In the rift, where all the void elves are, you can get under the floor of the hub too.
For testing if floors are walkable, you can get some toys. The SFC Interceptor, the Darkmoon eye, any tonk like toy, and I think you can get a limited Eye of Kilrogg clicky from Stratholme. Use those and drop down while controlling them safely from your spot above. 😀
