The Hardcore challenge has been the focus of Vanilla WoW over the past few months, but its not just that area of the game that has seen growth.
Just the regular Vanilla realm clusters have seen tons of players returning back to them.
Today i’m going to check out how much regular Vanilla servers have grown and show you that if you fancy some non hardcore Vanilla WoW … the option is there right now.

God I hope so I much prefered vanilla-bc as it forced people to play together without it . Everyone who would avoid it does and can as much as possible and it kinda kills things as much as it made it easier
Yup normal pve play ^^ no hardcore. No add ons. Starting again in september 1st.
I think "solo-self-found-harcore" is pretty niche. if I played HC I would want it seem normal other than the perm death. I think trading, auctions and Dungeons should be on the table. maybe even more than daily.
it's something about seeing the number like 10-3k rather than 5k to 20k whatever it is in other expansions. thats for me at least. I would pay to play on server where you proggress through expansions and you have to clear all dungeons and all raids and perhaps collect some notable items per expansion in order to progress further. expansions can be layered, which shouldn't cause "lag". same goes for proffesions, gotta gather/craft some notable items from expansion in order to progress further. players that already cleared expansion can always come back to it to help their guild/mates, but their items will go back to what it was when they jumped to next expansion. Wouldn't this be cool???

I am afraid to commit time in classic and then all of a sudden they decide to relase fresh.
I missed the boat on the orginal wave of WoW Vanilla and would absolutely jump in on some fresh servers.
i wasnt into classic when it came out cuz of the hype. ive played wow since the day it came out so i was there when it was original. now im so sick of dragon isles and dumb down content im actually tempted to play classic now but was afraid it would be empty cuz everyone is in wotlk
I just came back to classic era and wow, it feels more alive than even WOTLK classic.
Man I'd love to go back to ol' Grob but every time I log in all of the servers seem permanently "low" pop.

Non hardcore servers are injected with gold sellers and bots
Serverpop halfed on all Classic servers after the HC release. Firemaw cluster is still good – even though pop is just medium. But it's PVP and you'll get ganked from lvl 20 to 60 while leveling. Some days you will spend half your playtime walking back to your corpse. These gankers are killing the game. Because Firemaw is the only active cluster in the EU. The PVEs have way less pop.
the bosses have no mechanics it is to easy
LFM Molten Core GDKP. Must be a Warrior or Rogue and have phat stacks of gold to spend. Be fully world buffed because these bosses have a whopping 2 mechanics!!! No thank you.
I happily started vanilla for the first time since like decade and it's so alive !

Why are Hardcore players going to RP servers? Why is the cluster bad?
Classic is the best version of wow.
Blizz is a greedy, stupid company these days. We want a FRESH, NO SPEED ups and a clean start. Classic PLUS would be amazing, but that is like asking Biden to not crap his pants.

I started at the end of wrath. That experience was really what won me over though. I’ve come and gone over the years but the game has definitely lost a lot of the experience that it once had. Now it’s just boost or power level to max and jump into end game as fast as possible. I miss the feeling of having leveled zones and having to earn your right to survive from one zone to the next and actually soaking up the story lines as you go. As a rogue main, learning and leveling things like poisons and lock picking makes it really feel like you’ve put in work to get to where you are and adds to the immersive feel of your class. I haven’t played any version of classic yet but I will be soon. I want to love this game again.
Im coming back to vanilla, i played as an 11 year old back in tbc where i started, the vibes had peaked in wrath where i started raiding. I am so excited to be back, i didnt raid in vanilla at all, and this time im bringing my wife on the journey. Shes new but loves it, so glad to see vanilla thriving

I would much rather level up characters from both factions and just do everything possible in vanilla rather than play Cataclysm again.
Yep but when you get Esfand and Asmingold and Sodapop all dropping videos at the same time singing the praises of HC it robs a lot of the fan base even more,they will break this great game again as they did before by every one not being content with what they wanted Vanilla Classic wow they are already trying to make changes and patches with the season of mastery instead of classic 1.4 we have the patch 1.5 where does it stop,even with all the different version players are just greedy and will all ways want more,but I am like you and I am happy with WoW classic servers just needing a wee bit attention
