  1. This version of Sunken Temple was in the game all the way till Cataclysm. It was huge. Each of those balconys had a mini-boss, there was a zelda-like puzzle where you had to activate statues in the correct order, it was the culmination of a long questline that spanned 10 levels, and every class had a special class quest in there that gave a really cool class-specific item. A full run through there could take hours! There is some speculation that the next phase of Season of Discovery could have Sunken Temple turned into a 10 man raid.

  2. For us who still play classic,…we know the Sunken Temple in it's original form… in the bottom water area is a Boss…. those balcony's had a sequence to them that allowed you to open the final Dragon boss… lots of associated quests too. One you pick up in the Hinterlands… one in Tanaras…

  3. I love your content, and your upload schedule is super ambitious. I know from exploring OOB in this game that there is only so much, it's up to you to pace yourself though. Nice video 🙂

  4. It was so easy to get lost in here if you didn't know the way around (or if you're dps just following the tank and get separated and make a wrong turn). It's kind of sad that they changed it for Cataclysm. I get that it's easier for new players who may be doing it, but like with Scholomance ST lost a lot of what made it what it was. It looses a bit of its spookiness, the sense of dread you felt being in there. (Scholomance really suffered from this; that place was like being in a horror movie and I'm so glad they brought it back).

Edit: The gongs on the balcony were part of the puzzle. You had to ring them in a certain order. Also those long hallways were just filled with trash that you had to fight through.

  5. Oh no this makes me feel so old 😂 I was there gandalf, 3000 years ago…

Edit: as others mentioned, this is how the dungeon originally was, didn't know you could still go there tho

  6. In total it was 3 main levels and 2 circular corridors, one surrounding the water pit in the bottom to reach the balconies there and one around the main chamber to reach those balconies, and you had to go through them to activate stones and flames, in the pit in the bottom to activate the boss, and touching any stone in the wrong order (not sequential) triggered a lightning storm that dealt a lot of damage. For the main floor it opened the door to the end boss area.
