Given the state of wow today (which is good btw) I had a burning question for some time now: why do you still play world of warcraft? Is wow worth it? Especially these days when there are so many other games you could be wasting your time! Is wow dead because people are growing up or is it better than never now because it’s so segmented, serving so many different audiences?

Taking a break right now. I will come back in s2 but I feel like m+ is the worst it has ever been. I don’t wanna play it. Plus if they see more of us doing them they may think it’s good. I don’t wanna be a metric 😅

I play for the storyline! I was with WoW at the start of launch due to a friend telling me about it! I left at 3.5 & came back in 2018 for a month then left again! I came back for Dragonflight & I am just chilling leveling my Alts!

yea, i havent been playing since March 12th of this year and quit due to how bad the game is, and really it is not that entertaining as much but did play it back in the 2000s
Eh I do play it because I find it fun, Like do I need something else ? If you need to find a reason to play something outside of fun remember that its a video game. Kinda lame to find other reason
I've tried to quit several times with different MMO but always return to wow because it has something others don't and it just feels right.
You guys are awesome but Wow is dead for me. I miss raiding but “m+” started to erode my experience in the game back in MoP when it fragmented my top guild at the time. I had loads of fun levelling, exploring and doing some achievs in TWW, but i have no desire to join the gear grind by running the same dungeons over and over and over again after q’ing eons. Obviously wow is great and if i had no job/kids/life/badback/butt problems from 10 years of wow then i would 100% be still be playing hardcore af.😅

wow is my jam but i left a few weeks ago for a while to go play other game. once heroic raid was done, I had nothing to look forward to. Season 1 was terribad.
20 years under my belt, I play very different than I used to mostly solo as I am older and not as interested in pushing myself, but that is one of the reasons I still play. Diversity in game play. Heck I somtimes just find myself fishing in a beautiful place enjoying myself perfectly when I am tired and board in RL. 😂
Now that I think about this, it's probably my characters, my main sunwalker in red horde plate and favorite alt havoc they are just so much fun to play
I keep coming back because of the fantasy of this world. Even when I got really mad for the $90 mount and wanted to leave the game and never come back, I … came back 😢 Hell I even wanted to sell all the WoW books I have, but I haven’t in the end.

I used to be able to keep up 3-4 toons as a solo only player now with M+ its a pain in the @$$ at +2-3 M+ because its just too hard for new people trying to come in fresh. That's literally why i log in do 1-2 PVP matches do a +7 then log off for the week. (I might do a couple profession crafts)

Nostalgia mostly. Dragonflight went a long ways towards pulling me back to the game. The changes they made to M+ in TWW S1 to the drop points for top tier crests and myth vault pulls really put a damper on things. M+ pugging had always been toxic and gatekeepery but its 10 times worse now and just not worth dealing with for so little reward. They need to immediately go back to DF S2/S3 format and drop points…dont wait for S2…do it now to save face with the playerbase before too many get gone amd ALL of DFs progress is erased. Then they need to start engineering ways to combat player toxicity in the PUG scene and the dps players complete and utter disregard for the tank and healer roles.
I enjoy the gameplay and testing my limits. I hate the bugs and bad m+ decisions.
Great list there! For me, It's a mix of escapism, friends/community as well as the amount of time sunk into it. While, yes, my EU venture is minimal compared to my NA account, it doesn't make it any less valid.

I play wow casually for 15 years. Tried some mmo's and arpg's in between but i say wow is still the one i want. For me it's the best mmo overall

Несколько раз я переставал на полгода-год когда контент совсем приедался или оказывался неинтересным (Пандария). Но я постоянно возвращаюсь. Просто все остальные игры слишком "простые".
Сейчас я не могу оплатить подписку и новое дополнение, но всё равно захожу на 20 уровневых персонажей чтобы попытаться обновить мой аддон Hedd 😅
I play WoW just because i really like keystone core mechanic. why i played before Legion? I don't know, already forgot.
Been playing since 2008. 1055 Mounts 930 Toys and 1864 unique pets. Over 42k achievements so it’s not wanting to give up all that time collecting for me I guess
My brother has paused his subscription until siren isles or season 2 since he just plays M+ every time he logs on.
I’m still playing and making more alts since I just do delves with some LFG/LFR. I just find the game to be more fun when I have no commitments or real end goal and just doing whatever I find interesting. Doing old transmog runs are neat since I like playing dress up with some of my characters. My most recent one was farming the old Scholomance.
If only my brother would do something else other than M+ so that he doesn’t get burn out from all the PUGs.
I love WoW, there is just no other game like it. The world, the lore and the gameplay is just unmatched in the mmorpg genre. But all this doesn’t matter if i cant play the game. Looking for m+ groups for hours just for the group to dispand after anybody fails. I hope we find a solution for this…

I still play it because I find it fun. Also I'm interested in the lore and storyline of the Worldsoul trilogy. Now why exactly do you need justification to play a game?
