I can assure you people are definitely aware of MW for the RWF and we will be seeing guilds like limit playing them!
Mastery should increase damage based on how much hp the group has. Helps with the damage issue and works well with the steady top up healing the class gives.
maybe with the bubble trinket given in the new raid blizzard tries to not have to rework mw or rdruid but give them simply a trinket to compensate for that
Did you play in BFA near the end? It was a funny time for MDI nearly every team was running a Mistweaver. Mainly for way of the crane. But later on they realized the healer could get aggro of the mini bosses and just run away while the team killed the final boss. But even then, almost nobody played Mistweaver on live servers.
I really like so e of these ideas! There was a similar post about this for all the underepresented healers on r/CompetitiveWow, where they suggested MW gets a CD which staggers all raid damage taken for 10s or so, inspired by the brewmaster monks stagger passive
