Sup boys. We’ve had some tuning, some campaign progression, we’ve got much more gear, and we’ve had a chance to experiment in every bracket to get a feel for how both Frost & Unholy are both doing in Rated PVP. So what’s the verdict? This video will cover just that.
Get updates on which comps ended up being the most powerful, if there are any notable changes to the best legendaries, stat weights, and more. It’s pretty clear that our covenant (Necrolord) is going to stay for at least this entire season as it is clearly the most dominant option for now, but has anything else changed? Let’s talk about it.

After 3 months of shadowlands do you really believe that DKs have a place in pvp?
I main a DK since 2010 and I don't have alts. But tbh either frost or uh are struggling into pvp.
We have to put huge effort in order to do the dmg that warriors, monks and other classes do easily.
I will continue with my DK but really it makes me sad that we are so not considered!
Keep it up with the videos for all of us stubborns that continue play this class 🙂

Man I think you missed the point why people meme on chill streak nerf. It’s just the fact that they have a chill streak nerf at top priority when all the one shots in the game exist lol

What legendary do you use
Nerf chillstreak 1 more time and rebuff core abilities one more time. It needs to be nerfed just enough to where it can be a good choice into comps that would get punished by it but since its an honor talent it kinda feels bad to have to play it nearly into everything. No class should have to rely on singular abilities so heavily. Its okay for it to be effective and strong but it should feel more like a complimentary bonus instead of what our pvp is being based and designed around
Frost also needs a way to finish off low health targets in my personal opinion even in pve this change would put frost in a healthier fight since part of the very reason it sees less play in pve is because a lack of execute. I think everyone can agree a mortal strike wouldnt feel right for frost but tell me what you think about an execute on frost again
Personally dont want it to be soul reaper. I think a frost execute would be better suited as a large costing runic power spender since that way it could give us more decision to choose between going for damage/kills or pooling rp for healing/survivability. However soul reaper would be better than nothing (Edit) Also could give us another rotational button to press inside of pillar instead of just chaining obliterates. Can help when you have lots of runic power and lots of runes and dont have fast enough ways to spend the rp when the target is low
Lastly maybe redesign some honor talents that see little to no play. It could really freshen up the spec and give us a little more options in different areas of pvp. Deathchill could see reworks or buffs for example and Dead of Winter could see a rework that makes it buff remorseless winter instead of crippling it. Cadaverous could bake in mirror ball from legion

The issue most people have with the chillstreak nerf is that they nerfed chillstreak while something like divine toll can kill somebody from 75% to 0 and yet that remains unchanged but oh boy gotta nerf that chillstreak. And that's just one example. Tldr chillstreak was not even top 10 on anybodys needs immediate attention list.

Make necro strike replace scourge strike and make is spell power scaled.

Us Unholys cry sad tears for PvP. We absolutely PUMP in PVE though. Also it sucks because Vers is garbage for us in PVE. So you pretty much have to farm 2 sets of gear :(.

Plague damage not reduced in pvp and necrotic strike buffed 4%->6%. Does this change anything for unholy?
I'm stuck between 2.1 and 2.2, playing with a ww and a dp.
we cant win rmp, any idea ? at the moment my ww or dp use trinket it's over
ANOTHER PROPHETIC FLARK PREDICTION: necro strike buffed (to 6%) and virulent plague unnerfed. I think 6% is a very conservative "fair" choice by them, and it needs some experimentation. necro strike will probably be played, but not be overwhelming. the unnerfing of plague makes rot comps even better when they rise. unholy is close, boys!

I'm sorry I'm just starting the vid but this phrase caught me ! .. "Frost is fantastic in PvP" ??! .. yes we can win with "Snowball" setup .. but still so far from "fantastic".. the playstyle is not FUN at all to play .. we can win? yes .. but is it fun to win this way ? a big F "NO" . we have no damage, we have no physical def, we have no self healing, we are totally relying on our team mates to win games.
if you ever talk to an old DK player who quit around 4 years ago and ask em what the best moment you had playing FDK ? the answer would be just "THE BIG OBLITRATES WERE SATISFYING". but now all we have is just a freaking 2 big obliterates 3 max per minute the rest are just 2-3k crits which are really nothing .. you can't kill someone with just 2-3 7.5k obliterate per minute . and why you didn't mention obliterate damage outside of killing machine ??! are you satisfied with the 1.5k normal and 3k crit obliterates ?!?! or are you satisfied with the 2k rime procs ?? or the 2k frost strikes ??
I'm sorry but if you and the rest of the DK content creators always seem satisfied with the "CURRENT SHIT STATE DKs ARE IN" and won't talk about the "REAL ISSUES WITH DKs" Blizzard won't do shit about it. because sadly blizzard seems to ignore forums/reddit feedbacks and only listen to content creators nowadays -_-' .
Edit: oh and regarding unholy .. my new alt 174ilvl frost DK face tanked a 42k hp unholy DK in a skrimish a bit ago and killed him after apoc ended with chill streak, obliteration burst because his hits were smaller than the my "small Death strike healing".. that alone should explain the stat unholy DKs are in PvP.
