Nathanos was initially set up to have a really big role in the Shadowlands seeing that he got an entire cinematic at the start of the expansion as we had seen his entire duel with Tyrande. However Shadowlands is over, 9.2.5 was released and there are still no signs of him.

This is just one of the various mysteries and loose ends of the Shadowlands, so in this one I wanted to cover 10 other, such as who even really was the Jailer, what will now happen to Maw and Torghast, what was the relationship with the Lich King amongst many other questions.

All of the footage used in the video is copyrighted by Blizzard Entertainment unless stated otherwise. Due to images being shared across various sites it is quite difficult to find who the original artists are. If I used your work I’d be more than happy to give you full credit, just contact me at [email protected]

  2. I actually like the fact that Nathanos is set in BfA to be the most important follower of Sylvanas and yet he is killed right in the beginning of Shadowlands and is not seen later on. It's quite obvious he went straight to the Maw like other unfortunate souls to be used as fuel by the Jailer. It shows how Jailer actually didn't care for Sylvanas and used her as his pawn, and added a lot of drama to this Tyrande vs. Sylvanas scene. I think it was the very first one something within Sylvanas broke and she started to rethink her alliance with the Jailer more seriously.

  3. what about arthas it is unknown if arthas is still out there somewhere in the maw since last remnant and flicker of arthas' soul was part of his soul and it is unknown if his soul was split when he carried frostmourne and since it was zovaal who was responsible for turning manipulated and corrupting arthas evil through the blade and the helm.

  4. I never felt that they were inside the blade.

It felt more like an inner conversation where he was thinking of what they’d say to him. Or at the most dramatic their spirits in the shadowlands finding him momentarily.

  5. I believe we will learn something the Dragon Isles expac as Dragons were one of them early denizens of Azeroth. We might learn more about the elementals, Titans and the forge.

  6. Daddy D is going to take over his Burning Crusade…:) I love that idea. I also like the idea that Sargeras, the redeemed. He finds the other half of his sword to make the mega sword we have all seen in the chronicles…and he can only find it when he becomes "worthy" again…And with this mega death sword, he will reclaim what he helped unleash…I envision a epic battle between Daddy D and Sargeras on a cosmic level…

Oh and Illidan becomes evil again when Daddy D corrupts him.

Oh and I believe that Daddy D's motivation in SL is this: The enemy of my enemy is my friend. He was going to backstab Zovaal at some point…and if Zovaal was successful in his endeavors, it probably helped in Daddy D's plans….

But all of this hinges on how the story goes and ends in Dragonflight. so ./shrug

  7. Varian and Varok noth died holding Shalamayne. Shalamayne color change based on who is holding powering it (it was red for both Varian and Varok which is the color for warrior, it is white for Anduin as he is a priest), I assume that Shalamayne use the soul of the person to power it and in a way capturing the essence of the soul of the person who wield it.

  8. I'm curious as what they plan on doing with all the figures of Death that are still alive because they had to of done it for a reason…they could of just killed em off like Devos. Is Mueh'zala just Bwonsamedi's plaything now? Why didn't Primus just delete Helya?

  9. Can't wait for the Jailer book. Or the Denathrius book. /jk
About Nathanos. We visited old content maps in actual quest before. So when we get Sylv back, we should find him with her, because she'll refuse to leave before finding him. We can have a nice "I found you" cinematic with full of emotions, and Nathanos can tell us about his fully deserved suffering then we can relocate him to revendreth to serve as an afterlife battery for eternity. Happy ending.

  10. I think they were wise to scrap any Storyline with Nathanos… i know he was a meme character Horde side in Vanilla, but since he cropped back up in Legion, he's just been a massive unlikable asshole.

  11. I still feel like Brokers should be an allied race. Maybe even serving like a (if not the only) positive legacy on Shadowlands, besides of course including some lore/conflict with Denatrhius in Dragonflight.

  12. Shadowlands had so much potential when it started, Blizzard's writers should really be ashamed of themselves. This game turned out to be a textbook definition of "shoody work" storywise.
