this one does get hotter then the other games. like I can feel that the MacBook is getting hotter.
for a long term test I have to make some time to do that. but for now it runs!

it uses the intel version with rosetta 2 runs smooth.

Macos Ver. : 11.0 Big Sur ( duh )
Base model MacBook Air 2020
Chip: Apple M1
Ram: 8GB
Gpu: 7Core GPU
Storage: 256 GB ( temps show up around 35Gr )
( Temp readings won’t work also no command line info of the temps)

Game uses Rosetta 2

played for about 10min

no dips in frames yet but it was a 10min play long term will show us more.

settings cranked up to very high and 2k resolution gave me around 45FPS AVG

  1. Any chance you can try Albion Online. It is only other game I play. And it turns quite poor on my 2020 i5 Air. If it runs better even 20% I’d be stoked. The performance on iPhone and iPad is incredible so hopefully they port that client over in the future. Thank you if possible. I’ll sub

  2. If you run this on the 16GB M1 13” pro using the apple silicon version of WoW that just released, you might get steady 60fps in these outdoor zone. Keeps me wondering how that will perform in raids and populated areas.

  3. Nice video! Do you know if Remote Desktop client works on Apple M1? I want to order a macbook with M1 now and I want to be sure I can access my Windows PC if I have issues with some apps on macOS.

  4. slightly misleading, this is done in the starting area and is on a ship, it's not demanding at all for an instanced zone. You should test this in a major city or the new SL zones. You will not be able to do that FPS at that setting. I tested wow in Ardenweld on a MBA M1. external monitor at 1080p, need level 5 settings to do 60fps.
