Blizzard has admitted in the past that dispel affixes such as Afflicted are problematic in World of Warcraft. And yet again we see exactly the same idea for an affix in Season 1 of The War Within. It’s even worse that there is an option to heal through it now although the absorb shield amount is insane. However, since the option is there, it’s now not a dispel affix but rather a healer problem. No lessons learned from Afflicted!?

The only time I don't mind it, is when 3 out of 5 or more can dispel themselves and they actually do. When that doesn't happen, oh it's a pain in the arse when you are in higher keys. Hell even in lower keys if you are just starting out, your healing isn't strong enough to deal with it quick. The affix itself isn't horrible, it is when you have everything else going on and this thing pops up and of course in a pug not everyone knows or cares to dispel themselves.
No way this is worse than bolstering or sanguine, wild take
3rd boss in COT + this affix . And nobody use healing potion or cleanse …
As main dps shaman I always have Poison totem on that week. It is mandatory to use utility on keys otherwise the healer/tank are always to blame
this affix is an absolute nightmare, i tend to skip even trying higher keys if this is active… nobody helps you as the healer, the other affix are simple in comparison you all collect some orbs or kill an already 1hp npc ASAP? wow so hard, but then the healer alone gets the worst affix that nobody ever helps with you are just expected to heal through massive heal absorbs ON TOP of the regulkar dungeon mechanics that always comes at the worst times when massive aoe is already coming out…. the problem is people see this as a 'healing affix' ans not a group problem everyone should contribute to…, oh look heres the healing absorb, healers got this..
The only problem with this affix is that if someone dies, the buff goes straight to the enemies. Other than that the affix is probably the easiest out of all. Almost every spec has some way to deal with it, and even then the healing in a fight is often enough to dispel the debuff. The problem with Afflicted was that it required you to first find the mob, then try to select it, then press your dispel. This doesn't work well with macros, doesn't work with clique/cell, and is just atrocious to deal with.
