I meant to have the 2nd part of that Cataclysm leveling series come out today, but it turns out the entire file is corrupted and my SSD is dying. So, alas, I have to re-edit the entire project from scratch. Sucks, but oh well. I'll try to have it out by Friday. Thank you all for watching!
This! Yes, give us a TBC and WoLK server. No interest in Cata, it simply isn’t Classic however they try to sell it as such. Feels like TBC and WoLK was an epic Waste of time and effort now.

Absolutely. I did not want to lose my wrath toons. I wanted to keep popping in on occasion to revisit. That was my wow victory lap. Full bis DK. Pop into a raid here and there. Goof off with other alts. I hate being forced into Cata and won't do much in it

if something i learned from my time playing on blizz wotlk is that people dont wanna play , you dont imagine how many boosted people i came accross and i forgot how shitty was the whole spell and weapon systems , and hell all melees felt auto attack simulator , and dont get me wrong i started with wotlk but god now that im older i realize how janky and shitty was wotlk , you know i give you that , the nostalgia factor and everything of the old world was charming but you cant fucking live in a memory forever

They already announced in a dev interview that they are going to do SOD based content into the expansions so people can play tbc and wotlk, but straight era servers are not happening.
This problem is the main reason why some people continue to play on private servers. They can easily upgrade their characters and get the relevant equipment, then take a break for a whole year! and return to characters, which will still be relevant. The time capsule concept is ideal for people who play anything other than World of Warcraft.

I know I’m gonna get blasted for saying this bc for some reason blizzard shills hate it when you mention playing on private servers. If blizzard isn’t going to meet the needs of its customers then play on private servers. There are a lot of good servers out there for every expansion from vanilla to Mop. Anything after MOP you run into issues of servers being really buggy.

Some Blizzard developers said once on an interview: The reason they didn’t give the option to keep the TBC or Wrath servers is because they want to move the whole playerbase to the next expansion.
Problem with that statement is: You will still subscribers.
I thought they would have kept the LK servers and allow character moves if people wanted to.. but they just replaced it completely. I didn't do as much farming or playing in it because I thought it'd be around for a lot longer. It doesn't feel good to miss out on the tiger mount 3 times in my life: first when my ex took it, then when I ran out of time to farm it the first cata launch, and now with this launch. Feels bad man
What they need to do is have an actual long term plan for Classic. One that isn't month by month, dollar by dollar, and actually respects the player bases time. What they're doing is lazy ass. They'll just keep releasing old expansions because they can attach a heroic edition to them for some easy money. They don't care about the service.

There are idiots who think classic died after BC classic was released, there are people who think classic died when Wrath was released, there are people (like you) who think classic died with Cataclysm. I got annoyed with Cata classic cause I didn't have any of my transmogs or mounts I have in retail. I might as well play retail. I got bored of SoD so I decided to do the MoP remix instead.

I think it's be good if they could integrate TBC and Wotlk servers into the classic (+) servers, so that all classic players can interact with each other and depending on the level cap you choose, you unlock the raids relevant. So if a tbc player goes to Azeroth they can chill with their vanilla friends and still see the lfg channels for vanilla raids for their alts f.e. to avoid tbc and wotlk servers dying because your friends are on different classics. That way you can have alts that go through wotlk and get the lvling experience. Some caps like item transfers and gold should apply to not make vanilla chars OP with tbc gear, etc.. even cooler if its a classic + server where there are some perks like talbuks for vanilla players if they get an alt exalted with the tbc rep
Would love this also. I played during vanilla, TBC, stopped during Wrath. I missed out on Classic in 2019. Came back for SOD, but would like to just slowly level from 1-80 for nostalgia
I think Cata Classic is a huge mistake. The only plus i see is I can go back and play all the classes as they were when I first managed to level a character to endgame during an expansion(which means I can play survival hunter before it became lame) But to utterly remove Classic,TBC and Wrath content servers is so stupid. Part of the joy and drawn of the Classic server idea was we get to go back and play content that no longer exist. The Cata old world in Retail still exist(I know I heard mention of some kind of a revamp with War Within but I doubt it will be Classic to Cata levels of revamping every zone.) But the Classic version of those zones are gone forever.
I know Classic still has servers and you dont have to play SoD but let's face it the state of WoW as far as gameplay by end of Wrath was so much better than Vanilla WoW. Maybe I'm biased as I started playing toward the end of Wrath, I remember when the first guild managed to slay the Lich King, but from that to playing Vanilla you realize how much rougher it was. Im glad Vanilla servers are still there but I think we need at least one or two with the end of Wrath state of the game.
That or really say fuck it and add Chromie to Cata classic and let me go back and quest through Kalimdor and EK vanilla through her.
My first WoW experience was Wotlk. It was awesome getting into this world after playing Warcraft 3. This is my favorite World of Warcraft. I then played Vanilla on a private server and leveling there was awesome! I remember the hardships and friends I made along the way fondly. Then I played a little bit towards the end of Cataclysm and it wasn't great, the feeling of discovery wasn't there. I then played WoD and it kinda sucked. But Legion was awesome for the raiding and Mythic +. I stopped played after BFA 2nd raid because… well BFA wasn't my thing and my guild disbanded. I probably won't play WoW again because the feeling of discovery is kinda gone and the raiding takes me too much time. Seeing people play Lich King and seasons of discovery kinda make me want to play again but with Blizzard current view on customer, it just stops me. WoW Classic cannot be Classic with the token

I canceled my subscription for the first time since classic's launch when Cata released without offering WotLK realms. It just feels like it's over for a lot of us. For me – and judging by the discussions I've read on the internet a substantial amount of people – WotLK was always the end goal of classic. I had a lot of fun in original Cata, but I have no interest in going forward into who-knows-where with Blizzard again. I'd even resubscribe and play Cata if promised a Cata realm at the end of it all. But without that promise, and with their history of taking away beloved expansions I just can't.
Classic would should have stayed. "classic", expansion 1, thats it, striaght vanilla, leave i there and don't move it.

A real motivator for blizzard would be that they're losing TBC and Wrath players to private servers, which is the whole reason they put out classic in the first place.

My plan was to hop off the classic bus with WoTLK. But since they announced the re-release of Cataclysm I completely stopped playing, I made the mistake of purchasing and playing Cata once and I don't plan to make that mistake again.
Don’t give them idea. The WoW community is very dispersed. The fact is that WoW is a MMO, having a big amount of people is the game base, now everyone, every friend is playing on different version of the game, soon they quit because no friends are together.
Well this mistake pales in comparison to your mistake of continuing to try to be a "content creator." Your recent channel metrics aren't looking good. Hopefully you kept your contacts w/Burger King & can maybe get that position of assistant manager back as your full-time real job. Good luck.
