Hope this clears peoples anxiety around the decision for now! I'll be updating you guys daily as we go through shadowlands on meta and how this plays out – Which isnt easy for me to do or an easy decision for you guys to make. Just dont panic! What about pvp wise? Does the choice matter in pvp?
The only thing I know for sure about covenants is that I'm going to regret my choice in about 6 weeks.
For someone who will mostly raid Mythic, Sub Necrolords would be the best bet?
I wanna go necrolord because I like the idea of making my own abominations 😁

Logs are not showing rogues doing all that good unfortunately.
Blizzard is genius. THay just nerf all shut to ground, so its does not matter whitch covenant u pick. Good job.
so I assume this is PVE as you don't seem to mention PVP a whole lot. So I still have no idea which one to pick
One thing I haven't really seen discussed is the extra mobility you get from Night Fae and Venthyr. For NF you get a scuffed sprint/blink and for Venthyr you get like a megabuffed Shadowstep/teleport with no target OR PATHING requirement. Considering all covenants are within ~1% actual dps right now, Door of Shadows or Soulshape could likely provide more than 1% throughput on some movement heavy encounters.
The only thing I’m sure, it’s that I will NOT play Kyrian. Orrible skill, orrible buff cause of extra combo point proc on all 3 specs and first only for Pelagus. He will be nerfed because it’s bis for almost 50% of dps spec in the game. After that, pretty sure kyrian will be the worse dps one, so just pick one of the other 3!
Probably gonna start Venthyr first just for the transmogs & then swap to Night Fae for the cov ability.

I hate this system already. As someone who does Mythic + , Mythic Raiding and high rated PVP this is nothing but a pain in the ass. Just let me freaking min/max my character ffs.
I have the problem where i would like to play all specs. I really like the vanish 1 with assas, but it sucks for outlaw :/ (i think atleast, havent looked on it for a long time). Rogue ofc

Finality legendary + kyrian is the best ST
I really just wanna focus on sub rogue with the best covenant for ST damage, so I can just go ham on the raid boss or folks in pvp 🙂 but venthyr and necrolords are the most appealing choices for me regarding the transmog they offer
Well if the damage is 1.5% from each other on single target,doesn't that just mean you'd go with the one that does the most AOE?

Personally I like to play two Rogue specs and focus one into ST and the other in AOE so in this case Sub and Outlaw. M+ is my favourite thing though so I want to just choose what 'feels' the nicest to use in your AOE M+ rotation first and foremost.
I plan to play sub and assassination. No clue what covenant or legendary to choose first. I do raid mythic.
What do you think about Blindside and Venthyr Flagellation. Flagellation can be use with blindside. one more Question can afrer Sepsis and vanish can u any skills in that vanish from Sepsis ?

Sub is just okay and I really don't want to keep track of 3 different buffs as Outlaw.
