Purchase dragonflight, get your character started at the exile's reach (a tutorial zone). Do not use the free boost that you get if you bought epic edition because there's gonna be no chance for you to learn the class. Play through Battle for azeroth ot legion expension while levelling up and DO NOT CHOOSE ALLIANCE because horde is the way
I’d only listen to a select few people. There are those that will lead you astray and may give you false info.
With that said, go into it with a fresh mindset and look forward to story telling. Gather as much info as possible from main story quests and also level up as fast as possible. The War within expansion is right around the corner and there will be new stories to tell.
