The world soul saga and the last titan is perfectly set up to wrap up World of Warcraft in a grand finale. We will deal with the entire villain roster, the Void Lords, the titans, Light, Sargeras, we will see all the big characters Illidan, Anduin, Thrall and we will deal with the world soul of Azeroth essentially saving the planet, after this no one really from the known lore is left for us to fight.
Luckily Blizzard did say that the saga is only the start of the next 20 years of Warcraft but realistically the way they went all in on this project gives them 2 absolute options depending on player growth. If Warcraft declines they can wrap it up and call it a day, if it grows they can come up with brand new lore for another saga. So could the last titan really be the final wow expansion and what could we expect to see for the future of the game?

How would you see WoW going after the world soul saga? Also get amazing deals with my discount code 'DORON' https://gvo.deals/Doron
You know things are bad when even Doron is even assuming this might happen. Similar to how Asmongold that used to play WoW every day now barely plays it.
But in my opinion, it's not an issue with WoW only, but the entire Western industry. Luckily with Metzen back, and replacement of some other people, WoW can get back on track to at least how it used to be pre-BfA.
If they make it we will pay
I hope so. They either need a new mmo or completely rethink wow from the ground up
Final Expansion? Will we get WoW 2?
Well, they said no, so no it's not.
They should just invest into Classic+.
SoD has been an amazing success so far. Been playing it since launch and would love if it wasn't seasonal.
While thier lore/story telling has its flaws, in the over-all its not that bad. However what they have laid down has presents its limits. I can forsee it reaching a point where it becomes too difficult to go further without it falling apart so to speak. With the following WoW has, its just good business to have some form of "WoW 2" ready when the time comes.
Perhaps they could use some storylines from the past stories for future content, make war of the ancient or something like that
Well if the company Bllizard wasn't such a greedy piece of shit, the game wouldn't be dead now. The game is amazing but it's too late to fix it now.
Well sylvannis can always escape and everybody go nuts lol
I Have A Theory.
My theory is that The Last Titan is the last expansion of the main Warcraft Universe. In my opinion, after dealing with all the villains, Azeroth itself told us that the fabric of reality is beyond repair.
Especially that Azeroth is the last world as one of the Demon in Legion did mention Azeroth is the last world. And judging how everyone is trying to conquer Azeroth, and the skybox in Throne Of The Pantheon that demon could be right.
So Azeroth as the last world, the fabrick of reality breaking apart, and we spend too many resources the universe is beyond repair.
Then we travel to the Sepulcher, and Azeroth user her powers to rewrite reality in order to save it. Sure this could pissed off some fans, but what else is new?
Assuming we actually kill the Void Lords, the only next step I could imagine working is some kind of galactic/universal shift such as introducing the Starcraft universe into WoW or creating a plotline that can last at least 3-5 expansions with super entities that could have rivaled the Void Lords. Maybe instead of killing all the Void Lords, it turns out that all of the Old Gods that have been dealt with so far are just the fallout from a single Void Lord and all of the remaining Void Lords have their variants of Old Gods with their own minions and corrupted beings. That would require some kind of galactic crusade to purge the remaining Void Lords and their corruption which is a stretch but not that far removed from invading Outland, Draenor, and Argus.
If now with the universe at a hold after last titan.
I hope they can focus on real small compact storylines in Azeroth.
The thing I loved the most in WoW was the smaller plots as adventurer saving small time villages. And focus on the races of Azeroth.
And the meanest villain was a dragon everyone at the time saw as a goal few faced.
It's hard to go back to that when we killed thousened of dragons, old gods, demons,Voidlords and other godlike creatures.
But if they rewrite the lore and universe.
Keep it low scale.
It's the world Azeroth and creatures within we love.
No big universal stuff or alternate time travelling.
The further I could draw the line is beyond the dark portal theme/Outland theme as it already happened as far back as WC2.
I would rather see a revamped Azeroth and Outland to current or future timeline than something weird.
Universe cataclysm and starting new era new new story new races that related to the old races and classes would be cool for wow2 , kind of progression of the entire story just thousands of thousands years later.
As long as it remains profitable WoW won't end

I've always found it strange why the wow community is always dealing in absolutism. Let's remember; three expansions is a lot of room to birth new stories, let alone the stories that still exist and could also be expanded on. We also got Chris back! The blizzard team now more than ever deserves a little bit of good faith! Let's just enjoy the fact that times are good as a wow player right now, and looking forward doesn't fill me with uncertainty! Love the work you do Doran!
They are closing arcs, rebuilding areas etc (they are doing everything that they left behind), I think they are matching the points and will announce WoW2 at the final of Last Titan
THE LAST TITAN EXPANSION IS ALREADY DEAD
Technically the entire theme of Warcraft is that the Celestials plant seeds in planets that then grow up to incorporate all flora and fauna of that planet into a new Celestial. Various planetary races figured out that if they engage in endless war designed only so that attrition keeps their numbers below the tipping point, they can freeze the transition until they possibly figure out how to save themselves. So, no – the lore isn't wrapping up because the issue of the Celestials hasn't in any way been resolved. All of these characters you discussed are minor to the overarching plot, they are just pawns being used to create a certain amount of death and attrition. I thought everyone would have figured this out by now, but I guess I was wrong. And for the record, I was playing warcraft before Orcs vs Humans. I may be the last of the original players, and sometimes wish you kids would listen to me AND GET OFF MY LAWN lol
You forgot about return of the lichking
They will keep going till they cant make money anymore
TLDR: no its not and they even confirmed it on last blizzcon.
