  1. I feel like if Arthas isn't at least addressed or represented in some direct ways in Shadowlands it'll be a huge missed opportunity. But, I kind of agree that he shouldn't get a redemption arc? I dunno. I guess it depends on how it's handled. A lot of it was Frostmourne and him being manipulated by the Dreadlords. But a lot of it was him just being fanatical in the extreme in the case of Stratholme. All that said. It does feel weird he hasn't had an updated model since Wrath.

  2. He is a key figure in all this that has happened. For him to not be involved in some way is asinine… We know post death cinematic he is well aware of his actions and his oblivion.. the entire Xpack is about anyone dying getting a chance at redemption. Im just saying the story's already gone its own way and by the way it has gone is stupid to ignore that.
He is clearly getting some form of redemption. Blame Blizard with the whole its a new REAL life post your former real life…none of it makes sense, and will cause far to much trouble down the road.

  3. No, not with the current writers. They have retconned all of Warcraft 3, don't destroy one of the last cool characters in WoW. New writing team, then you can bring him back.

  4. Well worded, Arthas is so essential to both Warcraft and WoW that having an updated model, despite the low usage nowadays, would still highly benefit the game as a whole. And make everyone happy in the process.

  5. Arthas' story is a well-written tale of a hero's downfall. But to deny him a redemption arc is to deny all of the various hints given over the years (LONG before Shadowlands) that indicate that Arthas is just as much a victim in his transformation as anyone he slaughtered while as the Lich King. If anything, it is Sylvanas' redemption comes seemingly out of nowhere.

  6. So I'm guessing that the in-game cutscene with Sylvannas talking about how she shot Arthas with her arrow is after the raid since Anduin is in the background standing next to Jaina?

  7. "do not redeem Arthas"
yo no offence here but i am ok if atleast a part of him get's redeem if you know much about him you would know there is a part of him that was still human and i think that part of him self need to end in Revendreth and get properly redeem.

i mean if you think about his storyline Arthas true crime was taking the sword even though Muradin warn him, not only that but he killed the mercenaries he hire to destroy the boat, the boat his soldiers needed to return home.

after losing the consciousness of his soul to the sword, because his soul was the first to be consumed by the sword and it was explain in Shadow Lands how is it that people who lose their soul can still act and think, because the sword eat the part of the soul that gave people consciousness to their actions.

after the sword ate his soul he became a complete puppet to the jailer. after that it was pretty much the LichKing's doing so that part can't never be redeem.

but his human side can be redeem, just honestly speaking??? it needs to suffer in Revendreth…
