As I was questing in Northrend I came across one of the most bizarre and obscure rewards you can obtain by completing a quest. You can learn something new about World of Warcraft every day! 🙂
Video Footage:
– Blizzard Entertainment’s World of Warcraft (2004-)
Background Music:
– “Jungle Preparation II” from the Kingdom Rush Frontiers OST
Outro Music:

Kingdom Rush music ♥️
This is pretty cool, and also really unfortunate for a hypothetical player who just didn’t do the quest because they didn’t read the text and didn’t want to bother with it lol
Also I don’t think there’s another quest where the only reward is a flight path. As you mentioned, phase changes have been used in the past and in some cases that moves you to a phase with new flight paths, but I don’t think any of those bring just the flight master and not multiple new vendors and quest NPCs as part of a camp or outpost or something
Hi Jedi!
You're right, this is really cool and unique! Also, I wanted to congratulate your setup and delivery. You did an excellent job building the curiosity and suspense!
Welcome back!
Welcome back!
Engrossing content and great narration, how can we not stick with you.
I had no idea 🤔☺️
You are a different kind of content creator, you know that? I have never seen someone so unapologetically honest about their YouTube philosophy and why they make videos. It’s inspiring, seriously.
No gimmicks, no trying to game the system or chase clout. Just a guy talking about stuff he thinks is cool. As someone with really niche interests it makes me feel better and honestly recognized. Keep doing what you do and I hope you blow up like crazy.
You might be surprised to unlock a few more flight points in Icecrown… 😉
NOTE: Another thing I noticed while reviewing the footage is that completing the quest actually caused "New flight path discovered!" to appear even before I talked with the Flying Machine NPC which I think shows how deliberate and unique this quest is compared to some of the other "phase change" quests which change the overall landscape of a campsite/outpost/etc. 🙂
In classic Wrath i know u need to complete the Argent Vanguard quests to get the phase around Crusaders Pinnacle and that has a flight point . Though its a different phase so that may not count . As far as regular wow im sure there may be other quest lines that move you into a new phase that allows access to a flight master but i cant come up with any off hand. These may not count as they are not just a reward for a quest
I was just in Sholazar today in retail, and I even went to the encampment (to get the fantastic “Fetch” spell for my new hunter) and noticed that though I have the Northrend flight point teaching toy, I didn’t have the flight point at Nesingwary’s camp. Now I wish I’d checked to see if this is still the same way to unlock it. Probably?
How do you record these slow movements through the zone?
welcome back
Actually it happened in icecrown, as you had to do the quests to unlock the fp moving further in icecrown helping Tyrion at the Adrent vanguard
banger vid, per usual
I really love the kinds of quests that leave a lasting impact in a zone. A new flightpath, a new vendor, a hostile territory becoming occupied by friendly npc's etc – it's a reward in itself getting access to these things, even if the player was meant to do it in their questing journey anyway.
There is also something worthy to note with reputation npc's in TBC and Wrath and that is, as your reputation goes from Honoured to Exalted the guards and npc's for these factions will either bow, salute you or comment on you if you pass them or hang around them long enough. I loved that aspect to reputation grinds as it was an acknowledgement of you progressing your standing with a faction beyond a loot reward.
Sadly they seemed to remove this from Cata onwards which is a great shame to players like msyelf who enjoyed it.
Nice
so glad that, this is not yet another video about wow HC. Thank you, Very interesting!
no idea why I got this recommended, never had a video that stretched a 20second content that hard, that's a never recommend this channel again for me
Didn't know that! Pretty cool. Still love your videos!
Sorry but how exactly is this rare??
I loved these quests
I felt the same way about the Argent Crusade encampment in Icecrown that unlocks after a quest chain. Maybe not in the same category as this one since you are repairing the FP itself, but still felt cool to have opened up a flight path for my main to use if I didn't do the quest chain on my alts.
Man still remember running against the BG gate spamming "Buff" in the chat, best times.
Classic was not the same, all of my mates did not play it or rushed like insane so om quit after 3 levels.
Love your channel. But this video is just so bad.
Dragonflight has a questline where you slowly uncover more and more parts of an ancient teleportation system all across the continent
welcome back
There's a flight path up near Vermillion Redoubt in Twilight Highlands that doesn't appear until you help out Alexstraza with her quest chain, but I don't remember if that would qualify to answer your question about retail having more than just this one FP quest.
I know of only the one town in the Drustvar zone that you have to quest to unlock it. They are being attacked by ravens or something? But thats a whole phase change for the town after you finish it i think.
I love your content 😊
