There's a lot of visual clutter in wow. 50+ abilities on bars. Huge bags that take 1/2 of my screen. Mounts also take most of the screen if you're slightly zoomed in. And lots of trivial quests everywhere on my map that I'll never do. Would be nice to hide side quests

I have never played WoW, but im guessing it's to ensure the player has no status effects applied to them when combat is done.
