  1. Solution: Make the jelly cat the 500 mount reward. Put the otter under the Normal Raid unlock.

Win for Raiders: They get a mount model before anyone else
Win for Everyone else: they're not locked out of the jelly cat.

  2. What is a "casual"? The guild I'm in manages to get AOTC with two x 2 hour raid sessions a week. I don't do M+, so I pretty much only gear through heroic raids. I reckon I'm "casual". So in that sense, I have no worries about a mount only dropping for Normal, Heroic and Mythic. I mean, every single season there's gladiator mounts, mythic raid mounts and mounts locked behind obscure features I have no interest in (ember court, etc.). I don't mind this, I'm not having a rage because these mounts exist yet I don't get them. LFR will likely be harder than normal anyway, because it will be full of people that don't want to learn mechanics. They just want the rewards with no effort.

  3. I am visually impaired and I can't spend hours on end for a raid. I get migraines if I have to pay so much attention for so long. I had really hoped to get this mount on LFR since I can just go afk while queing and just move around a bit every 5 minutes or so. I also would get kicked out of pugs since I'm visually impaired and GTFO is a bit slower than visually being able to see things so I end up standing in the fire. And telling people I'm visually impaired has gotten me kicked before even starting before.

LFR is sometimes also used for disability related reasons.

  4. you are just an entitled raider that just has the option to get it and doesnt care. ok we get it. its sad that use the word casual in your title like that. People that dont raid dont give a flying F how some1 got a mount. why would i care how some1 did something .just give option to every1 to work towards a reward! its called inclusion!CHECK THE MEANING!

  5. Normal isn't casual anymore? You probably waste less time and sanity just pugging normal anyways. There is at least 4 months to get the mount. With a little effort even the most casual players can get this Mount. If you don't, then you don't. I mean normally these kind of mounts are only heroic/mythic. Then there might be something to claim entitlement to lol

  6. I have every AOTC, and I was even planning to just do LFR for the cat mount. I am on a raiding break. Most people I raided with aren't coming back for season 4.

  7. I think it's not a great way to end Shadowlands. I could go and get the mount in normal, but at this point I barely log on. Unlike the past I am sitting on the fence about even getting Dragonflight. What are the incentives? Dragonflight has some exciting things for sure, but it is not enough. I have been on the roller coaster that is WoW for a very long time, and I am not seeing much reason to stay on. It's in Blizzards court to convince me. Watching my sweet corn growing in my backyard has been more desirable then logging in.

  8. I find the discussion about Bigglesworth Sr. pretty useless and tiring… why? Cause it's ALWAYS the same 🙄
Always there are people playing the game for like 1h a month and complaining about not getting "all the cool stuff" -.- Sure it is a communication issue, this is blizzards fault.
I'm not that kind of person, that thinks only hardcore-Players that play 24/7 are allowed to get the good things and LFR-Raiders are BS or something like this.
But guys… get real! First watch ALL the rewards for the Fated-Meta-AVs… for normal you get a pretty cool Mount… for HC you get only a Titel… and for MYTHIC… you get portals to a Raid… WOW…. so Blizz already thought about the "Casuals" by placing the most wanted Reward behind only completing the Raids in NORMAL… not HC, not Mythic… but NORMAL…
Sure, it's on Weekly Rotation and you can pay Boosters to get this mount in like 20 min like for Curved or something like this… but if we look at the Calender…
Begin of Season 4: 2/3. August… Lattest now known/possible release of Dragonflight: 31.12…. this means… in best/worst outcome (depends of pov ^^) you have 4 Months to clear all thre Raids on Normal… since all three are rotating weekly this means: in those like 21 Weeks you have 7 Weeks PER RAID to clear it…
Also don't forget, first you don't have to clear every Boss every Week again (so you can sign up for special Bosses in LFG-Tool with Pugs) and second you can Save IDs for the full rotation i guess. Means:
Week 1: You clear Nathria till like Sludgefist. Week 2: you get Sanctum and also extend the Nathria-ID for this ID… Week 3: You go to Sepulcher, and also extend the Nathria-ID also for this ID and even the Sanctum ID… Week 4: You again get Nathria, extend the previous ID and start at/after Sludgefist… EZ…
And even though you are a slow progressing group… with this method you should be able to kill all the Bosses in like 7 Weeks…

And even if you don't want to wait this long… take the Pug-Method…

If you don't want to do all this methods… and still complaining about a Mount that is "hided behind a (not so hard) Raiding-Wall" than maybe think about if a MASSIVE MULTIPLAYER Online Rollplaying Game is something for you or if Single-Player Games aren't the better Choice for you 😉

  9. The only right answer for a casual player is stopping playing this lousy game altogether. What I have been for some months now. Not planning to return. They are already starting to ruin into the ground also that potentially awesome feature, Dragonriding.

  10. was in guilds that raided from burning crusade through to BFA, got AOTC when it was out, but this expac it has only been LFR. Disappointed the jelly mount won't be available as it means to get going to have to PUG normal groups, which is much worse than LFR

  11. As a "casual" player who has not raided seriously since Lich King now as a collector of "stuff" and achievement whore I am hugely miffed that this mount is not available in LFR. I will now have to spend my time trying to complete the raids in groups that will no doubt kick me when my dps is not adequate or my knowledge of the boss is lacking. I will always try my best and I will do some research on the raid but raiding is not my preferred play style. This will only encourage gold making carries for casuals like me.