Gg
Blizzard posted that this is a wrap of of tons of storylines, but not the end. It closes down the first 20 years and preps for the next 20 years.
That's it.
Not end of game and the end of WoW. It's the end of this portion of the world's story.
I don't think it will be the end simply because they've re-written the lore multiple times now.
First it was Titans vs Old Gods, then the old gods get masters as void lords. They changed the purpose of the burning legion, they retconned everything in BfA because it was all the Jailers plans the whole time. Biggest drive and mascot of wow that had years of RTS build up in Arthas, oh yeah it was the jailer. Sargeras and the burning legion? Oh yeah that was also the jailer. We knew Azeroth was a titan and Sargeras wanted to prevent it becoming a tool for the old gods. Sargeras was the end game, he was the ultimate force, he single handedly demolished the pantheon.
Imo, it doesn't matter because they'll just spin things to fit the narrative. See the Jailers last line before dying. There's always "something worse" out there, coming for Azeroth (ofc) and we band together to save Azeroth, just to turn around and get into another war each other.
My problem is them crapping on old, established lore just for the sake of forcing this new bad guy into the story. Yes im still pissed about bfa.
metzen literally said last titan isnt the last expansion bro
(Before watching)
I sincerely doubt it, they won’t let go of such a stable cash cow. The best we can hope for is WOW 2 with updated gameplay, and even that’s a stretch.
The most likely thing is an over year long content drought
Get back to raiding cities and towns pvp style Horde Vs Alliance.
Easy: pull an MK1. Make Thrall work like Liu Kang and BAM, insta "new" lore.
I think the Worldsoul Saga will be the end of World of Warcraft (as we know it). I think it should be that we dismantle whatever cosmic forces that are a threat to Azeroth, leaving factions of these forces continuing to operate all over Azeroth. The Cult of the Damned have sects of pseudo-Scourge strongholds, Twilight Hammer has their bases, The Burning Legion is still functioning as you we would expect Demons to etc. We don’t always need a cosmic existential crisis, just ambitious villains like the ones we fight in dungeons or raids but instead of only encountering them in dungeons or raids, we actually get to quest and explore lore in the open world before we fight them and it doesn’t always have to end with the villain’s death.
Made it six minutes then had to stop. It’s obvious you’re stretching this out to ten minutes just for ten minutes sake and saying the same tagline every minute or so. Do better.
They need a hard reset, just give us a clean wow2 so to speak with a updated engine and a new feel. As much as i love wow… its fucking stale as hell and way to bloated.
I so hope it will finally end!
Yep, I agree with ya! I think WoW is following the FFXIV strategy in that they are ending the Horde vs Alliance & the Orders War storyline! Warcraft 2 could be a Universe/Multiverse exploring MMORPG where we work for Azeroth herself! I still say Azeroth is the Mother of everything in the Warcraft Multiverse! The Orders are her children who took control of her & locked her up! We will see though!!!
While I think it to be unlikely, it would be the perfect opportunity to give the game the "Realm Reborn" treatment. Let's face it, the game is twenty years old and while it has been doing well even with the stumbles its had, a full rework would probably do far more good than harm. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.
The First Ones. That’s definitely the next expansion arc
In the aftermath we lost the last battle and WoW end. Only to be reborn in Unreal Engine 5. That is the best case scenario
I don’t think it‘s necessarily over afterwards. If the game sells good they will make new expansions. Even smaller MMO‘s do. Also they‘ll for sure keep the servers running as long as the revenue exceeds the cost, and they can always reduce Servers if needed. Additionally FF14 also ended it‘s main story. Every build up premise was solved in the last expansion and they are making a brand new expansion now starting a completely new story. WoW could do this with a timeskip, adding a lot of new characters. I mean the best example how there can always be new conflicts and villains is our real world history. Another thing I would personally really like is explore more of Draenor, when we‘re done with Azeroth, cause with WoD we do only see one continent
lol thats funny. like they will stop the cash flow from wow . lets be serious .
After defeating the Titans in the last Worldsoul Saga expansion, Aman'Thul will no longer be able to maintain the foggy barrier that conceals the other half of Azeroth and the entire vast continent of Avaloren.
Azeroth will wake up from its slumber, and life on the planet will begin to flourish at a tremendous pace.
And we, real travelers and explorers, as it used to, will sail on ships in a pirate theme to discover lost and forgotten lands and islands.
🌏🏝
What happens if we lose in last titan and Azeroth is corrupted by light or void or whatever and future expansions are trying to uncorrupt her and deal with the “winning” cosmological force
After Azeroth will awake we open a rift in space and time and go in,for a new adventure on alternative univers from were Titans originate 😀
Technically every expansion could the last WoW expansion. The only reason they weren't was because the game remained relatively popular
*waves hand* Hardcore fan here… and I think you're probably right. They certainly WANT to continue, but this saga will likely be a test of whether they can .
I pray to the lord and the light (reality and fiction) that your wrong and that wow continues for another 50 years, reaching 100 year anniversary, having;more and more lore options, have the horde and alliance explore the cosmos, visit the other cosmilogical worlds, explore the alternate time lines, even help rebuild lost planets
Hope so
