  2. Beledar is a Light Prison. Calling it now. The depiction the Nerubians have is of an Old God seated with Nerubians while a giant crystal hangs overhead. Some say it's a Dark Naaru or a Void Ship or something … but I think it's Beledar. A purple crystal surrounded by gold – a stylistic depiction of a Void Lord, or other entity, surrounded by Light. Originally, the Old God and Nerubians had planned to break the Void entity free, but when the Old Gods were destroyed and the Nerubians broke ties with their forces, they ended up fleeing the Light and going deeper underground.

Millenia ago, a Void entity was unable to be defeated so it was instead trapped inside a crystal of pure Light. Needing a power source to maintain it's strength, it was sent to Azeroth so the Prime Worldsoul could keep it powered and functioning. Over time, the crystal acted just like the other stones and crystals in close proximity to the Worldsoul; it became a giant Resonance Crystal.

This link, between Worldsoul and Light Prison, is why when Sargeras so badly wounded the planet that Beledar began fluctuating. Between Sargeras, the Old God taint, the puncture of the Well of Eternity, and the Sundering, .. Azeroth couldn't keep up with powering the Prison to full capacity like it had for eons. The Void shift isn't only a shift in the crystal, but it's a Void entity trying to break free, rattling the prison cell bars whenever it feels the Prison weakening.

And, if you wanted to go a step further, I think Xal wants us to defeat whatever is inside. I think her goal is to either, a) turn the Worldsoul void or, b) weaken it enough that she can take it over like she did the dagger and her current body. I think by defeating the entity inside, it will cause a tear between the Void and Azeroth, similar to the basement in Aberrus (and similar to the Tomb of Sargeras for Disorder, or Northrend's sky opening up for Death), and on a similar massive scale. This is what leads us into Midnight. We beat the final boss, but this ultimately leads to the invasion of Void on Azeroth and their attempt to destroy the Sunwell in Midnight.

  3. 13:29 – wasnt it openly stated way back in WC2 times (when WC3 was promod) that the lore of the old kings is essentially 60s pulp mags?
Because i sure as hell see no dragon-pact-lord knife ears that fought against Thoardin while he was killing anima-monster-shapeshift people, no to-be-vampire buddies from the southeast/arathi+wetlands (not or at least hakkar humans), no fucking a vyrkul girl leading a troop of supersoldiers. Even the loose connection of wolf form soldiers is entire world wars apart instead of part of the founding myth for it to be WHFB.

  4. I'm glad they're writing new lore rather than leaning on the same characters and plot beats again and again to do the heavy lifting. Though I love that they're bringing the Nerubian spider bois back. Never leave us again, Metzen <3

  5. A new continent seems likely. However I wonder how they will explain the native species' lack of involvement during major world events such as Cata and the end of Legion.

Introducing us with to more lore, species and continents sounds interesting but also poses a risk. The MCU has faced this issue as well, where for most movies and events you can always wonder why hero X did not show up during major crisis Y.

  6. So for me, since… pretty much Legion, here's what i think :

Azeroth is the "prima" (strongest) titan to be, so world soul, because she's the only one with the power of Light, which is pretty much confirmed there, with Beledar's flame, as titan are arcane being.

But i also think this :

-Beledar is the protection of the world soul of Azeroth (we'll get in it somehow in this expac)
-The reason why Beledar is changing between light and dark is because light is the natural element of Azeroth, but why void ? Because the sword of Sargeras is the only thing that cut another planet that was corrupted by void, and we know that Sargeras sword can talk, like Old gods.
For me, when Sargeras cut the corrupted planet, the sword took the void power, became itself corrupted, and that's why Sargeras became crazy, he was manipulated by the sword.
-Midpatch area is 90% the other side of Beledar, and we'll go up to the surface to see the emperor.

  7. I'll try to answer those question we don't know about, from my point of view, i hope you like it :

-Radiant song : Azeroth, of course, i don't even know why it's still a question
-Xal'atath's story : She's the previous world soul of K'aresh (her skin/style etc)
-Why did the earthen not turn to flesh : We already know the answer to that, titan forged didnt turn to flesh, the forge that served to create titan forged were corrupted, simply not the one at khaz algar, because it had no guardian
-Who is the emperor : We'll see that in the mid patch
-Where is the empire located : other side of Beledar, and we'll go back to the surface there i think
-What is Beledar : Azeroth's world soul "egg", the only example of similar thing we have is Argus, Argus was the titan of death, so only death was around (the planet itself), while Azeroth's element is light, which is why Beledar, a Naa'ru like thing is around.
-Beledar shifting to the void : The sword of Sargeras absorbed the void corrupted world soul of the planet he cut in half
-What are the harronir : Another evolution of trolls, like cavern under world tree evolution
-What is the black blood : We already know, it's the blood of Old gods
-When did Beledar arrive : For me, it was always there, before the elemental spirits, and before Old gods
-Does Xal atath still have the dark earth : To me the question is more "what" is the dark earth, it look like a dimensional pocket but of void, Khadgar was inside, and could come out, which mean… DALARAN IS STILL INSIDE LETS GO
-What's up with Ethereal : Like i said above, for me it's all about K'aresh, ascended look like ethereal because Xal'atath is the world soul of K'aresh, and a part of it is trying to control Xal'atath (raid boss for example isnt siding with Xal'atath)
-What is the unseeming : Easy ! (maybe not) On Argus we already got on the void plane, for some quest, because the planet also had a void part, for me, every being that has part void has a void plane, Argus had, if Beledar is Azeroth's egg, and everything above is true, then Azeroth itself is shifting between light and void (which is why void overtake life), and that's why there is a plane.
-Are the giants roots Elun'ahir : YES, it would make everything else logic, like why Earthen forge didnt get corrupted. It's said that Elun'ahir was planted by Eonar for life to drive away the black empire, the reason why Earthen forge wasnt corrupted is because Elun'ahir protected it.
-Why does ascension make nerubian look more humanoid : You're right, it's a titan trait, or not exactly, Troll and elf are humanoid right ? But they werent created by titan, they were created by AZEROTH, so it's not exactly a titan trait, but a world soul trait, and that also work with my theory of Xal'atath is the world soul of K'aresh.
