Started in classic made it all the way to WoD and quit. Came back for Legion and stayed all the way until Shadowlands then uninstalled, cancelled and swore I would never set foot in Azeroth again. Then Dragonflight happened and I'm still subbed. Waiting for War Within and actually excited to play. I never, ever, EVER thought I would fall back in love with the game again.,
Aren’t the next three expansions are the end? The third expansion will make you level 100 and then I think they’re either starting over or calling it.
best expension wil always be wrath of the lichking , after that mists of pandaria , new expension screwt up pvp not needing to have pvp gear since its all PVE gear now ( + i quit wow 30-40 mins queue time bg no way gonna wait for that ,even private servers has 3-5 min queue time wich is worth it

Why would they let it end. The games make them billions and its easy pick up. Probably at some point they do some kind of restart with a new arch with new characters a new land.

Eh, Dragonflight delivers on gameplay. It is its saving grace. The story is as abysmal as it was in BFA. I do not compare it to SL because it was worse.
If I could put a graph or an image of a graph demonstrating how story&gameplay were intertwined: to clarify, I will give you an example: Legion. You had story, you had gameplay. Story was not a simple flavour to the gameplay in Legion.
Anyway, it would look like a Sky path. With Legion being very high and you will go very fast down the slope untill you reach DF and the slope starts to end but it does not raise either. It just stays flat and stable.
Legion was an expansion with gameplay problems, sure, but I still prefer it to DF. Why? Class fantasy, cinematics were exciting, not the boring fest that it is now with just talking. Even WoD in spite of being one of the worst expansions it has one of the best cinematics. Frostfire Ridge cinematic, Talador fight with Blackhammer, Thrall vs Garrosh, Veren's self-sacrifice to revert the change to a Void God of a Naaru. The most iconic one in the whole Legion expansion, in spite of the Suramar cinematic being a very good one, "I AM MY SCARS" was peak cinematic and he ended it even more epic "ONLY WE CAN SAVE OURSELVES". It was so exciting. Now, compare all these cinematics to DF. You wonder where has it all gone ? Have they no imagination ? Has the one responsable for cinematics being hired through DEI instead of hiring the best ?

You can literally play 4 versions of it as of now: Retail, Classic, SoD, Cata Classic.
Its was 1, 5 years ago. They keep dividing their fans and keep on releasing mediocre expansions while building on memberberries and and the unnecessarily hated caual playerbase.
