  1. I have every character in the game and I wasn't going to buy this expansion but a friend bought it for me so now I am only going to play the super heroes of the week the entire expansion. Sick to death of trying to stick to a class in a game where knowing a specific class means nothing when versing a brand new player on the hero class

  2. It’s fun and a very good option for casual players to get some rated PvP experience – glad to have more attention for PvP players always good to get more for your genre

  3. I like it but man this is rated hell, once you break 1700, it's -10 +11 and there is nothing you can do, they should rethink the way we earn rating. There are many factors when it comes to the winning conditions and it's not just the player skills or anything you can do for the matter. If you get in a lobby where people are a bit undergeared especially the healers you instantly lose. I had a 5 lobbies in a row with the same healer, the guy was really good, he did his best and knew tactics from rated bgs but he was 1.3M we ended up losing 4/5 and the only reason we won the 5 was because we had a broken demon hunter that just zoomed the flag 3 times.

It's cool, but i don't think the rating system works in this mode, too many outside factors contributing to a win, impossible to co ordinate with team mates and there are these special flakes that would rather stand and push damage instead of focusing damage on priority targets such as healers and be like noobs look at me 60m damage you guys suck at 20-35m. And when you look at the recount 80% is dot damage spread across the entire team, zero damage on the healers or the fc.

  4. I'll bite and play devil's advocate. Blitz will be fun and active for 1 season because it's the new thing, then popularity will drop off of a cliff. Imbalanced class design, bad maps, and limited team strategy/communication (since it's not premade teams) will hold it back. It trades gameplay quality for accessibility/instant gratification, similar to shuffle.

This will also negatively impact the current 10v10 RBG bracket and make it less active.

If Blizzard instead focused on improving rated battlegrounds, that would be better for PvP in the long run. Then again, maybe their strategy for improving PvP popularity is creating all of these shiny new random game modes (shuffle/plunderstorm/blitz) until WoW runs its course. That's an option too I guess, but soon we'll have so many different game modes that it will get silly.

  5. My only issue with blitz is the duo queue aspect. I understand the point of getting healers interested, but once you start to climb rating having duo queues on your team will be a massive advantage. Will end up being whichever team has the duos will win. Defeats the purpose of a solo queue RBG to me.

  6. Cap times are too fast. Some classes have short CCs (e. g. warriors) while other's have long CCs (mages, rogues, paladins etc.), making these classes way more valuable in this mode since they can cap bases while for other classes it's impossible to cap or defend. Cap times for bases have to be increased roughly 2 seconds and it would be fine. E. g. 1 CC into cap cheese is quite common. It's not about fighting in BGs, it's who can best ninja bases with their class-based long CCs. It's funny, because you might think that fighting for bases in a battleground would be a thing, but it's not. It's who brings the class that can ninja cap a base within 1 CC.

To be clear, when players were asking for solo queue RBGS, this game mode has nothing to do with actual RBGs as you know them now. If you like RBGs with it's current rule-set, this mode plays completely different and you, as a player, have to play completely different.

  7. I'm having a hard time understanding the meta strategies in blitz, but it's definitely fun and gives you more content to play between SS queues.

Biggest issue I've been having so far is the RNG of team-mates. As a healer who almost always tops charts, it does nothing when the top 4 damage dealers are on the other team (usually ele shaman :)) But that SHOULD balance itself out more in TWW I'd imagine, right now things are set-up to be balanced at level 80 so there are outliers that will just decimate a lobby. Fun though!

  8. This is what modern WoW PvP should be. Arena's are lame, no offensive… They create a need to every class to have every tool which lessens class identity. If only they could figure out a way to bring back World PvP, the game would be closer to being a true RPG again.

  9. Its a shame they are so conversative with rewards. We need an alternative glad mount to solo queue pvp higher ranks. 3s is a pain in the ass to play and find people to play with.
Another point, RBGs will be dead with this new mode, so it should give somethin' else than mog or title.

  10. False advertisement. It is very one sided. you either play alliance or dont play at all. the DF showed that this mode is going to fail. ppl never do objectives

  11. Question for you veterans, where should a proper green new pvp’er start? I try to learn but I jump into an arena and honestly die within like 30 seconds feeling like I have no idea what’s going on🤣

  12. idk ive only had like… a couple "bad" shuffle games. most of them are pretty close or the winner isn't clear until about halfway through. but most of them never feel like a blowout which is awesome.

  13. I imagine it will be good on the high or low end, middle is pretty toxic. The duo queue aspect is what chased me away, the advantage they give is taken from the other healers rather than dps so if you want to be competitive as a healer you have to duo queue. Why are they trying to force duo queue on me? Is it just for carries? Regular BGs have gotten better, epics are trash still due to the rampant cheating Blizzard refuses to fix. There's a reason they keep the pvp developer's identity secret.

  14. Thanks for sharing this! Lol – as a Priest healer, I freaking HATE mages in bgs (argh, bane of my existence). Can't wait so hyped for Blitz. I love when people ping and give warnings, I believe it helps the game. For some odd reason, a lot of folks are bothered by it.
