I'm glad you said that about BfA. I didn't hate it. The azerite gear issues must have gone right over my head as I never had any problems from them. Nazjatar was sick. Bee mount was sick. Some of the zone stories were cool. As a gnome lover, Mechagon was really cool. Art was good. Some of the music was good. Some of the dungeons were pretty cool. It was nice to see three different main stories focused around women. Island expeditions and the big assault things in darkshore I didn't care for at all, plus 8.3 was absolutely a bust and I didn't like dark visions but everything pre-8.3 I really enjoyed besides the overarching story. It wasn't the best expansion but I sure played a lot of it so I must have enjoyed it quite a bit.
I'm glad it's the last patch. The opening stuff with Icecrown was great. The rest…. not so great lol.
Looking forward to 10.0
As a DK main, I've always dreamed about walking on water
Haven’t played since like one month in bfa, same experience in legion, and i skipped all of wod. I’m playing ff14 and other games. Until blizzard fires kotick and changes the work culture they can get bent
I feel like WoW's ultimate doom will be because they run out of ways to raise the stakes. It started with demons invading Azeroth and now it's a death god trying to reshape the universe.
The moment you take a fantasy setting and try to make NA politics and sensitivity the only focus point of every culture in it then you've officially killed your world.
Having fun in pvp – made a community of positive ally pvp players and it’s fun – lots of rbgs – but, sad to say, NOT invested in the fantasy story now as I have been earlier… but maybe it will come back 🙂
Always like hearing your opinion on shit Crendor
This patch looks cool and I hope to see WAY more, and I hope its a zone that I spend more than 20 minutes a day in with way more interesting shit to do than Korthia. I am really mad though that Taza'Vesh is just now being brought into the M+ dungeon rotation and they are being split into 2 dungeons….
another ass-tastic patch update
I jumped the WoW ship and started playing FF14 a few weeks before everyone else did (kinda feel like a trend setter =P ) and haven't looked back since. Had a lot of fun in WoW but they started to slowly kill it years ago and now it's just beating a dead horse.
God that patch trailer was embarrassing.
The story is an absolute mess and they talk in complete circles about absolutely nothing.
The vibes the trailer and the team gave off told me all I need to know.
So glad I quit wow years ago, that trailer really cemented it for me.
Walkable water: Shamans & Death Knights say hello.
Floating rocks: Outland says hi!
Learning a Alien Robot language: "we've locked it to 1 letter/week".
i think the main problem is that most of us are/were playing this game for years and everything new that comes out at this point is the same old. We've got older and already seen and done everything, hard to get excited over anything
I'm calling it. They planned to pull another WoD even before the current situation in Blizz.
Considering how Legion was received, it's not really surprising. There is even a rumor that the last 2 expansions were a test to see how the players will tolerate the content or lack thereof
I'm glad their modus operandi is getting out of Shadowlands asap. With the idea of any 9.3 patch getting axed, I hope we get a new expansion before 2023.
9.2 looks beautiful and ok. It’s a mystery at least but I just want 10.0. Hopefully it’s the dragon isle.
Shadowlands bored me enough to not even bother finishing up the first run through the zones and the crap going on at ABK is enough to keep me from subbing for BCC. 🙁
I raided a bit in 9.1, got half way through the tier, but had zero desire to prog Sylvanas because it's a 15 minute fight so I stopped playing WoW for a bit. But 9.2 has me excited again, with the double legendaries and final raid tier, I hope it'll be good and they learn from their mistakes with SoD. I really just want an Azeroth refresh and the removal of all these borrowed power systems. Blizzard create new systems and then spend the whole expansion fixing them. Covenants are only now good features. They need to just stop innovating and go back to what works. Tier sets and class design independent from the whole Heart of Azeroth / Covenants / Legendaries philosophy that's made early patches feel trash to play.
Playing the Witcher 3 again, such a good game. Can't wait for the update for that game.
The green screen is being shitty because the new patch is also shitty
How's your guild wars 2 experience been so far? You haven't mentioned it much since the first video or two about it.
Haven't played WoW for months and this doesn't seem enticing enough to bring me back. Side note though, I really don't like how peoples reactions are like 30 min – 1 hour or more for this patch info. You are my go to for WoW stuff because you give the basics and keep it short. Thank you Crendor!
I realistically haven't played WoW for about 10 years. I keep wanting it to re-entice me. I did get into Classic about a year ago and leveled intently to 60, but then family moved in with me for about a month so I put it on hold and never got back into it.
So underwhelming. And they needed to really impress with this patch in order to undo any of the damage that’s been done over the past few years. I officially do not care anymore. WoW is dead to me.
People still play this game?
we are gonna learn a musical/runic language to comunicate with robit people and nothing about learning common or orcish what ever your oposing factiin is
Idk, the whole "learning the language" thing sounds pretty cool, it is kinda weird that we go everywhere in the universe (and even other universes) and everybody just speaks english, if you think about it LOL. That's about all I got though, I still have a sub from playing classic so I might go in there and play through the zone just to see the stuff, but I doubt I'll ever get invested into new wow content again. Time will tell.
Left WoW after the classic was killed by TBC …no plans to return until they do something new.
I’ve stopped playing wow after the “we’re not gonna turn sylvanus into a bad guy” promise was broke almost instantly
My opinion is also "Eeh".
