  1. yea i quit playing literally days after legion came out. Perchased the gold package got all the bells and whistles…and played for a few days, it was the same shit with very little actual new ideas. I came back in 2020 oh look new characters to make and play…WAIT!!! no you have to PLAY to find new characters, do quest or rep or what ever. You do not actually get to play them AFTER you have just paid for a new xpac…Blah Blah Blah..Come out with some NEW SHIT!!! NEW WORLDS!!! NEW FUN ANYTHING!!!!!

  2. Amen brother! While I miss both FFXI and WOW, I personally feel that I am LEET in my changed role from Mom gamer to PhD candidate. But oh how challenging it is to refrain from joining the new FF or WOW classic. I will admit though that I did fall back into Classic for a while, but only to be able to spend time playing with my adult son who lives states away ( so she says).

  3. Honestly felt like WOW went down hill since mists of Pandaria. For me the reason i quit was it was just getting to expensive to keep my account up especially with a game that I had no one to play with and got bored playing by myself even as a hunter with pets

  4. I leveled my character to max level in first two zones by 100% the quests there. When I went to start my end game content I found out this was actually a mistake. I needed to finish the main story of every zone before I could do end game. Meaning my time spent doing anything besides the main story was now a waste of my time and I was going to have to invest more time into leveling a character already at max and not actually moving forward in any content. Just ad bad of a design has not having enough quests to level. Punishing a player for wanting to do content at their fingertips.

  5. I loved this video man, it's just so genuine. I've been a gamer since 2002 (Started PS1) then when Ragnarok Online came, I got addicted to it and played a lot of MMORPG games from Grade school up until now (MMORPG is my escape to my problems, it feels like I'm in a different world when I'm playing it). MMORPG is the best game genre that I have played all over my life (Still playing MMORPG now but not that seriously unlike before, mostly playing mobile MMORPG's with AFK grinding). Now that I'm an adult (29 yrs old), There are lots of MMORPG games that I wanted to try, but for me MMORPG is not just a game. It's time consuming and if you're that competitive to it, you will be loosing the opportunities in the real world. Now I'm enjoying watching streamers and checking videos of them.

  6. I am actually considering quitting the game after almost 18 years…the big one is the error I keep getting when updating the game [Whoops! Something went wrong – BLZBNTBNA00000015] So many folks are having issues with this error in WoW, Warzone, etc. I could play the game for hours and then the next day there is an update and it throws this error. It can take up to two weeks before the system will update for me. Frustrating. Its sad…I really love the characters I have created, and exploring the world. I don't play with other players much anymore though I am in an alliance, I just love escaping for a while. Thanks for this video!

  7. The main characters and main story ideas that made WoW be so successful are gone, for. along time already. Cataclysm was a TOTAL DISAPOINTMENT, and it hit hard cuz the expectations after WOTLK were huge. WOTLK was the peak of wow, and it was the 3rd expansion that simply pumped the awesome story more and more. The hype of the storyline was growing. Everything after..was just..killing main characters everyone loved, changing kings, making Thraal a green all-loving Jesus, and creating other "routes" of the story that had NOTHING to do with the ones that created the community of the game in the first place. Why me (which was OBSESSED with wow), would I still play now, when the game's story has random bands and characters that have nothing to do with the main style of the game ? Tehres no reason to play it anymore, since it is a totally different game now. And beside the story side, even in-game changes were horrible. The talent tree has its good and bad, but overall..it just..doesnt fit…it was a useless change. Things also became "friendly for everybody" and ..it seems there's no challenge. Besides, everyone can watch a Youtube video and mimic the rotation of the abilities found there and..bam! tjhats it: damage. A lot of stuff changed, and changed so much that a lot of people like me feel that this is not woW, this is a game that just has WoW's graphics. But the game it…simply another game now

  8. Haven't played wow in a long time, but really enjoy it when I did. Other than Final Fantasy you mentioned, is there alternatives out there to look at – in particular any that are embracing crypto/nfts?

  9. I live in Thailand and the best server I can play is on Oceanic which has 220ms+ … I tried free trial it's playable but I'm not gonna sub as I don't think it's worth for a long run. ( 220ms+, on MMO game )

  10. Game never hit the same after wotlk… it was off and on until WOD. Now its a boring uninspired chore that almost made me regret wasting my time on the game when it was good.

But nah that game was pure hype. Thry couldnt sustain it though. Its just an old boring game now.

  12. i am also a player, who quit playing long time ago. in my case and the case of many people of my server at that time, was the expansion cataclysm. the world change was to big, the changes to many. a lot of players lost the connection to the game. then there was this one incident, which caused trouble during wrath of the lich king. i was in a raid group, we raided ulduar weeks after weeks. we were no experts, but we improved over time and the most important thing, we took notes on every drop, from random drop to boss loot.

what made us suspicous, was the fact, the loot never changed. after a couple of weeks, 50% of our raid group were fully equipped, the other 50% had nothing, because nothing dropped for them. this fact hindered us to progress any further into the raid. so we decided to switch out 1-2 characters. but the loot did not improve. i when with the loot list from weeks into the blizzard forum. a heated discussion startet, a lot of people called us bad players, trolls etc. then suddenly after some time, another player appeared with their loot list. we talked and one thing came into the light. their loot was 100% the opposite from our raid group. so we decided to compare to very end every aspect of our raid group, loot results etc.

    we were:
    horde players

    they were:
    alliance players

the raid setup matched exactly, they even tried the same things as we did, changing characters, switching out some members etc. the loot never changed. when we posted this finding in the blizzard forum, well blizzard only had one thing to say – the loot is random.

