Top 10 Plot Holes in WoW That Have Not Been Addressed Just Yet

Read more about World of Warcraft ➜ https://worldofwarcraft.mgn.gg

Throughout the course of WoW’s storytelling many plots have come and gone. Some have just been outright forgotten and unfinished by Blizzard, creating a plot hole. A plot hole in traditional storytelling is when you break the rules you have set for your world with something that doesn’t make sense with what you’ve set or just is a large inconsistency that leaves the stories around it unresolved. In this video we’re going to go over the top 10 plot holes to exist in WoW’s story, even though there are tons of them, as anything with a near 2 decade existence is bound to have mistakes.

  1. Imagine they would add something like you being able to sail on all the ships that are standing around the world, and have something like the sea battles in ac black flagg

  2. Zoval = who the @#$% is this non-serious new guy with the abs and the diamond-chiseling nipples piercing my retinas.??

    and …….. he's gone.

hell, the only time I ever saw him was in cutscenes anyways.. *shrug

  3. 1) Xavius didn't teamed up with the legion, he served the emerald nightmare AKA the old gods. KJ didn't know his allegiance with the old gods so when he asked for his service he in truth served the old gods

    2) We used to do a weekly to collect Pristine Argunite as fuel for Vindicaar. And It pretty much used all of it's power in Antorus. While we were clearing the bosses, The Army of the Light was destroying Legion's citadel and making hole for us.

    3) DK's getting away with crimes? Reanimating Nazgrim who betrayed the horde player? Or Thoras Trollbane who was lost in the ages. No one really bothered with them. Not to mention Whitemane.

    4) Maw is inescapable was spammed by the Kyrian and other Covenant members but it was never truly established.

    5) Kurog released Raz so it means primalists are pretty much active way before Dragon Isles opened. Also most of them are former Twilight Hammer so it's not far fetched if Smoldy joined their cause or planned something with them.

    6) I don't get how Everbloom part is "plot hole"

    7) Entire N'Zoth shenanigans are still a mystery. So it's not a plot hole that he let the blade taken by the horde. More likely unsolved mysteries

    8) Sylvanas pretty much cleared up all the scourges. That was Bolvar's plan, he thought Sylvanas want the helm to control the scourge so he gathered them all in ICC. Before confronting Sylvanas himself, he let the scourges die by her hand. Even if those are not entirely wiped out, we helped them further with the culling during SL prepatch

    9) We still don't know who are the First ones, What other Zereth serves. Our entire POV have been changed about Cosmic beings so we can't come into any conclusion about Jailer or any cosmic force. Again, these are more likely unsolved mysteries than Plot holes.

  4. The one that always gets me was in WoD after blizzard had confirmed the burning legion transcends timelines which basically ment that mannaroth followed through with the same exact plan as last time (except the horde on alternate draenor had not started attacking draenei yet) offered them demon blood and then was killed by the same orc that killed him last time.

  5. The entire game is a f*cking plot hole. I've never seen such raw potential so ass-f*cked into juvenile redundancy. I could hand a crayon to a chimpanzee and it would write a more impactful story than any of the slop that Blizzard has delivered in the past 9 years. The writing and storytelling they put forth might honestly be insulting to their players, if only they weren't so naive.

  6. Shadowlands in the whole expansion has a lot of plot holes I feel. The Jailer himself being the big bad evil that caused almost the issues in the previous expansions, Sylvanas acting so stupid being fooled by the Jailer where in previous expansions she is very intelligent, Elune being a terrible Goddess making her favorite people fall asleep while they are being burned alive instead of saving them.

  7. you missed the biggest one of all… how sargeras lost to "friendship beam" and got trapped by the titans when he originally killed them canonically in seconds mere moments after becoming fel corrupted and how he's considered the bad guy despite sitting outside azeroth watching over her not wanting her to be corrupted instead of just killing her for an untold amount of time of which was at least 10,000 years.