  12. I mean clearly………… they want people to pay gold to be carried. They clearly like people paying gold to other people to win at the game.
It should be LFR. Who gives a damn? They have to raid every raid and play for at least a months subscription. Just leave it all raid levels.

  13. I feel like a casual player… Literally play for about 7hrs a week most of the time that includes raid times… I do some mythic prog, but we only raid 2 nights a week. I have no idea what "casual" players actually do or what a self-proclaimed casual player is actually wanting to get out of an MMO playing solo content? Serious question… I love that the game has players that do absolutely nothing I do but still like the game, but what are the things you're doing in game

  14. My stance on the Jelly Cat thing(which my mom wants, desperately, but can't raid due to health issues, so I have to do it FOR her), is that i think pretty much any reward available in Normal-Mythic should be available, even if its just a recolor, in LFR.

I Do not like playing with people, i love the world, the lore, the characters, the quest, the adventure… but since day 1 this gave has pretty said "Ha ha f*ck you" to anyone who wanted to keep to themselves, outside of Dungeon Finder and LFR, because i want to do these things when i have the drive and energy, and not wait for people i don't care about to organize all on the same day… it feels like i am being punished for being a Introverted Warcraft fan.

  15. I don't know who's worse…blizz or rockstar. You guys just push the red button and hope for very little to no collateral damage. WHY are you abandoning LFR / casuals? What you should have done is give points to those who can't do Normal, Heroic or Mythic for whatever reason.
Your solution is friendship? That's like the LFR / Causal player getting free game time forever for lack of inclusion by said companies. Not gonna happen right? Exactly! So how many people who are paying customers that can only do LFR did you just alienate? Back to the point system – So for those who can only do LFR, you give them access to the mount too on a point system. First you make sure that YES they clear all the bosses as well BUT they have to acquire points as well. How do they get points? AFTER killing all the fated bosses of the 3 week rotation, they pick up a quest that says, YOU ARE ALMOST THERE! Now go out into the world and bring back 30 of said tokens or whatever. You get 1 token for killing a fated world boss or LFR boss, 1.5 on Normal and 2 for Heroic and 3 on Mythic (you can cap how many of each they can get per week if it suits you). The quickest you can get the mount this way is 4 weeks (1 week later than those running Normal, Heroic or Mythic). So a little more effort, they too can have access to the mount. They are still putting in the work, doing the hard yards and not being excluded.

  16. Thanks Soul great video as always! Yes I was excited to try venture into raiding, it being in the past very hard for me to even do with my time constraints and skill level being not to hot because I play off and on for only a couple weeks at a time (I feel like I'm always relearning my toon). So to even consider the possibility with this through LFR was a boon, although I wasn't sure I'd make it through every encounter (landing on the right week for the right raid I'll need and to have the time to clear it are 2 separate problems), but I was at least going to try. See I respect the raiding community enough to not to try a normal pug and wipe it if I'm rusty from not being on for 3 weeks and LFR was just easier for me to still attempt to get that Slimecat. I guess I'm out and Blizz once again gets their community hyped only to be disappointed in the end. It really is crummy they lead us on with how it's worded in the achievements – I feel lied to, simple as that.

  17. This game has never been designed for casuals since day one. If you can't earn the mount, you don't get it period. If you want it, go work for it. Before I get flamed for being an elitist, not even close, I am super casual and haven't raided since Cata but I also don't cry that I don't get the cool mount or mythic armor, etc.

  18. Casuals have been forgotten for a long time. Seems like the devs have forgotten that not everyone can play the game for 16+ hours a day. And that some work long hours and can only really play for a few hours aday.

  19. It’s disappointing they decided to leave LFR out of it because sometimes it’s hard finding normal premade groups or the fact that guilds aren’t as active which makes LFR very convenient for some people. Another thing is people have to work all day and only get a small amount of hours out of the evening to play, so Blizzard needs to consider people who have to play casually as well. Maybe they should have an option to be able to choose the Raid difficulties for LFR for those who have trouble finding pre made groups or not enough time so it’s fair for everyone instead of making it an entirely separate thing.

  20. As a "casual" but long time player, I've switched from Guild activities and PvP to doing achievements and collecting mounts. As far as this jelly cat mount is concerned I'll be buying a boost towards the end of the season so its hopefully a bit cheaper. To be honest SL has been a total bust for "casuals". Not enough content being my biggest complaint. Where's all the quests? I remember a time when you had quests coming out of your ears when you enter a new zone. Now you're lucky if you get a handful that last no more than half an hour! Bring on Dragonflight…

  21. its fine, its good to know that their is nothing to do in wow still for casual. and that blizzard doesnt value customers who have been with them from the start. by giving no content. and making it ultra unfriendly to alts. on upside their is other games out their to fix the void that blizzard refuses too full.
hopefully Microsoft does something about it but still no confirmed date on when full take over is. till then i wont support the game.
