Imma stick to ffxiv…
2004
it has been the largest waste of time in my life.
We never clear Firelands back in the day. We frequency wiped due to not paying attention due to 1 – gabling with the coin during fights, 2 – pali pulling, hearthing; and laughing at us as we screeched in Skype, 3 – we just sucked.
Best times i ever had playing video games.
RIP Nightfall ;_;
At high ranks, rocket league has been the only other game I’ve encountered where the whole lobby can be silently locked in and working towards the same task at hand. Its crazy how they are so similar in some aspects, you literally made me realize that I’m the same way as well, because these are the two games I play 😂 it never clicked
Comments full of people who havent played since shadowlands lol
lol group content
im sorry i had to click off based of principle, "i love how hard WoW is" uses 14 diffrent third party addons
I was NOT expecting this video to be so entertaining. I am glad that I gave it a shot. Thank you for the solid content!
Acknowledges thriving toxicity.
Identifies a major element that has directly influenced the situation in becoming toxic and complains about it.
… Doesn't want the toxic element removed bevause that's the secret sauce.
Criticizes people who might observe how trivial and overblown the situation is that they have found themself in.
Typical CRC error attitude of an addict.
Solution – psychedelics. Escape the hamster wheel, dude.
Hey man, I've been there, and even after quitting I went back to private servers, so partially I get you. Though, it all depends on your personality. Like what you state about coming back is not fully true. I had two hardcore guilds inviting me to raids, yet I decided to leave them on read, because I enjoyed joining a beginner guild's run with my over-geared character who received no loot, just because they were more fun to play with. Sure, when they tried to be smart about strategy and didn't knew shit and were not receptive of my strategies were cringe, but ultimately, they became long-term friends with me. The HC players? If I sneezed and missed a spell they would've pull me to a discord channel to tell me I got 1 more mistake before they remove me. So yeah, what I'm yapping about basically is: It's really up to you. Understand wow is a gigantic slot machine and you are a gambling addict, and quit hanging around with neckbeards who are here for the 92312th BIS item they loot for their third account who will ghost you if you ever cancel a raid due to irl 😀
I giggled out loud when I looked at the title but as I was watching I had a thought. Remember the blood virus plague but that killed entire servers of players and had healers grouping upin cities trying to keep people alive in acts of "heroism" if you will? And also consider that there were players who KNEW they were infected join groups and people from other realms and going into virus free areas simply to spread it. and I do believe a few NGO's even studied the phenomena. It was a very interesting case of player/human behaviour.
This is why i dont care abt the highest levels lmao . Catch me in battlegrounds and LFR
Lol Dude retail wow is not wow. It’s just a degraded version of Guild Wars
I LOVED survival hunter….and now it's a SHIT ASS melee class.
i take issue with a lot, like, a LOT of this video. I'm going to be as respectful as I can.
I don't really think you're qualified to talk about what World of Warcraft wants you to think and feel when you willingly admitted to actively avoiding about 40% of the game. You don't craft, you don't care about the story, you don't seem to really care about questing or exploring the world, and you buy gold to avoid these parts, which makes me think you don't actually like WoW. You probably don't do pet battles or transmog collecting either, from the sound of it. Now, you could argue that these things don't represent the core of the game, but they are all still a part of it, and only engaging in 2 parts of it is why so many people who have only been doing these things for the better part of a decade hate it now. WoW is a BIG fucking game and there's much more to it than tab targeting in dungeons. Why not roleplay? or join transmog contests? if a game out that was just mythic+(a game that does exist and is coming, check out Fellowship on steam, actually serious), I think you would drop WoW in a heartbeat, and that makes me sad. I get enjoying the combat, i like it too, but WoW is so much more than just tab-targeting amd you're doing yourself a disservice by playing a game you only sort of like.
Secondly, your "Virtual Sojourn" describes most, if not all of human interaction in modern society; when you leave a job, when you graduate college, when you graduate high school, when you move across the country, when you break up with someone, it's all over the place. Sometimes things end, and you can either stew in the fact that they're ending, or enjoy the memories them and move on. (Sidenote, what shitter mythic guild were you a part of that only had 1 raiding team?😅)
I also started seriously getting into WoW in SL, and my experience has been very different from your's, mostly because I actually enjoy WoW instead of 1/8th of it. I'm not saying you have to do any of these things to have fun, but I think you would benefit from giving the rest of the game an earnest chance, on it's terms. You already tried it on yours, so, you know what that's like.
