I'm convinced if they released a whole expansion all at once, all raids zones etc… that some of these players would absolutely zurg all the content in a week then complain of boredom. Blizz has my support in slower launch windows.
I just don't see the point of time gating. Why can't we let people who want to grind it out, have that option while the casuals enjoy the slow burn and catch up when they want? Instead of time gating, just bring back attunements and make them engaging, fullfilling, and gives players the ability to choose whether they want to be a raider or not. Why continue to always punish one side or the other instead of just giving the player the option?
Exactly, i can only play 2hours a day, tryin to enjoy everything, questlines, some leveling, lamdscapes, NPCs. Just play if as you wish to play it. No need to have hurry all day.
The “it’s a race” mentality started when Mythic dungeons appeared; that was in Legion. Prior to Legion, WoW has always been about story development, which is much slower paced.
no one acts like the game is a race, the only people who think WoW is a race are the people who are racing to clear the raid first on mythic. 99.9 of players dont even know the RWF exists. casuals are the biggest problem in WoW right now.
It's not time gating that's gonna fix the biggest issue. Raid leaders will ask full clear exp on week 2(/1 for alts) Which will split casuals from hardcore players anyway.
I hate the pacing, but i also know that this is much healthier for the game, id already be playing something else because id be bored of/ burned out of wow by now
It may be boring but I much prefer to take my time (maybe because between work and private life I can't play much), do quests, enjoy the lore and explore step by step.
I was very lucky in a way, I hurt my back at work the day the expansion came out on early access so thought fk it, im gonna get the early access and chill for a solid 2 weeks and just smash it out
I dont believe they are doing it for your own good. They are doing it because they can stretch subs a bit further that way. People buy expansion and game time and eventually only release raid/m+ a month after so they can collect another months sub. It doesn't seem much but it is if you multiply it by the amount of players playing. Same deal with the campaign, time gated so people Stay subbed.
I agree. I play little, but I have now 600 ilvl rogue, 595 preservation and 590 guardian druid. If the pace was the same as before, I would be a 590 rogue with zero alts.
I’ve made 3600 and I don’t even get the point of M+ in this expansion you can just do delves for 100% chances at gear and 616 vault or grind the same 20min dungeon 100 times for a 1/15 chance at the item you want at a lower gear track.
I got bored of farming valorstones to get to 590 ilvl so I just stopped playing at all at 582 ilvl as I cant be asked to spend days on repeatable stuff so I will come back when better gear will be easier to get
It wasnt like that in the original 3. At least not on Scarlet Crusade or The Scryers. Everyone was pretty chill. Its modern players who need instant gratification. Not us old vets.
Blizzard will never change the culture. It’s how gamers are in every single game. People want to zoom and get stuff done and move on to the next thing.
Because if you don't stay ahead of the curve, you will be lower in ilvl and experience, and not be invited to pugs. Most m+ runs are pugs. I don't know about raids.
It was never like that. The whole racing thing startes in WotLK with introduction of ilvls specifically addons that were showing it. So bacially all downfall of WoW started by players. Back in the day all raid were relevant all the time. Like you had to go through raiding Kara if you wanted to go to BT because otherwise your ass would be owned. Now you get gear in a matter of seconds especially at the later time in expansion and there is literally 0 need to do anything before the current raid.
I agree that blizz is trying to slow down the release of content. Some people are just good at the game so they get things done quicker and more efficiently than others. There are some “casual” players that play wayyyy more than competitive players, and competitive players will out dps and outgear them 10/10 times.

Bored in less than 30 days. Item numbers on gear mean nothing. I regret coming back.

Ppl need to stop no lifing WoW.
What is with people that have 2 free weeks before they gonna work again and just wanna push m+ keys and dont wanna do casual stuff for a month
I‘m fine with that sspeed right now. The „normal player“ with job and everything doesn‘t feel that stressed to come after… Thanks Blizz
It wasnt really like that til they added achievements in wotlk.

Did I miss something. It's been 1 week of heroics right ??
A week in and you barely get a group if you're not 590+… if you're unlucky with drops, like my warlock, you're left behind quick.
Leveling took 5 hours at launch? Even with a full time job and family I have 2 characters beyond ready
I’m only level 79 and just plotting along enjoying the world. Feels so much better
Sitting here already 7/8 heroic lmao

Ive never played like that. Ive always taken my time lvling and really enjoying questing, zones and getting gear at low lvls😂
And that’s why I’ll be leaving WoW for good. That doesn’t make it right or good. And it’s ruining the experience for everyone else.
I was very lucky in a way, I hurt my back at work the day the expansion came out on early access so thought fk it, im gonna get the early access and chill for a solid 2 weeks and just smash it out
100% I love the pase dont feel pressure to push and keep up

Its all about money.
Its briliant…first time I did not need to rush max level, just checking random stuff rather than chasing butterflies
Ye! Finish the game soon as possible! And leave.😂
High end players play that game probably 10 to 20 hours a day of course your bored
It used to be about exploration and socialising
The race crept in
Racing thru content has been the meta for YEARS, this slow pacing is absolutely ass
I love the slower pace release
Still no one forces anyone to take part in the race. And month without m+ while for many ppl it's why they are playing it's bad move.
Take your time enjoy this is a great expansion

Thats not why they are doing it, they are prolonging it because the longer the expansion is out the more monthly payments you make in the long run.
Everyrhing blizzard does is money making strategies.

Its an MMO its meant to be slow 😂
Should never have given in to casuals, ruined the game
I accidentally deleted my druid 🙁 can't recover either.. lots sad
It’s wild man, I literally only have like 2 hours a day to allot to playing.
Part of me is like damn, I’m falling behind but the other part is like I got so much crap to do in game I don’t know where to begin.
It wasnt like that in the original 3. At least not on Scarlet Crusade or The Scryers. Everyone was pretty chill. Its modern players who need instant gratification. Not us old vets.

I'm liking the new style

Who cares how paying subs wanna play? Why do you care?

the raid or die time needs to come back
Retail looks dumb as hell
Back like the good ole days
I try to enjoy the game , rushing is stressful. Why pay to stress
