Well said. It came up during a visit with my eye doctor. I told him I played wow and he said……”I loved that game, I can’t play anymore, I don’t have the time”. 😂😂😂
Im 32, when I was in middle/highschool i hid that i played wow. Then junior year i realized that other peoples opinions matter a sum total of 0% for the most part. Dont let others decide what you like.
I’m 50 years old, working 16 hour days in IT during my younger years and now in healthcare. Working in healthcare puts a very heavy toll on your mental state of mind. Gambled a lot in the casino. WOW helps me destress effectively and since then kept me away from casinos, drugs and too much alcohol.
It may be the same as watching a ball game, but i find i very dissimilar to creating or building something tangible. Should u be embarrassed? nah, but i couldnt compare it to creating art or repairing a real world useful item.
The game is fine. I just personally lost interest in the grind. It's not like it used to be where items meant something. Now I play old source games like DoD:S
Mate its not different to working on your car? What skills from wow help you in the real world? If you can fix and maintain your car and build a car you drive on the track or road thats a 10000% different to sitting on your ass, ranting about pixels, playing with < 20 y old kids. Dafuq you on about
It's not the same thing. The social part, yes. But the necessities to invest something to make it is the main different things. Studies are also complete valid in that point. But you have to exit the system to get it. Good luck and try it. Worth it.
But stop lying to yourself telling it's the same. The sheer amount of times you played much more than expected is also one of the biggest problems of gaming.
Yes, everyone have to adapt to it. The civilisation for accepting it more but the gaming community in seeing that problems to.
There were a study in Germany showing, that more than 40% of the times when men are sick and cannot work was because of gaming.
Preach it brother! I have the exact same opinion on the matter. I'm a proud nerd
Awesome !!!

I've done the adult things. Im doing them every damn day. That's why I'm playing WoW.
Yep
Gaming got me away from drinking my money away in bars. I’m so glad to be free of that life.
I worked a twelve hour shift and I cleaned my house and I showered today. I will enjoy the wow I want to.
Whenever someone says i play video games so much then go on about a 4 season show they binged in a week all with hour long episodes I laugh.
Ima save this as reference

Facts
I have been playing since 2007 and everyone knows
I'm the man who see his friend looking a hot girl in the bar and tell him: Hey, you just play Tank… I'm your healer
Theres no other game like wow!
Same here. It’s more fun and it’s cheaper to sit at home and play WoW than it is to take up hobbies like Fishing, Hunting, cars, bar hopping, etc.

What I've come to realize is that with my age and time. Classic has been far more satisfying.
Only boys care what men do with their time 😂
Society needs to adjust. It’s slowly getting there. Whether I’m proud or not, it’ll never come up at work.
