  1. I believe 10.0 will be as exiting as Roblox. Good for kids but it makes no sense most of the time and there isnt any cohersion in sny part of it. I thought shadowlands would redeem wow. Now I think its unredeemable. The way they destroyed Arthas Menethil in this story show that the good brains of blizzard just arent there anymore. Rest in peace World of Warcraft. Blizz is lucky they have wow Classic atleast, that is good if nothing

  2. I think Teldrasil has been explained already actually. Jailer asked Sylvannas to kill a lot of people, she got angry with that one nelf because blizz decided to write her as the "women are impulsive" stereotype and said "fuck it, there you go".

  3. It failed so hard cuz the people making it are so inept and incapable of producing anything other than what they see as perfect in their empty fuckin skulls. To danuser, the man with the writing skills of a kindergartener, this prolly was his masterpieces… but that dont mean it was good, by any means. Its full of plot holes, has zero idea of what it is or wants to be, and ruins all of the other shit that we use to love but have detached from now that its covered with danusers taint.. and thats just me getting started on why the story and danuser are fuckin garbage, i could go on, but ill save that for another time..

As far as gameplay, Ion saw that people seemed to like artifact weapons, so hes been trying to piggyback off of and rip off that idea ever since. He has no ideas of his own that are worth a damn anymore. He has no real vision of what wow gameplay is or should look and feel like. Hes just there for his paycheck anymore, or atleast thats what it looks like to me and prolly many other former wowheads… wow is failing cuz most of the leadership and people involved have let it fail.. all it takes for something like wow to fail is for the people propping it up to stop caring and let it fall. If the people at blizz were still as concerned about making great video games that players loved and wanted to play, instead of being run and populated by a buncha people just trying to get through the week and get thier paychecks, things might be a bit better. This is what you get when the people making something lose the passion for making whatever it is their making, everyone else loses their passion for it too eventually. So after all the years of, "sorry, well do better next time" the players have had enough and moved on. Honestly the biggest suprised is how long we let them string us on with their bullshit…

  4. If Blizzard just said they had to cut a patch because of covid and other interferences, there would even be cheering from a lot of us. They would finally be transparant and honest, plus showing us it isn't just a matter of been unprofessional. The fact they claim this was their plan all along, reeks of lies. They'd receive a lot of respect by telling the truth. Now they just let us hang with the believe that they're completely and utterly incompetent. And through this they endanger the potential hype for the next expansion. Now we're in the believe ''they're telling the truth'. If this patch cycle and storytelling is they way the meant to do it, I won't even look at the next expansion beyond the announcement in april.

  5. I have had a replica of the Helm of Domination for many years, long before the official one was released and it now stands for something completely different to what it did when I bought it. They ruined precious lore and I will always consider Shadowlands as non-cannon.

  6. This is my contribution to the stupid s**t that gets written in the comments. I totally agree that there were tons of storylines in the xpac that were introduced but never explored. They never told the jailor's story, in any way. Telling a story is the absolute heart of an mmorpg. To leave that story out of the game is madness. I'm not counting on them getting it right for the next xpac, as I'm almost certainly jumping ship wholly to FFXIV when my Blizz sub gets close to running out this time. I do hope they fix their problems, but I'm not counting on it, and that's a little sad.

If I were counting myself the hero of the story of my WoW gaming, Blizz's leadership would be the villains here.

  7. I think there was a joke on South Park that Rift on Family Guy about how they pick their jokes by having a bunch of porpoises move balls into certain locations and then randomly generate the jokes from there. It kind of feels like that's where World of Warcraft is currently narratively

  8. I stand with Arthas, he was forced to do what he did attacking Stratholme cause the undead just pushed to much forward to the south. He had to defend his borders! And also UD were decimating the human population to male other UD out of them. He couldn't allow the to mass weapon of mass destruction like the pleague to stand at his doors.
Arthas did nothing wrong. The undead provoked his war, and made a villan out of him, but in truth, he was just a fallen hero.

  9. I wish they called Zovaal Zovaal from the start. Calling him The Jailer is so confusing and really makes his character fall flat before you even meet him.

  11. Uther tosses Arthas into the Maw…
And at the end of it, Uther doesn't really care that he effectively destroyed whatever was left of Arthas' soul, and Arthas himself played zero role in the story.

  12. Its a no brainer that BfA and SLs was cut for the next expansion, as was WoD cut for Legion. So that means they have been working on the next expansion for 4-5 years? If that is the case, it better blow the roof off. I think its exactly right though, all of these Heroes and Villians we know in the Warcraft universe have been built up and established and they can use any combination of whats left to drive the story forward, they just need to take their time. If they start new, they better take a whole expansion or 2 to explain it all.

  13. I remember how ALL OF US was so excited for Shadowlands when they showed the trailer for it. That being said in that said trailer? We should had gotten a clue how it was gonna go when Slyvanas wiped her ass with the Lich King. LOL LMAO

  15. The opening to the video was perfect! It completely sums up not only movies but games as well that is what ultimately makes or breaks a story you come for the hero but leave sad for the villain its just called good story writing J.R.R Tolkin instantly comes to mind!, However, will stick to Warcraft I have played since Warcraft 1… and let's all be honest ( who generally played Warcraft 3 mainly that is! ) You went on a journey with Arthas the prince who wanted nothing else to protect his home and to prove himself be a capable future King! we journeyed with him as he was slowly manipulated by Mal'Ganis… drove him to the culling of strathholme to the betrayal of his men in Northrend being manipulated again by Ner'zul and ultimately being transformed into the Lich King…. When Wrath of the Lich King launched the story just got better to me it felt Arthas was with you the moment you landed on Northrend He played his hand in almost everything you did his presence was there even if it wasn't… I wouldn't say it was a perfect expansion there was a lot that Blizzard should have done.. cough * azjol nerub * how they treated Anub'arak at the start of Wrath annoyed me! but enough of that! when I finally stood toe to toe with the lich king and watched his ending cinematic I was sad!!! but happy that I had finally put his story to rest then Blizzard made me furious when they teased him in Shadowlands then gave him an unjustly final end… Garrosh got a far better ending than Arthas!!!

