  1. Just want to add, Season 3 popped off because it was right after the War Within announcement which cause a lot of people to resubscribe. I completely skipped Season 2 and I know a lot of others have as well.

  2. "lets shit all over pvp kekw oh look Pvp's dead , wait how many people are in a solo shuffle lobby?" – – I can't believe people listen to these two clowns. At least know your stuff before you come take a crap on it.

  3. I went back recently, did 1 BG. It was an epic, I got pulled in late along with a few others. It was a GY camp in AV by a group called Davy Jones' Locker that's known for doing that. I broke up the GY camp by my second explosive trap because they suck and need to prey on weaker players. I got out and thought, yeah, that's why I left. I didn't survive past the one month.

  4. I refuse to do solos. I'm a healer and it just isn't worth it. We win? Nothing to do with me. We lose? Entirely my fault. I'm gonna take shit no matter what, so enjoy your long queues, DPS, cause I just don't care any more.

  5. The simplest way to revitalize retail PVP is make the barrier to entry less daunting.

Any rating fix etc.. is just a bandaid for the current problem. Those who have played WOW pvp for years seem to have very difficult time to understand why WOW pvp seems unattractive for those who haven't played it.

There is a learning curve in M+ as well but it's way less daunting. Even with changing affixes you get used to the current dungeon rotation pretty fast even as a casual.
You can log in play an hour a day and keep making steady progress.

  6. Peak was probably from the MMR buff, but having to have 47 weak auras and at least half a dozen addons to be equal to everyone else either:
    – Back from a break
    – New WoW player
    – Someone trying PvP for the first time.

It's just nuts. Multiple creators including Ven highlighted this before but why would anyone try to get into WoW PvP with all of the barriers to entry???

I really like Plunderstorm and hope it stays as it's a nice alternative to "typical" WoW. But I feel like a proper purge in terms of wow is needed.

Addons just rule the roost and of course it's going to be off-putting and feel hopeless to new people or even people who take a small break and don't know the latest tech.

  7. Ive played wow for over 10 years now, and I still have only a base idea of what every class does, but how is someone going to pick this game up and compete with someone with that experience? Theres pretty much no way to learn what classes do/have unless you play them, and very few people have the time/+willpower to dabble with every class to see what they do. Besides basic UI updates that blizzard desparately needs to do for PvP they should also have a way to see what spells are available to other classes, by visiting their class trainer or even better by being somewhere in our UI. You need PHD at times to keep up with this game, I can see why new players avoid PvP, they literally have no hope to even improve if they wanted to, plus most people are likely to just flame or be downright toxic if someone messes up instead of showing them the ropes, why put up with that if you're just trying to relax and play some video games, ESPECIALLY when Blizzard is known to turn a blind eye to PvP anyway?

  8. I mostly played classic recently but the sheer amount of sweat and tryharding even in CASUAL and starter ranks is just sad. The amount of addons, macros/scripts for milisecond timings and the obsession with min-maxing over ANYTHING, leading to monotone metas just makes it not worth to even try getting higher rating unless you want to waste so much unecessary effort learning things you don't even enjoy. Id guess retail isn't much different in terms of nerd sweat.