Haven't played since sub ran out in Sept. Looks like I won't be for a while. Thought about messing around in GW2.
Ever since the start of BFA it’s been so hard for me to care about wow however I kept going until shadowlands but by then I lost so much interest that I didn’t even finish the leveling zones, I hit max level and quit without even seeing the vampire looking zone
I play WoW daily, for as many hours as I possibly can because, unlike so many others, I can find things to do that I want to do. I'm completing several achieves, and since Islands became soloable I've spent countless hours farming Islands. I love doing dailies and seeing how much of, well, everything I can collect. My only gripe is I can't spend valor, because I don't do current dungeons or raids (I hate the gogogogo M+ mentality to the point where I'm happy soloing older stuff at my own pace). Yeah, it puts me a bit behind in the story and gear and whatever, but I don't care because I'm having fun.
Blizzard: "With Cataclysm we will evolve the world pass Lich King and show the awakening of Deathwing"
Players: "Sick we will have an evolving world, like a MMO is suppose to!"
12 years later
Blizzard: "Let's put new zone like we always do"
Players: "… FFXIV is fun"
Azeroth: "World is still burning from Deathwing awakening"
I got CE first tier of Castle Nathria and it was a nightmare, the player retention, the awful bosses and their bugs, the soulbinds all of it. I quit as soon as i got CE and moved on to other games then eventually TBC, i recently decided to check out 9.1.5 and while its not awful i had a hard time wanting to stay. I have a group of friend who pushes M+ and I got to talk with them about joining them in the push again like we did the first season and its disgusting the amount of work you have to put in, and its not even the renown thats the issue. You have to farm the raid to get domination gear and then the gems to socket the gear, you have to farm torghast to get your upgraded leggo (you can non stop farm to get as many soul cinders as you wish now) and torghast is much harder, and with torghast you have the talent system they added with it, just like visions. Got to farm Korthia and Korthia dailies in order to get the rep to buy conduit upgrades and socket upgrades, something we did in the first patch and after i got it done i NEVER went back to the maw. All of these new things as well as getting caught up in ilvl, me being 228 last patch helped a TON but its exhausting, I love mythic plus and i love the top end raiding in this game but the non stop systems are awful. I doubt i will return to 9.2 unless they drop the shitty regrinds for being able to put sockets on gear and getting max level conduits. I pray that 10.0 will get back to the roots, the simplicity. I 100% agree we need some form of borrowed power in order to keep things from being stale xpac to xpac, but make it super simple we don't need 40 complex systems in order to have fun in this game, I don't know about most but I can do M+ with my friends all day long I love it. I love raiding when the bosses aren't garbage. The game has potential to be good, in any xpac they have done, its like 1-3 things they have to change in order to make it better and its like they refuse to. 9.2 needs something to bring people back, 10.0 needs BIG changes to keep people.
Crendor not knowing the name of DDR made my morning.
Can’t bring myself to play any Blizzard games until they make amends concerning all the recent controversies.
I really dont understand why people are acting like this is the first time Blizzard decided to end an xpac the way they are finishing Shadowlands. They did the EXACT same thing with Warlords of Draenor where they gave us crappy patches while focusing on the new expansion and we ended up getting Legion. Devs have been doing a really crappy work but maybe this is what they needed to maybe wake up.
My favorite comment on the 9.2 reveal: "Blizzard's found a way to time gate quest text!"
I stopped playing wow when my raiding guild since mists called it quits in March. I'll come back maybe for a new expansion but the only thing that's kept my interest in wow was raiding.
I could join a new raiding guild but I play Alliance, it was lucky my guild managed to hold onto 20 members for that long in the first place.
I'm all up into FF14, and have been for a couple of years. Once Endwalker drops and I get my fill on fantasy, I'll hop back over to SWTOR to catch up on what I've missed of the story over the last couple of years.
WoW is a smoldering hulk. It's not even a dumpster fire anymore. It's burned out.
The "language" is just another type of time-gating mechanic; same basic trick they've used since Silithus, really. They'll probably be dailies or some kind of server-wide effort to "decipher" the language.
It sounds like they're combining 9.2 and what would probably have been what they planned for 9.3 into one patch. When you consider everything that's happened this past year, from the massive delays in getting 9.1 released and the lawsuits and walk-outs, this sounds like Blizzard is hurting more than we thought. They basically dropping an entire content patch minus the most critical bits and that's not a good sign. I wonder if they're so short-handed that they've decided to just shift most of their teams to the next expansion and hope for the best.
Also, the video they released with this made me laugh, and not in a happy or positive way. Who are they trying to fool with that "this will wrap up Warcraft III's story" when the vast majority of the characters involved in Shadowlands weren't part of that. If they meant Sylvanus' story, then okay; you'll still be reconning the shit out of everything again. But they should have just said that.
lmao I can only pity people still giving any money to activision-blizzard. I just play on elysium for my vanilla WoW fix now and then, I'd advise moving on from MMORPGs. They are for teenagers with too much time.
Shadowlands can be described as a shitty fan fiction that was used to milk the already stupid shit character that Sylvannis is. They fucked up. I havent played it I see the cinematics . The elune is reveal was poorly done . The fact that tyrande didnt get to kill Sylvannis is bullshit.
Anduin being forced into a death knight was the most shitty fan fiction ever. And completely undeserved. Fuck the writers and fuck the people we thought this was good.
