Disagree, I play WoW 10hours a day give or take, my buddy who plays 1 hour every 2 days, id rather him still get a good vault every week so I can still run low mythics with him. I did the zekvir with him two weeks before they changed it, we can realistically only get 2-4 delve runs in a week.
The only people using zekvir for vault were those of us who didnt need champ gear anymore. Who is it hurting exactly,? We were still running bountifuls on our alts.
The old way, i spent MORE time engaging with delves. This isnt making me do 8 t8s now. Im just not touching delves at all on my main. I have my void dirigible, and its not worth the time to run 8 bountifuls for the small chance that I'll get the one champion ring replaced by my delve vault, when i have 4 or more myth track vault slots open.
When I could bang out 8 zekvirs in 20 minutes it gave me contingency. Now, its worthless. Ill do the ciuple stories i need on t1 for the glory and not touch delves again until s2.
The point is to have engaging content. Not farm gear. Gear and extrinsic reward is not the goal. Enjoyment is. If it's all about gear for you, go sweat. I like the feeling of having something meaningful to do in increments throughout the week. I hate "do everything at once" content. It sucks. This isn't punishing anyone. Either you're beyond it, and it doesn't matter, or you're not, which immediately implies you're more casual, so you have better content than farming one boss.
There should be a pvp space in the vault. Most if not all pvper’s do the raid get it done and use the coins anyway now. You can’t get good pvp gear from the vault so it’s useless for gear

Doing 8 delves isn't effort, time doesn't equate effort. It's boring and fine consuming doing sleeper content that hasbeen fully developed.
Depends on the delve but i can usually run a tier 8 in 10-12 minutes. So now it is an hour over a half.
