  1. These videos are awesome, but sometimes the interesting parts are really spaced out. Have you thought about doing highlight videos or adding timestamps for those who don't want to see the entire process? I think it would make it easier for more people to appreciate all the cool hidden things you find

  2. The models are added for scale. That's all they are there for, those are just generic belf models.. Usually they use a human male since the whole game is scaled based on them but I guess in this case they decided to use belf as it was more accurate to use for a place where a lot of belfs would be going.

  3. For the belfs: Static creature models are sometimes used as placeholder markers for NPC positions for when the creature placement pass happens in level design (the marker type doesn't necessarily reflect what the final NPC will end up being, someone just decided to use a male belf, and it's easier/better/less clutter to just drop a static test model that's part of the world geometry than it is to create a 'living' NPC in wowedit). You can also think of it as a virtual whiteboard where someone's had an idea for creature placement and likely dotted a few markers around the area and then showed it to other members of the team for feedback.

Static creatures are also used to help ensure that the scale of things is acceptable in world building.

  4. Great video as always Nathan! For anyone that wants some context on what I wrote at 18:46, here's what I was talking about. A couple months ago, ATN hosted a HC event from Teldrassil to Stormwind for players in the Discord to compete in. Jediwarlock won with the time of 39 minutes and 10 seconds. Two days ago, after a couple attempts, me and my friend were able to successfully complete the challenge, along with breaking an ATN Discord record of 37 minutes and 12 seconds. Nathan was considering of hosting another challenge for Truehero, Jedi, me, and my friend to compete in (maybe with some other people) and on that very night that he was recording I tried practicing my run and possibly breaking the record. Hope I helped out!
