  2. Something I wondered about was in zerith mortis..there were several islands in the distance and I wondered if they were going to be part of the game which as it turned out they weren't.

  3. Imagine believing this was their plan with the Primus. They're still lying through their teeth and sticking to the ludicrous idea of 'no guys shadowlands wasn't literal hell to develop no we didn't cut half the expac'

  4. ill give Blizz a pass on Shadowlands. considering everything the studio was going through at the time, covid, government rightly looking into the terrible workplace conditions, stupid people in positions of power. its a miracle they put anything half good out at all. i dont confuse the rank and file employees who put actual effort and care into making good games with the terrible people who direct the ship. remember, everybody has a boss, and alot to lose if they go against those bosses.

  5. Of course things were cut and of course they won’t admit it. They don’t want another WoD situation where everyone finds out what they missed out on.

  6. They've internally normalized this behavior so when they end up cutting chucks of their initial plan it's just part of the process and something they always intended to happen. None of them can admit to mistakes because their internal evaluations have a quota of under-performers to find.

  7. When you tie an entire expansion to an overarching narrative, there needs to be a lot of narrative to work with. Blizzard sucks at this. Their best content has always been side story and one-off situations, yet they keep pounding their head against that wall.

  8. I said this for a while now I am sure I made a comment on somebody’s post about it. Shadowlands seemed like it had some decent ideas but it’s just how they were tied together that made the expansion feel disjointed.