Last thing, please disregard the old heads who have been playing the game for the better part of 20 years who say its not fun anymore. No shit, they've been playing it for 20 years.
We are indeed collectively awakening. The infection of the corporation is slowly decaying. The war within isnt just a title. We are in a spiritual war irl too and we are evolving. It is also true that the feeling comes back, unfortunately Blizzards decisions and censorship is something I stay away from. Just like Meta, telling us what to say and think, no thanks.
deep. keep making videos.
WoW is and was the greatest game to ever live .
I perfer RBGs being the funnest part of the game.
Druid (mainly Resto or Balance) being my main I also really like Mage, Shaman, and Warrior.
One thing I disliked about the game is the nearly endless grind you have to do to keep your gear relevant.
I just wanna log on and do RBGs, Arenas, and Duels. NOT grind for new gear .
Wild take, I think they should just add bots to the game for open world. So we can just have our characters grind/farm/lvl alts for us while we sleep.
MoP & WoD were my favorite expacs.
But being the best is having fun! 🤦
Going outside every now and then is healthy for the mind
this is true in all elite levels of competition
This same problem infects all group hierarchies (corporations) because it is a problem with the human heart.
Ultimately it is pride. One sacrifices their humanity to climb a dominance hierarchy. If a group is not a dominance hierarchy, these kinds of people will try to turn it into one so they can be on top.
This is the ethos which rules western corporate/government internal culture. People blame it on capitalism, but capital is merely one medium through which this sin is propagated.
This is why humility has traditionally been regarded as a virtue, it is an antidote to this problem.
Why do you play this game if you do not like it?
I'm a old Warcraft 3 fan of the franchise barley played WOW never hit max level even so these discussions are interesting
There’s nothing else out there like a mythic raid. It makes me sad that blizzard are struggling to get people in mythic raids, as that’s the most special experience wow offers.
My man, it really looks like you got off to a bad start with raiding, even if it doesn't seem that way to you. Starting in Shadowlands definitely didn't help you, but hear me out on this: as someone who has raided heroic/mythic for years, most guilds and interactions within them are simply not like what you're describing. It's entirely possible that it happens your first time, as it did to you. I myself have been barated as a trial, for failing during progress on a bugged boss, where the bug was the actual problem, and once I brought it up, the RL just didn't give a shit. But that happened once in my now 13 years of playing this game. Have I had other negative interactions? Absolutely. Are they the majority by any sort? Fuck no!
About the recruiting thing: This depends on the guild level honestly, but if you want your guild to advance reliably in doing the hardest content consistently, you WILL always be recruiting. However most guilds do not base your spot entirely on performance. I have seen a few good performers be outed because of the fact that they were horrible to play with, simple as. What I'm trying to say is that one of your biggest frustrations in this video, doesn't even exist in several good mythic guilds. In my mind, most bad experiences come from ourselves just sticking to the shit for no reason.
About the "player x is leaving to a better guild", it's a tale as old as time. Unless someone has actively wrecked your guild in their process of ascending, they aren't doing anything wrong. They are pursuing their own goals within the game. You also talked about the people that you stopped talking to just because you got better. I get that, but it isn't "wow culture" that does that, it's you. And it's not necessarily a bad thing. Two years ago I left my online friends behind to progress further. Did I go back and raid with them on my alt and had a great time? Absolutely! Were there also people in that team who I knew but just didn't wanna talk to or play with? Yeah.
At the end of the day it comes down to who YOU want to surround yourself with. Don't fall into the trap of thinking that all progress-minded individuals are complete assholes. Some of them are. Your responsibility to yourself as a gamer is detecting that, and getting the fuck out. There are thousands of mythic guilds. If you were to join 10 of them, there's a chance you would experience 5+ different raid environments, because that's just how humans are: different. I know it all sounds make-believe, but trust me in saying that it absolutely isn't. That was my advice from my 13 years of playing this game. Take it easy and really, if you're still interested in the game and want to keep playing, try and consider my thoughts above. Peace!
If you put the effort you put in world of warcraft in to business you would be rich bassicly. its a game for complete and utter nolifers who move nowere in life.since the game needs you to invest ridiculous ammount of time. its a good and fun game but it takes too much time from peoples lifes.
"people" What's that? I play WoWSPP lol. Gives you the feeling of WoW without the BS of "people" and soon its going to have chatgpt added. once that happens it Will be perfect <3
