  1. I never in a million years would have expected them to REPLACE rbgs as a whole. That's so wild. I personally think it's a great idea going forward for rated PvP but man I do feel bad for the actual RBG community. But let's be honest, that is like 15 people max.

  2. I've been playing the RBG bracket consistently since MoP. The fact that they want to replace 10vs10 with 8vs8 is not good news.

On the one hand, it should revitalize the RBG, but it also trades off two important aspects: control over the setup and over the players.

The statements “that the boosters will finally be gone from the bracket”(statement by many RBG players) are also complete cow crap.

    They make money from it.

So you take away their basis, but they already expected that. There are prime times in the regions. If Primetime is not active, you can still control the queue with targeted Quen. As if this weren't enough, the boosters only have to get the boosted person through by not playing when they are on the opposing team and maintain a certain stability on their own team until the match is over.

At the beginning when the bracket is re-tracked it will be heavier. But they will still be able to take advantage of the mechanics. Blizzard hasn't banned players who violate the rules for years, especially in RBG. map exploits etc. are common practice.
And now they bring in the random factor. Players who are tilted and leave the game when they are behind. Or then troll around. Anyone who has done Soloque knows how it works.

Or then the most important point: metaclasses.

What if you have a Pala tank on your own team and a DH tank or Druid tank on the opposing team, the two strongest tanks currently.

What if the enemy team has two Rogues, and instead of two Rogues you only have classes that have no pets and cannot defend.

I could go on and on about it. Murphy's Law. Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.

I love RBG. Will always love it because it's a great bracket. When things get busier, I'm not someone who gets in the way and likes to play.

But I have my concerns. It sounds to me like Blizzard is making the same mistake again. Just throw everything in quickly, with no rules, no penalties for leaving the match, and you think the players will behave.

  3. unrated should have fill the weekly cap for casuals and thats why blitz is a good choice not only to get xmog but to get conquest gear because lets be real if you play unrated is super slow and when a full honor play against full conquest well the diference feels

  5. The new class reworks and talents and the new story and solo pve stuff are the reasons I'd download the game at launch. But Solo Q RBG is the reason I'll stay long term.

  6. I know lots of people disagree, but I've always found death match pvp to be kind of one dimensional. I find objective based PvP to be so much more interesting and dynamic. BG is what has kept me playing when nothing else in the game felt worth playing.

  7. As a person who loves random BGs and it's really all I do lmfao – yea I'm a loser idc- But I love going into random Bgs and trying super hard with every consume and just blasting people – this news is awesome for me! I can not wait!!

  8. I’m glad they are replacing RBGs. The RBG community had way too many crazy toxic and racist people. When I got my Hero of the Horde it was nuts what would be said in a lot of the groups I joined. Having said that there were also a bunch of chill cool people who I added to my friends list too, but yeah solo RBGs will be way better than the shitshow that is having to form your own groups. Will be sad to not be able to make meme teams like 10 shaman or only warriors and pally’s but great change overall.

  9. Does COD get a new gimmick every time they release a new map? No! PVP is what is fun about PVP. We need more maps and better rewards. Nobody wants to compete in a battle ground with gimmicks. Blizzard are a lost cause honestly. Blizzard cant keep it simple and to make it worse their ideas suck.

  10. I do not want to see 10v10 go away i play regularly with a PVP guild with friends and teamates and to be told its gone is bad for me and many others. I believe it will be similar to Solo que, mid season 30min plus que times, no communication, you cant que up with multiple friends less stratagy and tactics vs just rushing a point and watching bots roam around aimlessly.

  11. To replace RBGs, I don't think that's the move.. like Ven said, there are small teams of people who play, and that's their thing. It also paves a way of just removing things like 3v3 for solo shuffle down the line. It's removing the whole point of meeting people.

  12. I like solo que rbgs a lot and agree that some people get shot in the heart, but I think it's for the overall betterment of the state of the game. Maybe they can all roll over to Cata for RBG's how they used to be? Not ideal but it's something to compromise. This would bring me back to retail pvp and also would get me wanting to go hard at everything in WoW honestly. I would even have a cata main for an rbg team and play retail for solo que. The die hard RBG fans might end up doing more RBGs than before and be happy!

  13. "Make BG's more central to the endgame PVP rewards"
Hopefully the glad mount (just mount, not achi) finally gets actually attainable by a bigger group of players! Like AOTC eg.?

  14. The good thing is, it will funnel rbg players into solo rbg, but bad for organized play which is a niche concept when its with a healty population and u can actually reach 2400 realistically – is the best content wow has out of any game and any content.

Another thing thats slightly annoying but i dont know if thats really a thing is that i imagine people wanting to queue up solo shuffle and solo rbg at the same time, which is kinda weird if you play with a friend.

What if.. they hire venruki and let him implement the aprils fools list… then game fixed i think!

  15. Considering i did very little RBG in DF even though i wanted to, this is a huge W for players like me casual BG pvper , now i can do what i like to do and get endgame rewards, yes theres going to be some problems and toxicity its wow pvp. But atleast everyone has easy access now. Dont have to link your 2200 achieve and pass a pre interview just to RBG.

  16. I love rbgs but I work 5-6 late shifts a week and often spend my days off with my fiancé or parents, being able to queue before work in the morning now and then will be wonderful
