Also PVP needs to be perfectly tuned, and then you will have great pro players ,and they will advertising it hardly, and free.
We get it, you hate run backs.
Legion was indeed good expansion, i enjoy it a lot.
Offering early access and ruining the release day moment for anyone who doesn't pay 90 dollars is hardly respecting the players… so much cute talk about players this and players that, until it gets in the way of the greed. Just have the balls to admit it, and stop the politician speak Blizzard.
Zac. You are not eligible guy to to judge competitive play.
They fucked up in making huge leaps between expansions and it has caught up with them because of player burnout. At least this is one of the reasons i burned out and others ive talked to agree with me.
great break down
Shrinkflation: instead of 16 oz of drink, you get 12 oz of drink in a 16 oz container with 4 oz of air.
Ion is talking again.
WOW a beautiful game who was once . but so trash right now
Mach eigenen Content du kleiner noob anstatt auf videos zu reagieren.
Want people to go back to wow?
Make it so it dont feel like a second job
To your point Asmon, FFXIV has zero run back in raids. Seems to be working just fine.
Agree with boss runbacks. I just returned to WoW retail (have had ZERO interest since classic first launched) and the boss runbacks can be a bit stressful as I am not familiar with the layout, am often ported into LFR at beginning and rest of raid are at or near boss, worried they will pull without me, it is just obnoxious.
This is just my opinion but why have the world quests gotten worse since Legion? I mean in Dragonflight, I have no decent world quests and now have to wait multiple days for them to respawn. I much preferred the tempo of Legion world quests. Made gearing a bit easier even though the gear could have used a slight ilvl bump.
I find the difference between retail and classic to be striking. In classic, it is normal to interact with other random players and is enjoyable for the most part even just emoting one another. In retail, it is like everyone is conditioned to be autistic. Like zero Fing response from other players. When I kill a rare and others are helping, I emote Thank You, cause killing that damn thing as a bear druid takes a long time. The other players in oh I dunno, 100+ "Thank you"s has been…nothing.
Also, in classic, everything you did felt like it has genuine value as you start your pre-bis grind and beyond. Farming MC for bindings and other key pieces when in Naxx is awesome.
Retail, every major patch makes the previous content and currency irrelevant. The gameplay is nothing more than a formula akin to a slot machine. Hey, some like slot machines! That is ok. I am just pointing out the interesting differences. My complaint is that I cannot play my "slot machine" because I have to wait a few days for world quests to reset…lame.
This is the same shit that happened with Dragonflight. They come out and say they'll fix all these things, that are really superficial, as the core game gating loop is intact. You know, the one making you sub.
Of course preach and ion don’t touch on the obviously bad systems that actually make people quit the game like low cap crests, rotting currencies like Flightstones, and a dead economy. OF COURSE they don’t bring up the actual gameplay reasons people leave. Nobody left the game because they didn’t get warbands yet 🙄
Keys should deplete because majority players put up keys they have no business doing, wasting 4 other people’s time, consumables and energy they could be doing a gamer’s key. Best case scenario those other people give the key holder a frustrating unpaid carry.
This is MAJORITY players putting up keys they have no business doing. Keys need to continue to deplete- it’s the last bastion of hope for the game’s integrity.
please reverse all mage changes and ill come back
If you always spawned in front of the boss after a wipe. There would be no reason to bring a warlock. I mean who needs Cookies, Gate, Boss debuffs, portable summoning stone and a very tanky ranged in the raid group? lol It's been this way for so long –The run back–. I just quit getting mad about it, that was 6-7+ years ago now. I do think that Deathknights should have something like the Soul Stone though. It honestly sounds like a spell a dk would have. You can control undead and summon an army and Resurrect during combat. Would it be a stretch to say a DK could bring forth an ally after death as well. We have been on the chopping block forever because you pretty much only bring DKs for grips and the niche fights you can use AMZ. Last season was nice with our DPS being so high, but if DK's in the middle somewhere why bring them? I really do think Death Knights should get at least Soul Stone from warlocks to give them a reason you need one. It wont hurt needing a warlock even a little.
Do something like the FF14 "weekly quest+raid book" – each player is assigned 16 random instances from ANY expansion. You get synced down and kill the boss. It keeps it fresh, uses old content, helps new players level and gain experience. Such a good system!
i agree on BFA being poop and all i did the entire expanson was pvp and nothing else
It's frustrating how they THINK they understood what players want and use words to make players think that they are understood and keep repeating misinterpretation mistakes over and over thoughout time.
Would you stop with the running back trigger, if you spawn close to the boss people would revive and run back as part of the tactics, throwing bodies is not a good challenging tactic. Dying alone is not the same as dying as a raid. Running back means you all have to re-group and run back. Or leave everyone stuck in death until mob aggro runs out after the last person.
asmon always talks about how good dragonflight supposedly is but he never plays it.
HMMMMMMMMM
I hated BFA bc the faction war made no sense, I could not suspend my disbelief and accept the premise of the expansion and what was happening in-game. Then I was disappointed when we DIDN'T EVEN ACTUALLY GET A FACTION WAR.
Like, ok, the setup for the 4th war was shit, but ok, we are doing this, it's a faction war, it is what it is, they are doing it so may as well just accept it. Then the 4th war lasted all of pre-patch and 1 warfront and it was over.
Pre-Patch gave us the war of thorns, the burning of Teldrassil and the battle at Undercity. It was actual Faction war stuff (even though it was terribly written and hard to swallow)
The opening patch of BFA was us getting to know our new allies and leveling, addressing threats of said new allies and lands, no real Horde vs Alliance Faction war.
Then we had 8.1, which gave us the battle for Darkshore as a Warfront which was great, an actual instanced battle between Horde and Allience.
That was it. Prepatch and 1 warfront in 8.1. (I'm not counting Arathi warfront, it didnt make any sense why we were fighting there, It was just easy content from a development perspective)
Then BFA pivoted away from a faction war and we got 8.2 fighting the Naga and 8.3 Fighting an Old god. Both of those things could have been expansions by themselves, but we got them shoved into 1 patch.
They should have commited to an ACTUAL faction war expansion. 8.2 should have given us a 3rd warfront with world changing results. 8.3 should have given us a 4th warfront and a raid that was faction war focused that had huge implications for the state of the horde and the alliance. We needed an actual story with a beginning, middle and end.
The problem with this is that the faction war was a bad Idea from the beginning and it would have just been a SoO repeat. So they had to shift away from faction war. but then the answer for that was to NOT START ONE IN THE FIRST PLACE!
Absolute monkeys.
Can we lose the furries and friendship shit?
Good on them if they're really going to go thru with the changes they talked about. I'd love to see WoW live on for a lot more years.
Yeah I hate the "run backs" … I left wow when they took away the paladins ability to protect one person in the raid when a wipe was called by the raid leader … I would shield a healer with res for instance … RUN BACKS were the worst ever and it was NOT necessary… hated it – Totally agree with you
– remove stupid affixes
When do we start realizing that maybe WoW has been shit for the past 5 years because of Ion?
Like how does this guy keep getting a pass?
You simply have to run back to the boss to waste your subscription time. It's that easy. No other game has this because WoW is the last game which still requires an active subscription to even play it.
WoW has done so many "180"s by now – it should be legally classified as helicopter blades.
Copium addicts will never learn.
"We gave the people what they want" Except the people don't know what they want…..Everyone quit in DF after the devs finally listened to the people. This game is not an MMO in the slightest anymore. Might as well just turn it into COD team death match and load into the raid with full gear as is, why go through the trouble of having 70 meaningless/empty levels before you get to the content? Maybe because grinding is a large part of what makes an MMO fun???
