  1. Personally the original creativity and pure ingenuity of vanilla will always put it above its following xpacs. While I do acknowledge panda wasn't a bad xpac by any means like many remember it to be. In many ways it was a sluggish grind with a very boring storyline that nobody really gave a shit about, Pvp was also monstrously unbalanced for a large majority of the xpac, cross realms were a nightmare early on and if I recall correctly it had a severe lack of end game dungeons for awhile as well. However I would say casual content wise no xpac has ever come close to panda, even its replayability to this day for mounts and cosmetics has a super active community compared to many of its contending xpacs. Overall its B+ or A – but I would without hesitation say wrath and vanilla were both superior in almost every way besides perhaps raid tiers.

  2. Panda Monk Carrot-Stew Jack Black Beer Elemental Ooker-in-da-Dooker MoP cannot be the best. You made a good argument for it to keep it out of the bottom tier, but ultimately it feels so "Not Warcraft" that something that isn't Warcraft can't be the best expansion for a game called Warcraft. lol. Wake me up when Legion Classic hits servers though.

  3. I feel like wow is stuck in a weird place were high end people want the raids to become harder but as we are seeing with SOM raids and mythic raiding, even TBC raids had to get nerfed. most of the player base does not want hard raids we want raids we can get in clear in 4 hours and get back to the rest of the game.

  4. Saying that shadowlands Is not the worst Atm Is pure bullshit… After the release of 9.2 we Will know if Will go to the 1 from last spot where WoD Is now. Covenant restriction "the only system problem" that Got fixed? I'm laughing in shards of domination, the worst system ever added.

  5. It's certainly my PoV, mainly because I missed most of TBC with army and my eventual injury that prevented me from playing. But I've raided in every iteration of WoW, granted WoD I also missed for the most part. In any case my ranking currently is Shadowlands<WoD<BFA<Legion<Cata<TBC<WotLK<Vanilla<MoP.

Now I do think it's because my priorities have changed, I can't raid 30+ hours a week anymore, hence I miss all the joyment of progress and hence I rate Shadowlands low, although the fights have been quite good if I were to be pushing still. Maybe I should rank BFA below WoD as well, I found enjoyment in WoD and had fun for the content it had. It just didn't have much of it. Then look at BFA, shitloads of content, but most of it was mediocre. And I didn't have feel that I had fun. I do like grinding type of gameplay, but since Legion really they've introduced grindy mechanics and shift the goal post in each major patch. It's the same shit you have to grind.

In 9.2 it seems, they are breaking the mold a bit, that they've been using since Legion. And my god it's time. But I honestly cannot rank Shadowlands based on 9.2 as we haven't gotten it yet. And for me that means I honestly have to look at what we got. Horrible systems that prevented us to have fun and you couldn't switch specs, because covenant powers. We had a really good raid, that was soured by generals bugs, but credit where it's due, it was a good raid. But we had to wait too long for 9.1 and when we got it, we got one of the easiest overall raids in a long time. And surprise, the cadence of patches didn't improve. Shadowlands launched in 2020 and we are in 2021 and we've gotten one major patch. That is horrible. Again 9.2 seems nice, just it should've launched 3 months ago.

Maybe am salty and have changed too much to enjoy WoW anymore. From what I've heard FF seems to have a lot of things I'm missing in WoW. Mainly the community aspect of the game. And it sandboxy, which frankly WoW hasn't been for a long time. I don't remember WoD well anymore, but ever since Legion, everyone has been pigeon holed into the same type of rat race. Basically you have 2 options RP or run in the hamster wheel they've created for us this time.

  6. MoP is the top for me then Legion then Wrath. MoP is just the highlight of WoW raiding. Legion I liked it better when the legendaries were random, it made you play with lego that wasn't optimal if you got a bad one and it was still good, it encouraged you out of your comfort zone and it felt really good when you finally did get something you wanted. I don't think wrath really deserves three i just had the most fun because of what point of my life i was in and the spec finally stop being awful.

  7. MOP 100%, as someone who primarily PVE'd class tuning and balancing was top notch. The PvE content also weaved right into the main story arc of the zone and the expansion, overall it was my favorite expansion. I also really enjoyed the art style of that patch with a mix of various Asian cultural art styles. The story for MOP was ok at best but it kept me engaged enough to play. I haven't pvp'd ever but I do hear that class balancing in MOP was the best as well.

  8. From vanilla days to MoP it was my last expansion. In the beginning of the pandemic, i came back at the end of BFA and to play Shadowlands. To me thus far SL has been fun. Nothing fancy, nothing risky just simple. Keep in mind guys this expansion was built fully remote thanks to the pandemic. The challenges alone that came from that i could only imagine. Not to mention all the PR crap they are facing now too. WoD was the first game after Activision bought Blizzard. It was a new Era for WoW and sadly didnt start the way they wanted.
