Can World of Warcraft Be Saved? – (My Thoughts)

World of Warcraft is not in the best of positions right now. Many of us held to hope that Patch 9.2 would bring about a change to the game and a shift in the culture surrounding Blizzard Entertainment. However, as the weeks have passed, what we’ve found is a harsh reality that little has changed at all. The game is still looked down upon, Blizzard is still seen as corrupt, and most have moved on to other games and platforms to find their entertainment.

This begs the question: Can World of Warcraft even be saved at this point? Or is it all over for our favorite MMORPG? I suppose time will tell, but for now, these are my thoughts on the current state of things.

  1. Guild housing would be a far better option then just single player housing. A hub where you can meet up with fellow guild players chat or go off together to a mythic + dungeon. A place where if your guild kills a past raid boss it drops a decoration for your guild house wall like the head of onixia or something.

  4. at some point it was fun now it more a game that run it self rather than letting the player experience the game for them selves….
wow was good until it got bad by design at least they did not fuck up vanilla wow as much as the brain dead casual shit fest it has become!

  5. I think wow would be unreal if you had your own class storyline with areas and cutscenes like Swtor did. It’s really lacklustre reading text quests when in Swtor you have cutscenes and dialogue options

  6. After today's Expansion Reveal of 10.0 IMO they officially RUINED WoW.. Dragon Riding sounds cool.. But it will get boring fast. Remember you might have to unlock flying first as well otherwise it wouldn't be WoW's new Expansion. Dragon Customization? Guess what? You have to unlock stuff in Raids and what not (my guess).. The NEW Race/Class? The Dragon Humanoid form looks terrible! That's one reason I will NOT make a Dragon Race for sure.. The Vanilla Dragon Humanoids even looks better then what 10.0 has to offer. And the new Talent Tree doesn't fix it! They missed that by YEARS!

  7. Truth be told, wow in its current state and form cannot be saved. A basic reason is that their competition is quicker on capitalising on blizzards mistakes, thus producing more engaging games. They don't need to wait for feedback, they got it from people playing wow.

  8. im stopping playing wow since MoP, almost get back to play when the BoA launch, then i realize, it just waste money, its not only WoW though, Overwatch with the very long queue maybe almost zero player base?(IDK) and Hearthstone with the broken 1s turn by a flying lizzard, they said its alrd fixed, but i dont want to get another nightmare. also all blizz games share the same fate or maybe already broken to pieces, the CoD is the only left, luckily wasnt its from activision :).

btw if ur looking for another MMO RPG i suggest try Guildwars 2, its kinda fun though. no subs free to try.

  9. The problem with Blizzard is lack of motivation. They already sit on mountains of money, so what kind of motivation can players invoke to force developers to deliver awesome content? Exactly, there is absolutely no way to do that in current state of real life. If world won't change, cycle will be repeating.

  10. It can. Private servers. Stop relying on Blizzard. Private servers have already gone above and beyond whatever Blizzard can possibly do nowadays.

  11. Ok, but lets remember that this is STILL the writing team moving into the future that turned Garrosh into a battery who went boom….and turned Arthas into a whisper that just faded away….. Blizzard writing team – "Why don't you like out characters! fuuuuuu"
Kills off our favorite characters in the worst ways….

  12. Nope. You can’t. Wow cane at a time when Social media was not developed yet. Blizzard had a good in game chat so it helped boost wow’s popularity as a social platform. I remember having several friends of mine who used wow to make friends, some never even getting to level 60 and just chatting all day after school. When Social media cane (facebook, insta, vine, youtube, twitter, etc…) all the chat lovers left.

  13. Hey Nixxiom, I love your video man. I also have played wow since 2005, and it have been a sad time the last 3 years, when blizz devs team are ripping wow apart apart on every patch. I know that wow can be saved, we can save a sinking ship, like np, but is up to devs team if they want wow to be saved. Wow got alot of issues, and they can fix, there are solutions on all problems, but blizz devs team must understand the problems. I just hope that they will listen to us in the future and save their jobs in blizz^^
Peace and love Best Regards Superkee

  14. Tbh I think they need to make a World of Warcraft 2 or something at this point.. So much bloat that isn't used and arguably is hard to use. Fresh start IMO..
But it's hella expensive so it's not gonna happen.

  16. Too much needs to be changed to "save" this game; it just needs to be put down tbh….and… I'm not sure what can be done in this space. They drug the game's story and existence out so long…..I can't see a future with it.

  17. I remember pretty much everyone I knew played this game. The community desperately wants this game to be good, but even the attitude of the developers is just so annoying and tiring. They always come with the "we know what's best for you" attitude, but it just comes off as smug and cringe-worthy, just like that one where they sit next to each other and talk to the camera. It's more artificial, manufactured and fake, than a coke zero's sweetness. This applies to the game as well. It puts you on a railroad, and you are not allowed to do your own thing, as the game will solve everything for you, same goes for the massive amount of pruning in abilities and talent.
The communication between dev and players is just laughable too, every time they are asked a question they gave you a reply, which doesn't contain the answer. They talk a lot but they don't say much, or rather anything at all. I remember when you could actually talk to GMs too.
This game was never about the epic journey of what blizzard planned for you, it was always about the ragtag groups and their interactions, as they later became friends. This is now nowhere, as other MMOs suffer from this too, but it's really noticeable in WoW, because it was the exact opposite.

  18. I think everything up till Shadowlands was on spot. Shadowlands really did turn the table around and story took the wrong path. Now the problem is they have exhausted all the villians. The way I see it can be save is restart on a world scale.
