  1. Price changes happen. I have 3 accounts with one bnet account. I bought 3 celestial steeds at $25 each before it was made bnet wide instead of account wide. Was I given a $50 refund or even like 3 months game time to compensate? No. Blizzard laughed with my money to the bank. That's like when when some super hard or irritating achievements were required for a meta. Blizzard isn't beyond removing those achievements from being required to complete the meta later. It's unlikely they'd be beyond changing prices as much as players may complain they shouldn't because it's not fair. Try doing the winter veil achievements for pvp as a feral druid. I did them years ago and suffered through it to get the violet proto drake. Talk about feeling useless until you die and can actually do something again.

  2. or maybe if they are going on the path they are with new items, could they not give us another vendor with past items in it so there is no FOMO which is what i have at the moment as i collect mounts i missed 2 when i didn't play for 2 month whilst i was playing other games, even though i have nearly 4k tender sat waiting for them to re-appear.

  3. Blizzard communication can help some of these situations too. Letting us know when high priced / highly desirable items will be coming a few months in advance allows us to decide on those impulse purchases and plan out our tender usage. Similar to how they let us know about the class sets and weapons in advance. That was very helpful and informed my purchasing.

  4. As a data person I love the spreadsheet. TY for compiling this and making it available 🙂 I do feel like the "I see it but wait until it is on sale motive is already there for things that appear in the in game shop to be on the TP later

  5. I would really just prefer no Tender cap. If we do the objective, we get the Tender. We could still get the month item at 1k, but continue to gain Tender for playing all month… I thought that was the whole point, to make us want to play all month.

  6. If they did decide that certain original prices were out-of-line with updated pricing standards when they want to bring something back as a repeat, they could consider rebates for people that already got it previously in order to prevent that wait-for-sale mentality from taking over. (Like it already does for many shop items.) It does seem likely that they’ve probably learned more about what pricing models work better for certain types of items and hopefully will be more consistent in the future with the information gathered over the first year. On the other hand maybe rebates don’t matter since those of us who’ve engaged with it since the beginning have a head start anyway.

  7. Also as a note Buggsy is listed in the Wowhead article and spreadsheet as 350. Live in the trading post he's only 250 just like Nelle 🙂 Looks like they agreed with you and also felt it was weird they were different prices.

  8. Welcome to the new payment model. I promise you won’t be long before a WoW has a similar payment system to fortnight. And honestly, it’s probably not a bad thing. They’ll probably make a fortune and players will probably be happy with cosmetics.

  9. I don't think they need to change the trading post that much so long as they keep the number of items each month in the 20ish range. This month has 31 items of which 6 are returns and 2 are promotion items. I think if they should keep it at less than that each month. Like I said, around 20ish items.

For new players I think it would be fine to give them extra for their first use of the trading post. I don't think it's important to do any type of catch up. As you've said its not supposed to be about buying everything but instead about buying the things you want most from the post.

It's been a nice addition and while there's been a few months were I did wish I had just a bit more to buy some things that I wanted in the end I think it's fine that I have to watch for some things to come back around.

  10. Love this system! its pretty much free stuff to get excited about with minimal effort.

I'm sure they will have to tweak it as the list of items grows but overall gj blizz

  11. What do you mean we got plenty tender? That's bullshit. I have 1425 tender right now and in January I didn't buy anything really big at all. They need to randomly give us a quest that would give us a few thousand tender and I do think it should be for everybody, not just new players

  12. There should be a book next to the trading post with a complete list of every item ever put up on the TP, you can spend either an extra amount of trendies (20%) or gold (10x Tendies cost) on top of the base Tendies cost to special order these older items. It would be nice for people to have a way to pick up things like the Class sets if they weren't playing the specific month they were available.

  13. its awesome that they are adding to the trading post, its a 100% W idea, but if there is more to buy, it seems only natural that they would add more tenders

super easy solution is make it 1500 tenders a month instead of 1000, its a small fix, but its a step in the right direction for collectors
