Threads of Fate – How to level alts in Shadowlands the RIGHT way

Read more about Shadowlands ➜ https://worldofwarcraft.mgn.tv

The Threads of Fate is a new way to level alts in Shadowlands expansion. It’s a system inspired by Diablo 3 Adventures, and it has a lot of potential but currently – sadly – is lacking, mostly in XP gains when compared to the normal Shadowlands Campaign progression.

In this video I’ll give the new players a brief overview of the system, what it’s meant to be, and what it really is. I sincerely hope that Blizzard buffs the XP awarded for Bonus Objectives and the World Quests in The Threads of Fate, as otherwise there will be only way to do it “right”.

  1. did not like the thread… why?
Because bonus quest took very long, i was just killing and killing and killing mobs forever and only got pro mob 1% to 3% progress to the quest. It felt to me like i need to kill 100 mobs each time and when done i need to move far away to find the next zone to lvl. They need to buff the xp and maybe add more of them closer or so. LIke it is now i just simply can not see myself doing them. I am not a M. Lvling now my 4th character the normal way up.

  2. They need to boost the XP gained by A LOT in Threads of Fate. We already did the leveling once, took me 10 hours. I don't need that experience again on every.single.alt.

  3. Thank you for the video. Yes i started leveling my first alt a shaman and i went threads of fate to chose a covenant and immediately went resto and queued for instances. I went to each zone to get the fill up bar quest (because it fills up in intances) and i will just do dungeons and bgs now. I will do it differently for my next alt though becausenit will eithed be a warlock or a warrior (and don't want to tank with my warr), i will go normal story and do it until lvl 58 or something and then i will go threads of fate for the last 2 levels or something.

    Cheers.

  4. Decided to take my time getting to the new zones. Worked on housekeeping stuff, getting everyone ready during the week. Glad I did because my experience has been good so far.

S Priest (totally loving it) – Bastion was wonderful, halfway thru Maldraxxus and I'm like………

Not sure if I'll use ToF to level or just go thru everything all over again.

  5. Love the channel, love the content, love the attitude. Your information you present is well thought out and valuable. Thank you.

I stopped raiding in Legion and have no regrets. Casual from here on out I'm pretty sure. Been playing since Vanilla and have generally enjoyed each expansion. Now I'm just into transmog, collecting and achievements.

  6. I think the idea was that bonus objectives would also reward a good piece of gear to justify the time, but it feels like crap spending 3x the effort on an objective to get less xp than a normal quest

  7. I made 2 of my alts use ToF and it is just too slow and i dont feel as motivated to continue leveling those 2. I played the story twice now and I rather the guided story quests than ToF at this time.

  8. Threads of fate feels like mud… I Hope they give us a way to return in campain mode!
Now I'm stuck with a character I was not planning on doing dongeons with, not ready to PvP either.
I wanted freedom and all I see before me are walls, this is the Jailor's content for sure.

  9. I went into ToF hoping that I'd be able to level my alt class (Madraxxus Warlock) while getting renown and farming end game currencies like Anima and rep, but that's just not the case – hardly getting anything and it just seems like too much faff. My next alts will be story alts. Imagine it's much quicker speeding through the main quests than my initial run taking everything in!

  10. Until things change, level through quest campaign but remember to head back and switch to ToF just before dinging 60 so you aren’t forced to finish off Revendreth. Best of both worlds currently.

  11. I did one bonus objective, it took ages and hardly moved my bar. That was the last I did, went into dungeons straight away. Fully agree. That felt terrible until I went dungeons. Thank god I was priest and able to get into queues fast.
