It’s being reported that the upcoming World of Warcraft mobile spin-off game has been cancelled. The game had been in development for about 3 years. But yea NetEase and Blizzard could not come to terms with the agreement between the companies. It is also reported that a Pokemon GO-like Warcraft game has also been cancelled at the same time.
The question is if this is doing us a mercy by not releasing a mediocre cash-grab or that this should just be seen as 100+ developers having sadly wasted 3 years of their life.
All of this continues to be very interesting if you consider that NetEase is the developer behind generally considered financially successful Diablo Immortal.

Yea I think we know what the disagreement was… sly chinese thought they could do the majority of the work and back blizz into a corner to add predatory gameplay mechanics and tjey wouldn't be able to say no after investing so much time and money already. Very transparent I'd bet money on it