well it was not, the mechanic, which defines the loot had, a serious issue, which was prooven by the stats, we shown to them.

in the end, no support or changes were made. small raid groups were simply abondened, not worth the effort. this caused our raid group to break and also the one on the alliance side.

what we discovered was at that time, that the loot only changes, when you have an 10 player raid, you have to switch out 4-5 members, so that the loot changes. by members, i mean players, not characters. if your buddy switched to another character, the loot did not change. so the conclusion of this problem was, that the loot is randomized by the account IDs not the character IDs. And because the account IDs have a very high number, this also means, you need a significant change on that number, so that the loot changes.

rumor had it, that the loot for the entire raid were precreated in the moment, the first boss was killed. so therefor, once the first boss was down, the loot did not change. many raid groups complained at this time, that they randomizing mechanic in the game was flawed.

as for my personal experience, when i took a look into the expansion Legion, due to a request of a former friend, i played for three months, day and night, whenever there was time. i skilled my blacksmith or better i tried to skill it. it took me entirely 3 month to reach the final level of the fck. mining skill and god knows how much ores i had stored in the guild bank, the personal bank, ingame mails etc. then i met a player, who according to his info, was a new player, just startet playing wow and guess what, he was able to trigger all the mining and blacksmith quests within 3 weeks.

so in my opinion, due to the lack of testing or tested mechanics a lot of players were blessed, when it came to drops, items rewards etc. and there is other side, the left behind players. who can play as much as they want, put in as much effort possible, but they still do not reach their goals.

yes grinding in games is to some extent necessary, requires endurance etc. but the game mechanics were so broken and became even more broken with each addon. not to mention the continues changes made by blizzard to classes. all with the public excuste, to make the game more emergeable to non raiding players.

  13. I found this video and the comments to be an amazing resource, I never really played world of Warcraft I had some friends by it for me but I just had a kid and I was just too busy at the time. This last week I decided to take my wife me and a friend through world of Warcraft classic, and its incredibly barren, but to me it was important to go through as much of this game as I can before it inevitably collapses in on itself.

But I've been immensely interested in how the best MMO of all time could turn and eat its own community and player base. So I'm looking into videos to try to discover what happened.

  14. I quit because they made thongs and bras a clothing option for females. I'm a tiny girl, I can wear all those "options" and look good, I still find it completely disrespectful. There is no modesty anymore.

  15. The first thing for me was being very disappointed in the new dragons expansion copy paste copy paste.. Then they started talking about alliance and horde playing together. And I was like wtf. The final nail in the coffin was the so called Social contract. That was the final straw for me. I will never play or spend money on another blizzard game. I have canceled my account and uninstall it. I have play wow since launch. I had a lot of good times and will miss the old wow. They can take their wokeness and shove it.

  16. It started costing too much just to get stuck doing daily chores in game……I had multiple accounts and it became too much to keep up with. Ever since activision took over it started feeling alien to play. The wow tokens killed things rapidly as well.

  17. I like wow but I recently started to play again and noticed why I quit the last time. New players get hated all the time because they don't know the mechanics of a dungeon to the tinyest of detail. And as the video says, it's a time sink. The problem is that casual gamers cannot play the "fun" parts because they can't find a group on their level, so you are forced to grind to the max so it's possible to join Raids or anything else. Last but not least: quests feel all the same and get boring after you have killed mobs for the 10th time.

  18. They are not quitting. They are quitting ShadowLands and moving over to WOTLK Classic servers. My realm is booming!
The server I am on is almost max pop in StormWind and sooooo many people there it is crazy!
Face it Blizz devs. ShadowLands sucked but I am glad you fired the dev who made all those awful changes.
Yes game design theory must be known and adhered to or quit your job ASAP!

  19. I stopped because i Think Blizzard has done to many bad changes in the game after WOTLK and changes like game tokes, to a pay, push out god players, and then I also was kind of tired of grinding and that all the new system in the game just make it all to easy and boring

  20. I played world of warcraft since wrath of the litch king and until now it was amazing. Personally, the best expansion was Pandaria and Battle for Azeroth. Now I'm considering quitting thanks to the new messy talent tree, weakened damage as I'm barely doing any thing and constantly dying with my new Dracthyr. I searched many times for a decent talent tree but to no avail. Hopped on to check my hunter, terribly low amount damage even with the starter build. I used to be able to engage rares and take them down with my hunter, even more so with my demon hunter but at this point I doubt I'll be able to do anything. Why did they even need to be re-vamping the skills? It was perfect at the Battle for Azeroth expansion.

As you have described it, the game ruined itself

  21. The games a scam the only people who like it are new players meaing people 2-3 years into it, after that you realize blizzard works with the pay 2 win players and how they play the talents that the newbs pick will be the future meta talents.
So when you can 1 shot people dont expect to for long cause 100% chance they'll hit you with a nerf.
So all you'r hardwork is constantly WASTED wasted wasted you can enjoy the 1 shot you discovered for a few months then it changes.
You might think thats fine I'll just learn the new burst rotation, guess what… that gets annoying after a while and some burst rotations so weird you might as well of made a whole new toon.
We get emotionally attached to our charactors ESPECIALLY our mains and when Blizzard changes our mains talents up and things, it can make you feel like they insulted you COMPLETELY.
And are we really going to pay for that? NO! We will quit.

  22. I liked solo playing and being able to help others on random whenever, when they went all out for just socializing and groups it took away a lot of the solo player fun and randomness.

The build up gear then also tear down constantly and not having a implemented strategy that works well for everyone with gradual leveling. so it could work for solo and social.

Having it go up in quests and boss but also locking it so it could not be spam given.

Making it fun not a task.