  8. Kinda retcon-ish explanation to 7, but it is mentioned that Old Gods lost the favor of Nerubians and that by the time Ner’zhul came to Icecrown, they were the stuff of long forgotten legends. Could be that high priests of Nerubians intentionally erased that part of history for Nerubs and pointed their civilization towards other way in some way influenced by some agent of Death. Which would explain Maldraxxus-Azjol Nerub-Scourge influence…
On off note WoW lore team owes me a beer for making gymnastics to explain this one…
On explaining how and why it came to this without Nerubians having anything to show for it, would require even next level shit that might prompt even a crackpot. Like what?Mueh’zala(no relation), Dreadlords (no, just no) Primus (why- case study?)Still trying to find a way an agent of Maldraxxus would influence whole civilization to steer from old course. I mean after the defeat, the war doctrine of Nerubians vastly changed from being swarm fodder to stealthy, calculating, covert war doctrine, but how?

  9. Did they ever solve the Undead Paladin from the Argent Dawn's quest to regain his mortality? When was that last brought up, WoD? That was interesting but they have basically forgotten him I think.

  10. Another L for Shadowlands, where did Big Daddy Denathrius go? Mal’Ganis and Kintessa broke him out of Naaru timeout and now he’s just gone.

Could be as simple as Blizz not expecting him to be so popular, so they undid his ultimate fate, but shouldn’t the Venthyr be kinda concerned he’s AWOL?

  11. Eh some of these are a stretch to call plot holes.
    10 and 9: fair
8: it’s really just genre of game getting in the way of story. The “hero” has to win in some way
7: you pretty much explained it but the other angle is because it looked cool
6: not a plot hole as of yet. It’s set up for later down the line
5: the only legit plot hole. Like wtf happened?
4: it’s a “goes without saying” just assume it got destroyed at the end. A much better one would be some of the creatures escaping into Kalimdor at the end of the quest Maghar quest line
    3. Same as 4. Just assume some void fanatic took it.
    2. This is not a plot hole, the helm got destroyed and changed at the end of shadowlands. And with Zovaal gone, the need for a lich king is also gone
    1. It’s set up for later.

  12. I know, WoW has always had "ironically foreshadowing names", like Greymane's name, before he even turned into a Worgen. But when the game progressively becomes more "serious" and you name your Fire Lord "Smolderon"… I mean, come on… Why not Lord Burnalot?

  13. The Jailer one was the thing that broke me x.x SL, for me, was already a really bad expansion and just got depressed playing it (having to quit the game entirely on the second patch), but still tried to keep up with the lore and… the Jailer… Is a massive let down. He’s suppose to be one that orchestrated everything? I am having a REALLY hard time believing that. He’s an idiot. He left the Waystone There unguarded, he let us go when he controlled us, he let SYLVANAS live, the one that KNOWS his plans, and worst of all, he didn’t inform us jack until we took him down in the expansion. Like… He’s one of the worst big villains I’ve ever seen. He also tainted everything WC3 related since, apparently, all connected to him that, apparently, there’s something even worse what is to come (even though, nothing really happened since we were on break for five years and been riding dragons)

Getting back to the info, you mean to tell me that he knows what happened with Arthas and Sylvanas who we were, but he never even talked to us? Like, he can squash us like a bug in the beginning, but imagine him talking and informing you what’s really going on despite the horror we’re seeing? Why did he do all of this in the first place? Questioning our motives for immediately allying with the others. He could of been a manipulator himself, but he was none of that (outside from Sylvanas, which isn’t saying much).

  14. Big debate in my friend group:

If the scourge ( which are actualy immortal since you as a playable DK unholy can resurrect army of the dead and in the WOTLK wrath gate cinematic arthas literally resurrected his entier army ) how did sylvanas beat bolvar so easy? i know she is powerfull indeed but cmoon. you can be THIS much powerfull ,if you face and literally ENDLESS army + the valkeyr are under the LK control so his bargen with agatha is next to 0. Repeat. ENDLESS army that can not die he can literally switch stances ( unholy raise 100k soldiers, frost, remorseless winter ,blood full tank) there is no way in hell you can beat that.

not to mention the whole legion exp. You as a player wield weapons that can bend reality and literally destroy de planet. ( scepter of sargeras, skull of manari and xalatah). how can you not 1 shot any non god level enemy?

  15. I have an idea for maw waystone, "the dead cant never leave the maw" and our characters arent truly dead, we havent died and nobody sent us there, we went to the maw on our own, very much alive
