  1. If beings go back to their realm upon death, then would not the souls of Azeroth return unto her realm? Is not our realm that of the "Azeroth" known universe? Are we not supposed to "refuel" this world/realm and be reborn or reoriginated? Why else would the Shadowlands factions work in congress to return clean souls back to Azeroth (or even other planets).

  2. I feel like this is a stupid question to ask, but do void beings (or maybe the void as a whole) need to feed? I honestly don't know too much about all of this but I'm either at it being they feed because they really can't fill themselves up or they just don't.. I'm leaning on the don't part because void really is nothing no? Well, unless there is a reason why but that sorta says there's a reason.

I sorta see this as my fear of the dark, there can never be nothing ya'know? My mind tells me there is lol but I think it's a innate kind of thing.

Idk, keep of the good work yo!

  3. What I am interested in is, if Zooval was on the team of Eternal ones then that means he was in charge of one zone which we didn't see yet? (Before he became Jailer of The Maw)

  4. I believe once the Jailer was the true watcher of the dead and the Maw once was a paradise and eternal realm for all souls. But then someone put a sort of stent, a bypass…Oribos…onto the natural flow and redirected the flow. Why we dont know really. The eternal ones say it was to punish Zovaal but we only have their word for it, there are no neutral witnesses we can ask what truly happened.

  5. I would guess that The Maw used to be something else and that's where the souls would originally go. Possibly All the other zones are "new" to the system. The were as the jailer wasn't originally a jailer until something went awry.

  6. I mention xavius awhile back on a video – about him being a demon now so he should go to the twisting nether which is why I don’t believe he shit down the arbiter – but also doesn’t illusion go to the twisting nether – isn’t that how his soul got back in his body ?

If yes than I’d say the same rule should apply to X even more so as he is fully corrupted with “fel” – but I also thing nightmare magic is a poems of fel and life.

  7. Remember the cosmological chart? Remember that that is from the point of view from the titan's servants. It is their understanding of how things work. They are the young forces that looked over Azeroth. They weren't told the ancient truths. So we can speculate the titans know more then they taught their servants.

We can assume that chart is incomplete. We know the titans are one of the first beings (according to their own lore cultivation) but shadowlands demonstrates their were beings before them as the first ones.

My theory is the shadowlands may have been ordered by the titans. If we see the type of spells in shadowlands it's. Nature, arcane, and shadow. The venthyr are able to wield the light via mirrors as something like lazers. We even see some elementals in the afterlife born from scorching the land. The forces have affected this realm.

The shadowlands is set up as a machine to take advantage of anima. Perhaps that wasn't the first order. Souls are used for their power. Revendreth takes the most anima from its souls. The world is fueled by sins and war. The world of warcraft being fueled by war, perhaps means gods would favor war for power. Commanding souls to fight each other for when they die they sweep and get the anima. We know Elune is a goddess of war, the Tauren though describe her as one of the eyes of the earthmother, Azeroth. Perhaps she was a first one. Perhaps she helped establish this system along with the forces of life. As elune seems to visit more then one world. An'she is her brother the other eye and represents the sun. Perhaps Azeroth is blind without her eyes. Maybe she was stripeed of them to help subdue her.

We know that Xalatath called Elune an upstart goddess and former kin. We know the titans experimented on loa to try to make void gods. Perhaps Elune was a first one of another order first? And she tried to guide Azeroth as an advisor (thus the eye tittle). Establishing the heirarchy of gods and super beings may be helpful here. I believe the Jailer may have tried to do something we would call good. But it went against the machine. Perhaps he was misguided in methodology, but his endgame may have been noble. (If you sort of look at the hidden mythology behind games like final fantasy 15, Ifrit was a villain but his secret lore was that he was a good god that defended mankind and got corrrupted in the end trying to save mankind). I believe we are in for a great grey story, and it will establish other worlds, opening us to possibly more timelines/ other realms by the end of the expansion. And reinvent what it means to die, (the shadowlands will break and a new system will need to be ordered).

  8. About the Arbiter not sending souls to the Maw.
If you check the cinematic where Arbiter is hit by the red thingy, you see four dense channels of Anima to the current 4 big zones, and some random souls to other planes. But you also see a stream of souls going straight down which, based on how we enter The Maw by jumping down into the stream of Souls through Oribos, I assume are those heading for The Maw. How much of that is artistic I don't know, but it is more than just the occasional soul that's going down there.

  9. I would like to throw this out there: Go watch the cinematic for Warlords of Draenor.
Look at the cup that is used for the demon blood.
Does the markings look similar to something we know?

  10. Is there the possibility that there is an actual Aspect of Death? A true Death Deity like Thanatos or Hades not simple Eternal ones like Denathrius and The Jailer. And if so who is its Life Countrrpart?

For many expansions we had the Light vs Shadow war, maybe its time we shift to the other Battlegrounds?

  11. The Na'ru said herself she's been corrupted by the presence of the thing in the maw, the void is one of the only thing that can corrupt a Na'ru. T
he jailer (huge void in the chest), the rune carver (memory erased). Who need that much soul, what it is feeding or empowering. What has an infinite appetite ?

  12. What if ultimate death wasn’t but just a further transition like you said with the void but for all forces you die in SL go to void die in void go to order die in order go to light then life maybe a different order but maybe the souls are indestructible and just continue on

  13. Interesting theory, but I don't agree with any of it at all.

The biggest problem with a lot of these theories, is that people tend to apply the literal definition of a word to support their theories, without considering that this is a fantasy video game after all. The Void in WoW isn't "emptiness" or "nothingness". We know from the lore that's been in the game for years, that the Void is comprised of creatures (Old Gods, Void Lords, etc), and seeks to consume everything into its madness. The fact those beings exist, proves that things just do cease to exist under the Void. So I highly doubt that the original fate of all mortal souls, is to languish in torment and insanity after they die. I believe the Shadowlands has always been the place where mortal souls are meant to go, but that the Arbiter and 'The Purpose' are unnatural to it's original function.
