I think one needs more knowledge to do crafting. I've been playing retail for only 4 months and farming has been so much easyer for me
At least on my server people sell basically every craftable item for less than the materials are worth. Only exception are rank 5 and 6 legendarys, and these are losing value by the minute right now as well. I seriously don't understand why you would produce and sell things for more than the materials cost, you lose gold on every step of the way. The only scenario were this makes kind of sense are the items you actually skill with and have no other use. But I feel crafting is complete nonsense when you have to pay people to take the shit you crafted. I really struggle with this.
Dancing on the mailbox makes the most!
It's the same as real life in the feudal era. The peasants and simple-minded farm, the artisans turn those materials Into something more valuable and the merchants move those products and everything else for massive exponential profits
Crafting is like in real life investing. If you don't have knowledge and enough money (gold) to risk (even to lose it all) – don't do it. Level up few alts doing farming by this time. This will give needed gold for investment, alts for cover most or all crafting professions, some knowledge about what is selling and learn tsm. In sort play game, have fun and everything will come by time 🙂
With a little bit of prep crafting makes so much more. I've made an average of 150k profit since the patch dropped logging on for at most 20 minutes a day to craft and post.
Farming isn't that boring so long as you do different types of farms and don't try to do the same one hour after hour.
I tend to do 30-minute farm sessions. Volatiles, dungeons or gathering changing every time I do it so I have a lot of different stuff to sell and don't get bored.
I do also craft but find it's a bit more volatile price and sales-wise than farming, however you can make some excellent gold.
My answer to "Should I farm or craft?" is No! Do both. A very informative video 👍
I went the crafting route from day 1 of my goldmaking adventure. That is why it took me 9 months to get to my first million when others made their million in like 3 months. But I had fun doing it and learning along the way. 🙂
How can you find farming monotonous but cancel scanning and reposting every 10 seconds not ^^ If find the auction house system totally broken, people should not be allowed to post more often than every 10 min and the bought item should be from random vendor if they are at the same price, not the freshly posted. But farming has multiboxers so …
