I think that's a solid list! I really like Shadowlands too, definitely one of the better expansions. I honestly think the only thing I'd personally change is I'd flip MoP with Cata, putting Cats at number 6. I love the Chinese aesthetic and the whole point of Cata was to make the older world feel fresh, but now that that content is a decade old it no longer feels that fresh, sorta defeating one of the main selling points of it. Plus I actually think it ruined quite a few zones like Thousand Needles and Loch Modan, which is a shame.
I like shadowlands but the best for me was pandaria
Tbc is the best but Cataclysm is my favourite

8 Legion. Offered nothing in PVP , lvling zones were arse, world quest were unwiped arse
7.BFA offered nothing for PvP lvling zones were much nicer
6. Shadowlands. Loved the lvling however sick of this borrowed power shit so stopped playing after 16 years
5 WoD okay lvling zones, garrisons gave me aids glad sact still remains one of my fav things ever in WoW
4. Cata m. Enjoyed cata aside from the new ‘old’ zones. Spent a lot of time doing TB
3. MoP. In terms of PVP almost its finest moment lvling zones were awesome but Pandas are shitcunts
2. TBC. Interchangeable with WotLK depending on mood. Loved almost everything about BC. Spent most Friday doing a million drunken arenas

Shadowlands reminds me of wrath of litchking and burning crusade mixed. Love how you can pick a covenant. I really feel like they dropped the ball on professions though. Unless ur making flasks and potions ur not making much
I like your list and the way you gave your reasons, friendships are really important to the play xperiance. WLK 100 percent agree with I find it hard to believe that will ever be topped, i`d rank TBC over Legion but legion would come in at 3rd for me.
Shdowlands though? ouch. Just my humble opoion but hands down the worst ever wow expansion. Even worse than BFA, WOD and Cata which were all bloody awful. Shadowlands focuses way too much on silly systems and theres not enough actual content. The mplus affixes for season one are just plain awful, sure mplus should be challenging but Stuff like Spieful and storming are just vexing as hell. Thorghast is hands down the worst thing they have ever done in wow, its literally an irritating timesink that is forced on you if you want to build/upgrade legendaries , its unengagung and boring. It feels bad being forced to do something you don`t want to do .
The coveanant system is also totally Broken. Things like wild spirits / convoke have forced people into playing specfific class/specs/coveants which feels really bad. Wow has always had Overpowered classes over the years sure, but it feels at the moment the balance of the game is more broken than it has ever been and a lot of the community just facerolls the Meta both in pve and pvp.

Love it when people can put nostalgia aside. BC was great but still suffered from the simplicity and clunkiness of vanilla WoW. QoL and overall "feel" have been significantly improved, albeit at the cost of the game's identity and mechanics
