Bro I'm not playing earthen
I'm a superficial person, I wanna be pretty
I want to have bearded female dwarves in my story. Thank you Zepla for informing me that some must have big mustaches or at least one bunny will be very upset with me. I will now come to use to never actually get any work done on it
I thought it would be cool to be an Earthen ever since we quested with them in Cataclysm. My main Shaman was made into an Earthen as soon as I was able to and he will remain an Earthen until they unlock Shaman for Worgen.
Horde Blood Elves were a mistake
Still baffles me that earthen don't have underwater breathing.
comeon… the eathen are really great as tanks.
I was genuinely considering maining an Earthen shaman, but once I got them unlocked, and leveled mine to the war within campaign, I just couldn't really get past my food made from cooking being useless to me lol
Something so small is the reason I stuck to my draenei shaman as my main, but I still have the earthen shaman, whom I changed to enhancement spec for something different 🙂
Earthen still suck! There is no reason as to why cooking/fishing is useless to them! The Buff from all cooked food/drink sucks! Cooked food/drink have way better buffs than the one they get! There is no reason as to why we can't make the food they sell everywhere the Earthen are! We can make food with gems/minerals made for Earthen! The Azerite ability sucks at higher levels! The fix they put in is stupidly lame! I love the earthen storyline, but their Racials need a major overhall!

Since the focus is now on the history of the Titans revealing itself and their machinery, pretty much no other race would have made sense. Earthen are the Titan's creation to maintain the machinery and the only one in high enough numbers and low enough power level/standing to be a reasonable choice for a player race.
Sure, you can just make something up randomly but that will never really fit in well.
Look at the Viera in FF14, which never got any reasonable lore, the were simply stolen from FF12 (like so much else) for fan service because they knew that people want bunny girls.
