Philthygamerdad presents; episode #1 of a beginners guide to PVP and the arena in World of Warcraft; Shadowlands.
In this series, I will layout a guide for yall to follow so you may step into the arena comfortably, and confidently. I went from a 1600 player, to a 2100 duelist in one season, you can too!
We begin with my own backstory of getting into PVP/arena, before we get into the nitty-gritty, with this episode focusing on the mindset of a PVP player, picking classes, and how/what/where to practice!

nice video. keep it up
I appreciate getting to hear from your perspective as a non-rank 1 gladiator but still a good player. Some guides from the 'best' seem like they jump the gun and have new players feeling in over their heads. Gotta build a strong foundation before worrying too much about more advanced details/strats. Gonna be Arms Warrior for me!
Man your perspective of an athlete (which makes sense given your history) is awesome! Keep it up!
i kinda like it when you say please dont play tank, please dont do it lol
This video was the top option for the search "wow pvp beginner guide shadowlands" What I was looking for was something more basic, like an overview of pvp system. I can't find a single guide that explains that, not on wowarmory and not on wowhead. The only guides that did cover those are like 7 years old. Fundamental questions like what rating do I begin with? How do I get my overall rating, when I have separate ratings for 2v2, 3v3, and 10v10s?
I do appreciate videos like these that give some basic tips on what to do and not to do once you start. They just don't provide the framework for the content players need before they get started.
