

  10. Here's my take on Shadowlands' "lore": the tv show "Community" is one of my favorite pieces of entertainment, but the third season (or series, for non-American English speakers) is pretty bad; the creator and show-runner was replaced by the studio and someone who didn't understand the soul of the show tried to replicate its value using a paint-by-numbers approach. The next season the creator was hired back and in the first five minutes of the first episode the characters openly talk about how there was a gas leak that made them hallucinate during the previous year, effectively decanonizing everything from that season without bothering to retcon anything on a piece by piece basis.

Shadowlands should be given the gas leak treatment and just ignored whole cloth. It's a bad story poorly told, just throw it in the river and pick back up with plot and characters that people don't actively loathe.

  11. Oribos JUST being a transfer hub would make so much sense. I always thought it was weird that we had a literal teleporter TO the transfer hub area. "City" Oribos and "Transfer Hub" Oribos are kind of totally separated from each other.

  12. tbh, i'm sick off all of the "what went wrong" videos.. I mean these videos are more entertaining than the game itself.. I wish videos were "look how cool this game is" but life isn't what you want it to be..

  13. The only thing that makes these leaks and stories not believable is that the original story was always better and cooler in them. What is the chance that every single time they change the story, it's for the worse? Who would go around, see a cool shit, and go: "No, this is to good. It must be worsened!" Why we never have a leak of the original story being even more garbage and then it got saved by being cut at the last moment?
Yeah, I am totally certain they are worsening the story knowingly and on purpose. But they have been doing this for a long time. So why even having better original ideas in the first place?

  14. I had the feeling that they had given up too soon on shadow land.
Now I am told they might have shrunk the game way down before it even was out. Never to work on that cut content again.
We pay for the game and then the subscription and then the microtransaction and they can't even support the game.
Feels like they give up, don't even do what I consider the minimum in order to focus on the next one.
What's the point if you are only going to give up on the next one too.
WoD, BfA and ShadowLand all feel that way.
I also recall how they gave up on Diablo 3 expac plans because they cocked the release.

  15. It's a bit of a blessing, that i never really cared about the overall lore (background flavor was enough for me). Not that i don't appreciate a good story (FFXIV is amazing), but i play wow for gameplay reasons. I do hope they get their shit together, i appreciate the passion, so much of the community has for these characters and the world

  16. 42:55 Remember when the Warcraft movie was coming out and the marketing team started making these weird looking urban posters with orcs on them and taglines like "Look out, orc with aggro" or something like that? Yeah, that one is still one of the worst ones they've done.

  17. If they went the route of Arthas being Anduins real father they could have done a KICK ASS scene at the end of the Anduin fight where Arthas appears after Anduin is freed from Domination and Anduin looks up at him and says "Father, is it over?" With Arthas replying "At long last. No King rules forever." And fades off into oblivion.

Cheesy as fuck but it would've been better than the shit we got with Sylvanas

  18. severly underestimating what it takes to art direct and coordinate an outsourcing studio. still prob cheaper, but it's not as easy as "you go do it" and you're just done, especially on larger productions

  19. 9.2. isn't even a good patch, it's just slightly better than the turd that was 9.1, at best it's as gooda s 8.3. And with Blizzard adding a Season 4 to Shadowlands you can guess how long they're going to stretch this patch out. Only the most addicted addicts will stay subbed for 10+ months of this garbage.

  20. Anduin being Arthas's son would of set up a ton of plot points and political intrigue. Who was the mother? Jaina? So Anduin is actually Heir to Lorderon and Kul'Tiras and Stormwind now has a succession crisis? Would make offing Calia off screen make more sense.

  21. Well I personally put zero into leaks and the "grape vine". I will always judge what they decided to give us. They don't get brownie points for why they screwed up. They get points for actions, ownership, and the state of the current game. (which is not good)
Unfortunaly, if this is true. The original version had a much better story setup… Your correct, that "original" draft had motivations and plot points that do make since through out the Expansion. Instead of the flaming garbage bin we just spent two years in.

  22. Regarding the Anduinn hair thing, I've taken biology qiite a few years back but isn't brown/black hair a dominant gene? Meaning for Anduinn to have blonde hair both his parents would have to be blonde? I might be misremembering so pls correct me if so.