  16. My reasons for hating SL
    1. first and absolutely foremost – they butchered old content, and old characters – it all would have been a million times less painful if they butchered new content, and new characters, but the SL was a place, a place that sadly we never should have gone to because Blizz did not do it right
    2. The new content sucked – maybe the artwork and design was not bad, but come on! based on our old game, did you ever in your wildest dreams think that the SL was a place where you had an entire realm of vampires? and I like vampires, but it was absolutely out of place, as was Maldraxus, fleshy rotten zombies are what they are because they are undead in the realm of the living, it makes no sense why the army of the death realms has half rotten boney corpses running around SL = spirit realm!
    3. The players literally have no agency, and nothing that ever happens in the WOW has a damn consequence – EVER! There are no real threats because there is an end expansion raid group that will clean house and kill whatever stands in our way, every time no fail, not even in the story that might have worked for the first 3 expansions, or maybe the first 6 but its really past time that at least so far as the lore goes, we fail at something
    4. Making a non binary NPC and then sticking its head on the arbiter's dead corpse to become the new arbiter this is the vomit that vomit vomits up, the crap that crap craps, this is exhaustively unnecessary and irrelevant

  17. Completely disagree about your opinion what makes a great villain especially about the dark knight. I dont want to sympathize nor identify with the villain. The villain the marvel movies Thanos his reason was idiotic and ridiculous. Thanos is written completely different from his comic counter part

  18. Idk what this guy is talking about. The burning crusade is the only group of villain in Warcraft well established in game. The rest were from outside lore. For example, if you didn’t play Warcraft 3 or read the books you couldn’t know who the fuck Arthas was. If you didn’t read war of the Ancient same goes for Azshara was. Warcraft had a habit of introducing villains who required you played their prior games. Which is a problem cause it locks people who were playing Warcraft for 30years out. I this Zovaal served the purpose of just being a plot device to make all new Warcraft villains going for in wow made villains. No more legacy villains. He came he rendered he died. Now I expect all new villains to be complete new.

  19. Battle for Azeroth and Shadowlands both have that 'Game of Thrones Season 7 and 8' feel to it: The major plot points were laid out by the previous directors and writers, and the current set did not care about what happened before or how to bridge those points, built their set pieces, 'whatatwist'ed their way through the points, and then moved on.

The reason it failed is they built a gearing system, left the writing to people who do not play or care, and then continued to show arrogance in ignoring the player base when they point out problems. It failed because the whales buying mounts and pets and appearances and the revenue from the token sales for boosting more than offset the revenue of lost subs. When enough whales leave, the game will end. And the whales are starting to leave.

  20. I agree with everything, but I hated Zovaal when he was the Jailer because I'm tired of the "Lucifer" analogues – guy with power, who is the 'best of them' or who happens to be part of creation, says he doesn't like x and that gets him into Hell-analogue. No, pick another mythology to play with or stop it. We have too many Lucifers running around, it's annoying.
Bland and boring villains who are going through the motions are probably the worse sin committed. I get rushing to the end – I do, sometimes you can pick up the stuff dropped later, but having no reason for them is just so annoying. I want to enjoy this story, let me enjoy it without having to be like "oh no, I have to go and see this?"

  21. nice! another interesting topic might be how many players actually do care about the storyline; most of my fellow casual pvpers (pvp is horrific in SL) also do not have any interest in the storyline.. we really just want to have fun in random bgs (getting hard to do these days). I always appreciate your content!! Thanks bro 👍🏻❤️🙏🏻

  22. I was excited to here the dialogue with Sargeras in Legion only for him not to say a word.. just stabby stab the planet for reasons. I was excited for all of the interactions with Azshara in the BFA patch but really we barely got anything considering she's been an important villain in WoW since 2004 as well. In Shadowlands I was actually looking forward to seeing how all of the various stories in the zones would continue. Now that it's clear none of those will be continued, it leaves me feeling like there's no point to caring about anything story related in WoW because it will be left unexplained and unresolved.

One of the better moments of Shadowlands were those scenes between Sylvanas and Anduin in the Maw, incidentally also moments with a fair amount of dialogue between characters.

  23. i think i am the only one who undetsood the sentence " a divided cosmos"… he is not talking about the 6 forces to be united… he is saying the very eistance of the 6 forces is the divide… the cosmos used to be 2 forces. one was dividede into 6 and one is the other. the dangerous one.

  24. how can i get to accolon there is no way he will read my comments.. but i really wanna hear his opinion about what i understood regards what zuval means a comsos divided.. he did not divide it.. it already is… in the past there were 2 forces and one was divided into 6 pieces by the first ones (one forces we know) abd the other one which is the "opposite". this is what zuval meant i think

  25. This expansion needed at the very least another 6 months of development time. The entire thing is far too fragmented and was like they were expecting the systems to carry the game in lieu of a coherent story
