Un'Goro Crater – Music & Ambience | World of Warcraft Cataclysm

When the Cataclysm struck Azeroth, it disrupted the cloaking mechanism that kept a similar building as the Shaper’s Terrace hidden.
The titans did not foresee the scenario that a member of an intelligent races discovered them there. So, they are required to perform some new tests. Marshal’s Refuge was also attacked by Stone Guardians, forcing the troupe to flee and find another shelter with a small number of casualties. Williden Marshal and his team built a new camp for them, Marshal’s Stand, which had some improvements when compared to their old refuge, indicating that they managed to adapt themselves to live at Un’Goro Crater.
The area between the Lakkari Tar Pits and the Marshlands also changed, blooming with hundreds of flowers as a result of the bloodpetals. The blooming grew to such an extent that it began to throw off the natural balance in the area.

  1. Maybe some of you visited recently Un'Goro in Retail for the Un'Goro Madness event. I did, but I was unable to kill any elites because there wasn't anyone there. Anyway, it was nice to see Un'Goro untouched by Cataclysm but to discover the story from Classic progress. The finale wasn't great though.

A note regarding the music in the video: I am sorry if I dared too much, but I've included the Ulduar / Halls of Lighting tracks which are played only in 2 small places, in the Titan facilities called The Shaper's Terrace. I look forward to hearing from you on this topic.

  2. Despite zones like Ungoro, feralas or even old teldrassil being old and by all means quite flat, they feel (to me at least) so much more like a lush, hostile jungles than any of the new zones they have added to the game. Despite valsharah or Amirdrassil being more claustrophobic and filled with vegetation and foliage, they don't really feel like jungle that much. In the case of feralas for instance, all you see is forest, you try to find anything between the trees but theres just more forest. The fog, the flat ground and intelligent placement of the few trees there are makes the zone feel way bigger than it in actuallity is. The ambient sounds also make it sound quite outlandish and alive.

Guess it's mainly because in the old world, to get from point of interest to another point of interest (quest hub, temple, camp or any other bigger structure or change in micro biom) it felt like you had to get through the miles of this lush jungle instead of walking 2 meters to the next "attraction".
