That's not lag, it's just a limit on how many achievements can be displayed on screen at once. It happens every time you get gold on first try because you get 3 achievements. You just look at the splash screen telling you the results to know what you got instantly.
The same thing happens any time you earn more than 2 achievements at the same time.
