  1. Ok so another half assed implementation by Activision and experience doesn't match their marketing – gotcha. Just as lazy as the Forsaken being able to wear pristine clothing but then still have the cape show a tear.

  2. I agree that ray tracing is not something the WoW needs, especially with their old graphic engine. I am not saying this as a drawback, WoW has its personal character, when you see a screenshot from WoW on the internet you recognize it from miles. I believe Blizzard/Activision knows that as well but due to partnership/funding/strategy/good relationships with Nvidia they had to do something by their side to promote their Ray Tracing Graphic cards and that's all of it in my opinion.

  3. I'm hoping Blizzard implement RTX more properly further into SL, but I suspect if it ever happens it might not be until a future expansion. As it stands it's just like some of the higher settings already in the game that barely do anything but cause reasonable performance hits.

  5. Wow is using the same engine from 1999, so it's normal we see no differences and great evolutions, and dont blame blizard too much ( yeah they deserve, but the map is SOOOO huge, juste imagine remaking every thing in a new engine … )

  6. For WoW maybe it's not worth it, but for other titles, its really noticeable. Also, i'm using a RTX 3080 on 1440p, and averaging 88-110 fps with ray tracing on with max sets in open world, with cities around 80-90fps. Raids i'm much higher.

  7. Honestly i wish they could somehow implement action combat in this game, id gladly jump in this game, only thing holding me back is the auto attack in this game 🙁

  8. So lose half your FPS for ZERO gain, got it… – I was exited about this, but this is sooooo ridiculous… We're on the second gen of RTX cards and THIS is what it looks like? Half FPS, stuttering (I had it too…) and no difference unless you take 2 screenshots and do a "where is waldo"-type scene…
